O objetivo de suas reflexões é mostrar como a nova e íntima associação entre planejamento urbano, urbanismo e arquitetura vem se destacando nas metrópoles, notadamente naquelas do Oriente e Oriente Médio, regiões do globo onde, por razões estratégicas e econômicas, o capitalismo vem se consolidando de forma hegemônica. Ao reconhecer a importante contribuição analítica de Brasilmar Nunes, Christiane Girard introduz o texto, salientando traços da trajetória deste sociólogo que tanto influiu na sua produção acadêmica. Norma Lacerda, por sua vez, finaliza chamando a atenção sobre o ineditismo do artigo e comentando sobre a diversidade de temas por ele abordados.This article is an unpublished and unfinished work written by Brasilmar Ferreira Nunes, who died in April 2016. The purpose of his reflections is to show how the new and intimate association between urban planning, urbanism and architecture has been prominent in the metropolis. Especially those in the East and Middle East, regions of the globe where, for strategic and economic reasons, capitalism has been consolidating in a hegemonic way. Recognizing the important analytical contribution of Brasilmar Nunes, Christiane Girard introduces it, highlighting traces of the trajectory of this sociologist who influenced both his academic production. Norma Lacerda, in turn, ends by drawing attention to the novelty of the text and commenting on the diversity of themes addressed by it
The Bibliographic Concept of Work in Cataloguing and its Issues
No full textThis report explores the IFLA’s document Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR). It discusses the notion of work in cataloguing as it was built since the 1950s, inasmuch this notion constitutes the conceptual framework for the proposal. Also, the entity-relationship database modeling (ERDM) system is described as far as such model provides to FRBR the operative elements that make it functional. ERDM gives to FRBR a user-centered approach as well. In its third chapter, the report tests the FRBR model through its application to a set of items belonging to the novel Rayuela, by Julio Cortázar, held at the Benson Latin American Collection of the University of Texas at Austin. Finally, some critical issues are raised along with general conclusions regarding the functionality of the mode

No full textThe aim of this thesis is to determine how women are treated in selectedworks of Henry de Montherlant. This is explored by examining their relationshipswith other women as well as with men. Inevitably, this leads to an analysis ofthe multifaceted area of love. Part I researches Montherlant's prose work and included in this section is the investigation of the importance of 'l'ordre male' to the author and the influence this exerts over his early prose work in the areas of tauromachy, war and sport, and where the male adherence to this concept leaves women. The 'syncretisme et alternance' which is central to Montherlant's thinking is explored in this section.Part 2 is concerned with Montherlant's theatre in which the psychological development of the main characters is of great importance. It is in this section that a comparative study is made of the influence of Mme. Elisabeth Zehrfuss' written contribution to La Reine morte. Her unpublished notes are set out in full in the Appendix. The thesis also draws on the unpublished correspondence between Henry de Montherlant and Elisabeth Zehrfuss between the years 1934 and 1945. An investigation is made as to whether or not there are any differences between the way women are treated in Montherlant's prose and in his theatre and the conclusion is drawn that there are

Representative Bureaucracy and the Willingness to Coproduce: An Experimental Study
No full textRelying on the theory of representative bureaucracy—specifically, the notion of symbolic representation—this article examines whether varying the number of female public officials overseeing a local recycling program influences citizens’ (especially women's) willingness to cooperate with the government by recycling, thus coproducing important policy outcomes. Using a survey experiment in which the first names of public officials are manipulated, the authors find a clear pattern of increasing willingness on the part of women to coproduce when female names are more represented in the agency responsible for recycling, particularly with respect to the more difficult task of composting food waste. Overall, men in the experiment were less willing to coproduce across all measures and less responsive to the gender balance of names. Le poids des variables non économiques dans la formation des espaces urbains. Le cas du quartier de Casa Forte
No full textSymbolic values that are inherent to different zones of the city play an important role in the functioning of the "property" market. In order to understand such values, the author has chosen to study an area formed by a group of Recife's urban localities known as the Casa Forte district. The specific characteristics that make it unique and give the district its character arise from natural, historical and socio-culturel elements. These elements contribute to the fact that such an identity also reveals itself in the characteristics of the district society : a middle class and an upper middle class, though living alongside the lower class, give the district a positive image. This particularity is still found in : 1-the expressivity of relations among people and among social groups, 2 -the motivations underlying socio-spacial trajectories undertaken by its inhabitants, 3 -the meaning that a good number of households lend to the fact of living in the Casa Forte district, and 4 -the resulting formation of a certain community feeling which is commonly translated into attitudes armed at defending local values. However, the essential point, in the case of Casa Forte is that the process of appropriation of the district play a role in the creation and re-creation of symbolic values, which are easily appropiated by estate agents as monetary values.Les valeurs symboliques inhérentes aux diverses zones de la ville ont une importance fondamentale dans le fonctionnement du marché foncier et immobilier. Pour comprendre ces valeurs, nous avons élu comme terrain d'investigation l'ensemble des localités urbaines connu par la désignation toponymique de quartier de Casa Forte. Les spécificités qui l'individualisent et lui confèrent une identité propre sont liées à ses éléments naturels, historiques et socio-économiques. Tout contribue à ce que cette identité se révèle dans les caractéristiques de la société : une classe moyenne et une haute bourgeoisie qui, s'assemblant, confèrent une image positive à Casa Forte. Cette particularité est encore visible : 1 -dans l'expressivité des rapports interpersonnels et entre les groupes sociaux qui se sont structurés, 2 -dans les motivations des trajectoires socio-spatiales parcourues par ses habitants venus d'autres aires, 3 -dans la signification qu'une bonne partie des ménages donne au fait de résider dans le quartier, 4 -dans la formation d'un certain sentiment communautaire, souvent traduit par des attitudes de défense des valeurs locales. Un élément essentiel à propos du quartier de Casa Forte se trouve dans le fait que le processus d'appropriation du quartier participe à la création et recréation des valeurs symboliques, susceptibles d'être appropriées par les promoteurs immobiliers sous forme d'équivalents monétaires.Moura Lacerda de Melo Norma. Modelo para avaliação da eficácia da gestão de recursos humanos em saúde

Programa de Pós-graduação em Saúde PúblicaA gestão dos recursos humanos tem se configurado como um dos grandes desafios para os serviços públicos de saúde. As instituições dependem de seus trabalhadores com seus saberes, habilidades e atitudes para a realização de serviços com qualidade. Entretanto, fatores como rotatividade, falta de profissionais qualificados e dificuldades no campo legal afetam a eficácia da gestão neste campo. A avaliação das políticas de recursos humanos constitui-se como grande aliada para a melhoria desta realidade, pois permite a identificação dos problemas, o planejamento e o acompanhamento da área oferecendo informações capazes de subsidiar a tomada de decisões. Este estudo propôs e aplicou um modelo de avaliação da gestão de recursos humanos com indicadores de eficácia, com base nos Princípios e Diretrizes da Norma Operacional Básica de Recursos Humanos NOB-RH/SUS. O modelo é composto pelas dimensões Gestão do Trabalho no SUS, Desenvolvimento do Trabalhador no SUS, Saúde do Trabalhador do SUS e Controle Social da Gestão de Recursos Humanos no SUS. Utilizou-se um conjunto de 12 indicadores para a gestão de recursos humanos, elaborados a partir de discussões com profissionais da gestão estadual de saúde. A proposta foi aplicada nos municípios da macrorregional da Grande Florianópolis - SC, com a participação de 15 municípios. O modelo demonstrou validade de aplicação em municípios de diversos tamanhos permitindo sua utilização em regiões de maior abrangência. Os resultados da aplicação demonstraram bom desempenho para mais de 50% dos municípios apenas nos indicadores: "educação permanente em serviço", "impacto de ações de prevenção contra acidentes de trabalho" e "adequação do ambiente psicológico de trabalho". A amostra analisada indicou fragilidades na gestão de recursos humanos nas quatro dimensões estudadas com maior gravidade nas dimensões Gestão do Trabalho no SUS e no Controle Social da Gestão de Recursos Humanos no SUS
A interpretação da norma de revisão contratual do Código de Defesa do Consumidor
No full textNeste trabalho, procura-se demonstrar a importância da interpretação para a aplicação do Direito. Para tanto, analisam-se os conceitos de indeterminação da norma e da própria linguagem. A seguir, discorre-se sobre o objetivo da interpretação e seus limites e acerca da distinção entre a interpretação científica e a judicial. Passa-se a listar os critérios de interpretação, a saber, o literal, o contexto significativo da lei, a vontade do legislador, o teleológico-objetivo e o constitucional. Por fim, traça-se a moldura interpretativa da norma de revisão contratual de consumo, com base nos critérios interpretativos apresentados e conclui-se, pela interpretação branda da significação dos termos onerosidade excessiva, como sendo a adequada diante do sistema normativo e dos princípios éticos-jurídicos, em especial os constitucionais. Destarte, salienta-se a importância de fixação da moldura interpretativa da norma de revisão para a eficácia do direito e para o desenvolvimento nacional.</jats:p
