No full textIn diesem Video wird der Output, den das Plugin Seilaplan liefert besprochen. Produkte, die ausgegeben werden können sind eine grafische Darstellung (Diagramm) der geplanten Seillinie, ein Kurzbericht, ein ausführlicher technischer Bericht sowie zwei CSV Files, welche die Koordinaten für das Seil, bzw. für die Stützen beinhalten. Außerdem wird die JSON-Datei „Projekteinstellungen“ ausgegeben, welche mit Hilfe des Plugins Seilaplan in ein beliebiges QGIS-File geladen werden kann.

Host Nation Support (HNS) in the Context of International Air Forces Exercises in the Czech Republic
No full textThe article analyses the Host Nation Support (HNS) planning process in five separate phases according to the NATO procedures. The author emphasizes the importance, purpose and result of every planning stage. The main objective of the article is to apply general rules to the concrete examples of international air forces exercises. The author further identifies his comprehension of HNS formed in the specific conditions of the 22th Helicopter Base. The logistic planning process
analysis is based on the experience from exercises Ramstein Rover and Ample Strike held in the period of 2012-2014. The paper is focused on exercises preparatory stages that create the basis for a successful accomplishment of the executive part. The results of the article present the trend of planning responsibility delegation to the tactical level and define the specifics of adapted planning process. The author’s contribution may be used as a lead for the future application of the HNS concept
Web-based multimodal graphs for visually impaired people
No full textThis paper describes the development and evaluation of Web-based multimodal graphs designed for visually impaired and blind people. The information in the graphs is conveyed to visually impaired people through haptic and audio channels. The motivation of this work is to address problems faced by visually impaired people in accessing graphical information on the Internet, particularly the common types of graphs for data visualization. In our work, line graphs, bar charts and pie charts are accessible through a force feedback device, the Logitech WingMan Force Feedback Mouse. Pre-recorded sound files are used to represent graph contents to users. In order to test the usability of the developed Web graphs, an evaluation was conducted with bar charts as the experimental platform. The results showed that the participants could successfully use the haptic and audio features to extract information from the Web graphs

Northwestern Mediterranean Pliocene Pollen Database (NWMPPD)
No full textSixty-two well-dated Pliocene pollen locations constitute this database covering six provinces (Catalonia, Roussillon, Languedoc, Provence, Southeastern Alps, and Liguria). They constitute the basis of a paper invited for a special issue of the journal Global and Planetary Change within the frame of the ‘PlioMIP3 Project’ (‘Advances in Paleoclimate Modeling of the Pliocene climate’, edited by Zhang Z., Li X., Chan W.-L. and Stepanek C.). The paper should be published by the end of 2025, coinciding with the date of free access to these pollen data.

No full textIm Vergleich zu zahlreichen anderen Veranstaltungen, die im Rahmen des umfangreichen Programmes der Medientage München 1989 durchgeführt werden, beschäftigen wir uns mit einer ernsten und, wie ich meine, auch anspruchsvollen Thematik. Wir wollen versuchen, "Berufs- und Handlungsproblemen des Journalismus" auf den Grund zu gehen. Sie alleine auf den wachsenden Konkurrenzdruck der Medien zurückführen zu wollen, wie aus dem Untertitel der Veranstaltung geschlossen werden könnte, hieße allerdings, unser Thema in unzulässiger Weise zu verkürzen. Es gibt angesichts einiger krisenhafter Erscheinungen im Journalismus, wie sie etwa am Beispiel des Geiseldramas Köln/Gladbeck am deutlichsten sichtbar wurden, doch ernstzunehmende Hinweise darauf, daß der Konkurrenzdruck des Journalismus in einer auf maximale Gewinne zielenden Presselandschaft und einem sich für private Programmanbieter in Hörfunk und Fernsehen stets weiter öffnenden Rundfunkmarkt steigt. (...) EnglishThe article is an extract from a lecture, titled ,Journalism Between Ideology and Responsibility", held by the author in the course of the Munich "Medientage" 1989. The theme of the meetingwas "Media without Morals?- Careers and Topical Problems Arising from Increased Competition within the Media". Pürer first explains the topic\u27s case history, resulting from current media events: the Barsche! affair, coverage of the catastrophes at Borken, Ramstein and Remscheid and, last but not least, the Gladbeck/Köln hostage drama. It is not without good reason that these cases have sparked fierce criticism and a dressing-down of journalism. In the second part of his study the author proposes a series of systematics for existing approaches to media ethics: individual ethics concerning the journaHst personally, institutional ethics concentrating upon the journalistic system, as weil as the ethics of collective responsibility, aimed at the public. At the end of the article are suggestions for strategies which may act as aids in strengthening journalistic ethics.
