    The Development of Diorama Learning Media Transportation Themes to Develop Language Skill Children’s Group B

    Early Childhood is the beginning of basic skills development, and one such skill is the language skill. During this time, appropriate stimulus is required to assist the optimal development of children’s language skills, which includes the utilization of effective media learning in kindergarten. Field observation obtained by the researcher in Kindergarten PGRI 3 Tulusayu Tumpang Malang district showed that the only learning media currently used is in the form of visual utilities exhibited by the teacher and does not involve many children in the utilization. The purpose of this research and development is to produce an instructional media diorama that can be used as a language development tool for children in language skill group B. The learning media diorama is expected to help teachers to be more creative in using learning media as interactive game tools

    Abstract: Esthetic and typology of elementary children’s picture. The purpose of this research was to describe: (1) the diversity of theme, title, form/  object of children’s picture, (2) Period of children’s drawing, (3) Typology  and impression of children’ drawing space, (4) Visualization of children’s picture components, (5) picture media and art technique in the children’s picture. The design of the research was descriptive  qualitative. The subjects were 2009-2011 children’s pictures in East Java Province. Research result showed:  (1) the diversity of themes  and pictures’ title was a representation form  of  creative thinking, uniqueness  representation, effective, and variety impression among pictures. (2) Most of esthetic of typology, style and picture space impression  can be typed visual and a few can be   seen haptic. (3) A visual component of  Line, color, form, field, and texture were more dominant, while space and light components were not always appear in every children’s picture. (4) the diversity of the picture media were: pencil, color pencil, crayon, little marker, big marker, water verf, and ballpoint.Abstrak: penelitian ini tujuannya mendeskripsikan: (1) keragaman tema, judul, bentuk/obyek gambar anak, (2) periodisasi menggambar anak, (3) tipologi dan kesan ruang gambar anak, (4) visualisasi unsur rupa gambar anak-anak, (5) media rupa dan teknik seni pada gambar anak. Rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, subyeknya gambar anak SD di Jawa Timur tahun 2009-2011. Analisis kesenirupaan berupa penyajihan data dalam paparan deskriptif estetika dan tipologi gambar anak. Hasil penelitian: (1) keragaman tema, judul gambar adalah wujud representasi gagasan kreatif, keunikan, ekspresi dari pengalaman, realitas, imajinatif yang bermakna budaya dan lainnya. Gambar anak memiliki nilai estetis spesifik, menarik, dinamis, lugas, dan tidak sama kesannya antara satu gambar dengan gambar lainnya. (2) Estetika tipologi, gaya, dan kesan ruang gambar umumnya bertipe Visual, dan sedikit bertipe Haptic. (3) Unsur visual garis, warna, bentuk/bangun, bidang, dan tekstur lebih dominan, sedangkan unsur ruang dan cahaya tidak selalu tampak pada setiap karya gambar anak. (4) Keragaman media rupa yaitu: pensil, pensil warna, crayon, spidol kecil, spidol besar, water verf, dan bollpoint

    The study aimed to describe the relevance of vocational-school programs to job-vacancy requirements. Proportional cluster random sampling was employed to take the sample. Data were collected using documentation, observation, questionnaire, and interview and then analyzed for their content and percentage. The results show that vocational school’s programs had relatively a high relevance to job vacancy (66%). Among graduates of vocational schools, improving skills was done through courses, experience, and information from fellows and industry. Self-study and working experience were found useful to improve knowledge

    Multimedia Interaktif untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Siswa Tunagrahita

    Pembelajaran membaca permulaan bagi siswa tunagahita sangat penting sebab dapatmempengaruhi tahap perkembangan lainnya. Penggunaan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran sangatdiperlukan bagi siswa tunagrahita. Alat peraga atau media harus disesuaikan dengan karakteristik siswaagar siswa tunagrahita yang sulit berpikir abstrak dan daya ingat yang lemah. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk menghasilkan produk multimedia interaktif. Multimedia interaktif yang dikemas dalam CD inidiharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa tunagrahita. Metodepenelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diadaptasi dari metode Borg & GalL. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan danlayak dan efektif diterapkan bagi siswa tunagrahita dengan memperoleh skor validasi ahli media 97%(sangat layak), validasi ahli materi 76% (layak) dan validasi ahli pembelajaran ABK 88% (sangat layak).Efektifitas multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan terbukti efektif yang telah diuji dengan Uji Tmemperoleh kesimpulan t hitung 5 lebih besar dari t tabel 2,353, artinya media yang dikembangkanefektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan untuk siswa tunagrahita.Saran penelitianini adalah: (1) mengvalidasi media pada beberapa ahli minimal 3 validator disetiap aspek penilaian agarsemakin kuat hasil validasi media dan (2) uji coba lapangan lebih luas.Preliminary reading reading for students with tunagahita is very important because it can affectother stages of development. The use of teaching aids in learning is very necessary for students tunagrahita.The props or media should be tailored to the characteristics of the students so that the students withdifficult tunagrahita think abstract and weak memory. This study aims to produce interactive multimediaproducts. The interactive multimedia that is packaged in this CD is expected to increase the interest andreading ability of the beginning of the tunagrahita students. The research method used in this researchis adapted from Borg & GalL method. The results showed that interactive multimedia can improve thereading ability of beginning and appropriate and effective applied for the students with a score of 97%(very feasible), validation of material experts 76% (eligible) and validation of learning experts ABK 88%(very feasible). The effectiveness of interactive multimedia developed proved effective that has beentested with Test T got the conclusion t count 5 bigger than t table 2,353, meaning that media developedeffectively applied in reading learning beginning to student of tunagrahita.Saran of this research are:(1) validate media at Some experts at least 3 validators in each aspect of assessment for the stronger theresults of media validation and (2) field trials more widely

    The restrictiveness of the abstract information acceptance causes the legally blind ability in multiple accounting tends to be blocked. The objective of this research is to know about the effect of the implementation of jarimatika method toward the ability of multiple accounting fot the legally blind student in SLB Pembina Lawang Malang. The A-B-A design model. The subject of the research is the 20-years-old legally blind student with intellectual disabilities in XI grade. The finding of this research shows the effect of the implementation of jarimatika method toward the legally blind student, stated with the overlapped percentage between baseline phase-1 to intervention phase in 0% and intervention phase to baseline phase-2 is 80%.Pembatasan penerimaan informasi bagi anak tunanetra dinilai sangat abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode Jarimatika terhadap kemampuan berhitung matematika bagi anak hambatan penglihatan di SLB Pembina Lawang Malang.Desain yang dgunakan adalah model A- B-A. Subyek penelitian ini adalah anak hambatan penglihatan usia 20-tahun dengan cacat intelektual kelas XI. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan efek dari penerapan metode Jarimatika terhadap siswa hambatyan penglihatan, menyatakan dengan persentase tumpang tindih antara awal fase-1 fase intervensi 0% dan fase intervensi terhadap baseline fase-2 adalah 80%

    Design and development ritatoon learning media to supporting preschool children's social emotional and language development

    The purpose of this study is to develop a medium for learning ritatoon to support the social, emotional, and language development of preschool children. The method used in this research is research and development. The implementation of research and development uses the Borg and Gall model development procedure. The sample in this study was children aged 5-6 years. The data analysis technique is quantitative analysis in the form of a percentage used to percentage the validity of the ritatoon media and the paired sample t-test for the effectiveness test. The development product in the form of ritatoon learning media has gone through the process of validating learning designs, media experts, linguists, and early childhood social-emotional experts and obtaining score 88.88%, based on the eligibility criteria, the Ritatoon learning media can be said to be very valid or suitable for use. Furthermore, the results of the effectiveness test using paired sample t-test showed a sig value < .001, so it could be concluded that the ritatoon learning media was able to improve children's language and social-emotional development

    CHILDREN’S SONGS CREATION TECHNIQUE DEVELOPMENT FOR KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS

    This study aims to produce a creation in a form of techniques to create decent children’s songs used by kindergarten teachers. In addition, this study also aims to produce an advance creation in the form of technical guidebooks that can facilitate kindergarten teachers in creating children’s songs. Data obtained from experts’ evaluations consisting of one material expert and two teaching experts. In addition, the data were also obtained from product trial conducted in three steps; individual trial conducted on Al-Fadholi kindergarten and kindergarten group III – IGTKI Lowokwaru sub-district Malang Indonesia. One group pretest posttest design is conducted within the product trials. Based on the experts’ evaluations data and product trial related to the feasibility and effectiveness of the product obtained the result of creating children’s songs technique for kindergarten teachers is very feasible and effective to be applied. It is shown from the overall score of 1368 with percentage of 85,5% in excellent category. From the description, it can be defined that result of creating children’s songs technique for kindergarten teachers is very feasible and effective to be applied. The score is 688 with percentage of 86% in excellent category. For the technical guidebook of children’s songs trial result shows that posttest’s result is better than the pretest’s result, quantity is obtained with a score of 60 with a percentage value of 81.08% in a very good category, and obtained a score of posttest 211 with a percentage value of 71.28% in good category. This indicated that technical guide product obtained can ease kindergarten teachers to understand the process of creating children’s songs, thus the development required to be done. Keywords: Children’s songs creation techniques, kindergarte

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
