Arguments to the norm in the discourses of V. V. Putin and D. A. Medvedev
The article presents arguments to the normin the discourse of V. V. Putin and D. A. Medvedev. Such argumentsappeal to the norm, custom, rule as the criterion of the correctness of judgments. The material for research is served by the official speeches made byRussian political leaders, and which cover the period from 2014 to 2016. The author gives the examples of examined arguments and analyzes norms, standards to which Russian politicians are referring. The article also stresses the functions of arguments to the normin the political texts of V. V. Putin and D. A. Medvedev. The paper shows that both Russian leaders appeal tointernational law, Russian legislation, public practice and economic rules as to the norms justifying the thesis. Therefore Putin and Medvedev build the image of politicians who pay attention to principles of public life. The main purpose of these arguments is to function as unarguable facts andpersuade voters to accept decisions discussed
Mathematical modeling of endocrine regulation subject to circadian rhythm
The 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine awarded for discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm has called attention to the challenging area of nonlinear dynamics that deals with synchronization and entrainment of oscillations. Biological circadian clocks keep time in living organisms, orchestrating hormonal cycles and other periodic rhythms. The periodic oscillations of circadian pacemakers are self-sustained; at the same time, they are entrainable by external periodic signals that adjust characteristics of autonomous oscillations. Whereas modeling of biological oscillators is a well-established research topic, mathematical analysis of entrainment, i.e. the nonlinear phenomena imposed by periodic exogenous signals, remains an open problem. Along with sustained periodic rhythms, periodically forced oscillators can exhibit various “irregular” behaviors, such as quasiperiodic or chaotic trajectories. This paper presents an overview of the mathematical models of circadian rhythm with respect to endocrine regulation, as well as biological background. Dynamics of the human endocrine system, comprising numerous glands and hormones operating under neural control, are highly complex. Therefore, only endocrine subsystems (or axes) supporting certain biological functions are usually studied. Low-order dynamical models that capture the essential characteristics and interactions between a few hormones can than be derived. Goodwin's oscillator often serves as such a model and is widely regarded as a prototypical biological oscillator. A comparative analysis of forced dynamics arising in two versions of Goodwin's oscillator is provided in the present paper: the classical continuous oscillator and a more recent impulsive one, capturing e.g. pulsatile secretion of hormones due to neural regulation. The main finding of this study is that, while the continuous oscillator is always forced to a periodic solution by a sufficiently large exogenous signal amplitude, the impulsive one commonly exhibits a quasiperiodic or chaotic behavior due to non-smooth dynamics in entrainment.Team Tamas Keviczk
Pavel Nikolayeviç Medvedev ve Edebiyat Araştırmalarında Biçimsel Yöntem: Sosyolojik Şiir Poetikasına Eleştirel Bir Giriş
Pavel Nikolayevich Medvedev (1892-1938), a Russian theorist, literary historian, and critic, was a highly qualified intellectual who was part of the "Bakhtin Circle." He also worked as a professor at St. Petersburg University. Medvedev was one of the founders of the Vitebsk "Cultural Renaissance", which was an intellectual movement in Russian thought during the 1910s and 1920s. Apart from his work in science and philosophy, he was also interested in the phenomenon of the St. Petersburg Traveling Theatre, which had a carnival-like structure. Medvedev was friends with social activist Mikhail Bakhtin, as well as Boris Pasternak and Fyodor Sologub. His friend Pasternak, who opposed the Soviet regime, was the author of the famous novel Doctor Zhivago, which contradicted the official artistic views. Fyodor Sologub, on the other hand, spent many years in exile in the provinces and, through works such as Bad Dreams, The Little Devil, and The Created Legend, introduced the morbid, cynical elements of European Fin de siècle (referencing social decay, boredom, cynicism, pessimism, the end of the century, and the collapse of civilization) into Russian prose. After the 1917 revolution, Medvedev held various government positions in the fields of education and publishing, publishing many of his writings on literary, sociological, and linguistic topics. Due to his dissenting views, Medvedev was arrested during the purges of the 1930s. Shortly after being detained by Joseph Stalin's regime, he disappeared. It was later discovered that he had been shot in the head and killed on July 17, 1938. This article will discuss Medvedev’s formal method in literary research and his critical views on the sociological poetics of poetry.
Image of Dmitry Medvedev as a candidate for and the elected President of the Russian Federation: the analysis of journalists' texts and images (2007─2008)
Atslēgas vārdi: tēls, mediji, prese, prezidents, Krievija, politiskā komunikācijaIn thesis “Image of D. Medvedev, the candidate for President and President elected of the Russian Federation: analysis of journalistic texts and photo images (2007-2008)” Author researched the image of D. Medvedev constructed by media when running in the Presidential election campaign, was the image dominated by image of successor of V. Putin after D. Medvedev being elected President or individual characters appear in his image. The image of D. Medvedev is studied on basis of image theory by K. Merten. Journalistic texts and photo images are analyzed and results summarized on basis of semantic differential by Ch. Osgood and semiotic approach of R. Barthes.
Author has discovered that image of D. Medvedev differs before and after elections: before it was blurred and unclear, after – became more individualistic and focused.
The thesis contains three respective parts: theoretical, methodological and research.
Key words: image, media, press, president, Russia, political communication
Hyperauthorship in Mikhail Bakhtin: The Primary Author and Conceptual Personae
This article explores the phemenon of hyperauthorship in intellectual writing: a primary author (hyperauthor) creates a number of secondary authors (hypoauthors), and develops possible conceptual systems on their behalf. The case under consideration is Mikhail Bakhtin and his complex relationship with his friends Pavel Medvedev and Valentin Voloshinov, members of the so called "Bakhtin's circle" (in the 1920s) who are credited with authorship of several books which may have been actually written by Bakhtin himself. Still unclear from biographical and historical perspectives, this problem of authentic attribution of Medvedev's and Voloshinov's texts can be clarified in the theoretical framework of "hyperauthorship" and "possibilistic thinking." This article applies Bakhtin's own theory of the "primary author immersed in silence," as well as Deleuze and Guattari's notion of "conceptual personae," to explain this case of "shared," or "transferred" authorship. The figures of Voloshinov and Medvedev, though historically real, may be viewed as Bakhtin's projections of "ideal," or "utopian" Marxism in linguistics and literary theory

PALAVRAS-CHAVE: “Círculo B.M.V.”; autoria; concepção dialógica de linguagem; discurso Abstract This paper, which retrieves some earlier writings of its author, aims to explore some elements relative to the constitutive centrality of the interlocutors' discursive image in the production of sense, approaching with this purpose the concept of authorship according to the conception of language and discourse of the " BAKHTIN, MEDVEDEV, VOLOSHINOV CIRCLE " (beyond false questions of authorship), a perspective whereby life and language intertwine: the act, the process of language exchange, along with statements/speeches, these latter understood not as products coming from ex nihilo, are the object of study and the center of the Circle’s theoretical and practical works. This paper also discusses the notion of ethos, in the perspective of Maingueneau and Amossy as well as the concept of author in Michael Foucault, so as to explore the specificity of the Circle's proposal and identity possible points of contact and divergence between these points of view.KEYWORDS: “B.
