Patočka y Diotima. Notas para un diálogo sobre lo bello
Negative Platonism is perhaps one of Jan Patočka's texts that has received the most attention in the academic world. Its importance is rarely doubted. However, today we are far from exhausting the implications of the Czech philosopher's interpretation of Plato. In particular, the conception of the Platonic Idea that derives from Patočka's reading does not seem to have been sufficiently confronted with what Plato himself said in his dialogues. According to the author, there seems to be a particular affinity between what Diotima says in her speech in the Symposium and Patočka's interpretation of Plato, which, until now, does not seem to have received enough attention in the academic literature on these two authors. In a similar way to what Patočka proposes with the experience of freedom as a door that opens to the consideration of the Idea, Diotima anchors the recognition of beauty in itself with the experience of beauty in the world. This "anchoring" would be given by the ascending path proposed in the scala amoris, in which eros, assumes an “integrative function” within the lover. Precisely, this integrative function carried out by eros seems to give reason to the link that Diotima establishes between that which is beauty in itself and the true virtue that the lover engenders by experiencing it.Platonismo negativo es quizás uno de los textos de Jan Patočka que más atención ha recibido en el ámbito académico.
Abstract:The work is continuation and the updating of other works of the author on the brain Gramática of the Castilian language destined to the use of the Americans of Andrés Bello. We continue in the part of the workmanship by Rufino José Cuervo when approaching the main lines of this grammar so important during the century and a half in the countries of Castilian speaking. Its fundamental principles are investigated and not so much the uses of the castle it is discussed its Dependence and independence of the General Grammar of Port-Royal. . In the parts of the sentence the work is especially focused on the hierarchy of parts of the sentence (Jespersen). The similarity of the definition of verb with stoicism (Chrysippus) stands out. It insists on the novelty for the time of the definition of preposition. There is also a deficiency in the study of hypothetical nexus. It is therefore a partly theoretical, partly historical, study that wants to be critical and systematic.Key Words: Grammar, Andrés Bello, preposition, stoicism, General Grammar of Port-Royal
A Type I Half Logistic Exponentiated-G Family of Distributions: Properties and Application
Olalekan Akanji Bello*, Sani Ibrahim Doguwa, Abubakar Yahaya and Haruna Mohammed Jibril
Several new improved, generalized, and extended families of distributions have been discovered in recent years from families of distributions to aid their application in a variety of fields. The Type I half-logistic exponentiated-G family of distributions which generalizes and extends the Type I half-logistic family of distributions, with two extra positive shape parameters is investigated and proposed. We discuss some of the statistical properties of the proposed family such as explicit expressions for the quantile function, ordinary and incomplete moments, generating function, reliability, and order statistics. Some of the new family’s sub-models are discussed. We discuss the estimation of the model parameters by the method of maximum likelihood. Two real data sets are employed to show the applicability and flexibility of the new family
Optimised Condition Catalytic Upgrading of Agbabu Bitumen in the Presence of Rice Husks
In this study, the optimisation of bitumen collected from Agbabu Ondo State, Nigeria, was upgraded in the presence of rice husks in a nitrogen environment using a 100 ml autoclave batch reactor with the aid of the design expert software. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to determine the optimum conditions for the bitumen upgrading in the presence of rice husks using the Box-Behnken Designed Experiment (BBD). Three mesoporous aluminosilicate catalysts (NiMo/ZSM-5, CoMo/HZSM-5 and Mo/HZSM-5) were used to upgrade the bitumen at the obtained optimised point. The bitumen sample was characterised by saturates (53.48 wt.%), aromatics (12.84 wt.%), resins (15.37 wt.%), asphaltenes (8.86 wt.%) and an initial viscosity of 86.78 Pa.s, API gravity of 7.87 o and density of 1.0153 kg/l. The GC-MS result revealed that there were 42 chemical compounds present in the raw bitumen. The XRF result for the rice husks revealed that the silica to Alumina (SiO2/Al2O3) ratio was 11.89:1. RSM optimisation of the experimental runs with the autoclave reactor gave an optimum condition (Temperature of 345.716 oC, Reaction time of 30 min, and Rice husks of 1.0 wt.%) without employing any of the three mesoporous aluminosilicate catalysts. The responses obtained for the upgraded oil were viscosity 8.34 Pa.s, API gravity 24.520 o, residue yield 22.39 w/w% and light oil yield 50.064 w/w%. The experimental run with NiMo/ZSM-5 catalyst at the optimum conditions was observed to be more effective in the catalytic thermal cracking of the bitumen upgrading process, as the light oil yield was 70.42 w/w%, viscosity of 2.060 Pa.s, API gravity of 29.826o and residue yield of 10.66 w/w% compared to what was obtained from CoMo/HZSM-5 and Mo/HZSM-5 mesoporous aluminosilicate catalysts. The FT-IR and GC-MS of the upgraded Agbabu bitumen testified that the level of upgrade of the bituminous oil was satisfactory as the raw Agbabu bitumen had an initial viscosity of 86.780 Pa.s, API gravity of 7.87 o and density of 1.0153 kg/l in which all the initial core properties of the bitumen have shifted satisfactorily after the bitumen upgrade to produce light oil that fell within the acceptable range of refinery feedstock specifications for refining processes in the vacuum distillation unit (VDU)

Xuan Bello, translator and author : his role in the development of the Asturian literature of "Surdimientu"
Xuan Bello is one of the best-known Asturian authors in the Iberian Peninsula. His work as a poet developed in parallel with his work as a translator, especially of Portuguese and Galician, two languages that have influenced his own literary production in Asturian. His dual role as author and translator is inseparable from its cultural context, characterized above all by Surdimientu, the movement to recover the Asturian language and culture launched in 1974. Indeed, Asturian literature can be seen as an emerging literature, supported by a group of agents who take on various functions inside the literary system. The aim of this article is to analyse the relationship between Bello's poetry and prose with: 1) The role played by the author within the framework of Surdimientu, 2) The role played by his translations, and 3) The impact of the translations of his works in prose on the Catalan literary system.
Synergism of clinical evaluation and penile sonographic imaging in diagnosis of penile fracture: a case report
Abstract Introduction Penile fracture is an uncommon urologic emergency, and is the traumatic rupture of the tunica albuginea covering the corpus cavernosa. This usually occurs following blunt trauma sustained during coitus, masturbation or self-manipulations to hide or suppress an erection. Clinical diagnosis can often be easily made with typical history and examination findings. However, the patient may present atypically and/or with a suspicion of associated urethral injury. The roles of various diagnostic investigations are being evaluated in these situations. Case presentation We report the case of a 31-year-old African man with penile fracture and suspected associated urethral injury that occurred after self-manipulations to hide an erection. Conclusions Penile ultrasound and sonourethrography provide useful additional diagnostic information to supplement clinical history and physical examination findings and can be performed easily, at low cost and with no delays to surgery.</p

Andrés Bello, humanista
Resumen en inglésThe author presents an analysis of Andrés Bello as a defender of classicalhumanism, within the scope of his vast labours in Latín America. He points outhis exceptional capacities as a teacher, based on his faith in man, whom hewanted to see advancing towards a full development, both as an individual andas a social being, through education and love of freedom, generated, accordingto Bello, by the progress of wisdom, including the practica! application of thearts and sciences. It should also be signaled out that Bello's humanism owes much to his command of Latín, which permitted him to deeply understand the culture of the classics, law and Spanish language
