Do Pórtico à Urbe: a filosofia estoica e o direito romano nas Institutiones de Gaio

Direito.A monografia parte da filosofia estoica antiga para, a partir dela, estabelecer possíveis referências da doutrina do Pórtico no direito romano, em especial, nas Institutiones do jurisconsulto Gaio. Por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica, da leitura de fontes e do método dedutivo de abordagem, o trabalho delineia os traços principais do estoicismo antigo e identifica as transformações dessa filosofia no mundo romano. A partir dos traços gerais do estoicismo, o trabalho segue na tentativa de demonstrar qual o papel que o direito recebe no interior de seu sistema, especialmente no estoicismo dos romanos, bem como de discutir algumas das críticas tradicionais direcionadas ao estoicismo. Por fim, a pesquisa se lança numa análise das Institutiones de Gaio, importante manual de ensino do direito romano, selecionando na fonte fragmentos, conceitos e expressões que demonstram, se não uma conexão explícita, ao menos uma compatibilidade filosófica plena com a doutrina do estoicismo.Opus ex philosophia stoica antiqua incipit; ut relationes doctrinae Porticuus apud ius Romanum, Gaii iurisconsulti in Institutione ab ea instituat. Opus insignia praecipua Stoicorum disciplinae per modum deductiuum inuestigationem ad litteram et priscarum fontium lectionem molitur et transfigurationes in mundo Romano recognoscit. Hic opus iuris finem Romanorum Stoicorum rationis ex insignia philosophiae demonstrat tanti quanti aliquae uituperationes Porticui explicat. Denique opus sibi Gaii institutionum disquisitionem tribuit; fragmina et argumenta et uocabula excipit, sin minus expressis uerbis, ut plenam conuenientiam philosophica Stoicorum disciplina demonstret.Il lavoro inizia con la filosofia stoica come punto di partenza per stabilire possibili riferimenti della dottrina Portica nel diritto romano, in particolare nelle Istitutiones del giurista Gaio. Attraverso il mezzo deduttivo, la ricerca bibliografica e la lettura di fonti primarie, il lavoro delinea le tracce principali dello stoicismo antico e identifica le trasformazioni di questa filosofia nel mondo romano. Dalle tracce dello stoicismo, il lavoro dimostra la finalità del diritto nel sistema stoico dei romani, oltre a discutere alcune delle caratteristiche tradizionali del Portico. Infine, il lavoro s’incentra sull’analisi delle Institutiones di Gaio, importante manuale di insegnamento di diritto romano, e in esso seleziona frammenti, concetti ed espressioni per dimostrare, piuttosto che una connessione esplicita, la piena compatibilità filosofica con la dottrina dello stoicismo

In the anthology of his unpublished writings, his pedagogy appears as a paideitic philosophy founded on the principle of the coexistence of everyone, which has the task of indicating to each subject their responsibility towards the other and the common good. The coexistence, the openness, the addition, the transmutation, the value, the teacher-prophet, the open school, the reform of the University: these are some of the Capitinian themes that catch the reader's attention on the extraordinary relevance of a pedagogy that promotes the encounter between education and religion in view of the construction of a nonviolent world
Sexual Dysfunction in Patients With Chronic Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases: A neglected Issue
No full textIntroduction: Normal sexual activity is an important determinant of quality of life. Unfortunately, several chronic health disorders are associated with an impaired sexual function. Objective: To provide coverage of the current literature on prevalence and pathophysiology of sexual dysfunction in patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders Methods: A Comprehensive review of the literature on the prevalence of sexual dysfunction in chronic gastrointestinal and liver disorders, assessing the underlying mechanism (s) was performed. Results: Many gastrointestinal disorders, either functional or organic, are associated with some degree of sexual dysfunction. The main pathogenic mechanisms are: (i) the disease itself causing fatigue, anxiety or depression with a potential alteration of self-esteem; (ii) worry of transmitting a potential infectious agent through sexual activity; (iii) alteration of the endocrine mechanisms which are necessary for normal sexual functioning; (iv) chronic pro- inflammatory conditions which may cause endothelial dysfunction and abnormal vascular responses; (v) iatrogenic. Conclusion: Based on this review, a thorough evaluation of sexual function through validated questionnaires and/or psychological interviews with patients with chronic gastrointestinal disorders should be part of the clinical assessment in order to timely diagnose and possibly treat sexual dysfunction in this clinical setting. No full textThis book presents the results of the archaeological activities and specialistic studies carried out at the site of Abu Tbeirah (Nasiriyah, Province of Dhi Qar, southern Iraq) by the Iraqi-Italian joint mission of the Iraqi State Board of Antiquities and Heritage and of Sapienza, led by F. D’Agostino and L. Romano (Dipartimento – Istituto Italiano di Studi Orientali). In the volume the accomplishments of the first seven campaigns (2011-2016) are introduced together with an assessment of the palaeo-environment and landscape surrounding the site. After an introduction to the reasons that led to start the archaeological activities in Abu Tbeirah, written by HE Dr A. Al-Hamdani, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Iraq, the diggings in the south-eastern Area 1 are presented (the cemetery and the other activities identified immediately under the top-soil and the last phase of Building A). A preliminary assessment on the Early-Dynastic III/Akkadian Transition pottery horizon (2450-2150 BC) is presented as well. At the same time, the multifaceted analyses and studies, carried out on Abu Tbeirah’s site and findings, are included in the volume
