PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGY AND ITS IMPACT ON THE POSITIONING OF INDONESIAN TOURISM INDUSTRY
oai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/143The objectives of the research are to acquire findings as follows: a) Description of the existing condition of 5 (five) Indonesian’s tourism destination, i.e.: Bali, Yogyakarta, North and West Sumatera and South Sulawesi; b) Influence of public relations strategy on perception, attitude, and preference of 11 (eleven) tourist generating countries, i.e. USA, England, France, Germany, The Netherland, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia; c) Prospect tendency on repositioning of the foreign tourist’s perception, attitude, and preference in facing competition with other South East Asian regions tourism destinations. This research uses data based on cross-sectional method using Structural Equation Model (SEM), Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) and Trend Analysis. The observation units of the research originate from a sample respondents of 210 foreign tourists from 11 (eleven) tourist generating countries. The number of respondents from each country was taken proportionally. The results of the research are: a) Bali is still the most attractive destination, followed by Yogyakarta, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and South Sulawesi; b) The Influence of each Public Relations Strategy variable, i.e.: press relations, product publicities, corporate communications, lobbying, counseling, seminars, conferences, publications, events, sponsorships, speeches and news conferences are significant towards perception, attitude and preference of the 11 (eleven) tourist generating countries; and c) Prospect of the Indonesian tourism industry faces a huge opportunity as predicted in the trend of the increase number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia, since 2006 until 2010. It means that the trend is going to increase continuously provided accompanied by improving as well as implementing of integrated marketing communications strategy, especially in the field of public relations. Specifically it would be much more effective and efficient if those strategically efforts are in alliance and collaborations with other ASEAN regions or countries
The effect of job satisfaction and organizational culture on employee performance in autofinance business: the mediating role of organizational commitment
The present study analyzed the mediating role of organizational commitment in the effect of job satisfaction and organizational culture on employee performance. Job satisfaction and organizational culture may influence employee performance. The variable with the most significant effect on employee performance was analyzed hrough job satisfaction and organizational culture. The result of the study demonstrated the increase in employee performance through organizational commitment. It is recommended to consider the positive effect of job satisfaction and organizational culture in the auto financing business. Partial Least Square (PLS) was applied. The method allows the researcher to analyze the direct and indirect effects in the research model, i.e., the effects of job satisfaction and organizational culture on employee performance when organizational commitment acted as the mediating variable. This study involved several autofinancing companies. Four hundred twenty employees from these companies were recruited as respondents using a stratified sampling technique. This study found that job satisfaction acts as one of the factors affecting employee performance achievement, as proven by its direct and indirect effects on employee performance. Organizational culture can improve employee performance through organizational support and commitment. The auto financing industry should be able to implement a competitive organizational culture

Purchasing Massive Prestige Brands: The Exploration of Consumers’ Value Perceptions
The objective of the research was to analyze the internal aspects of individual consumer to perceive the massive prestige brands. The brand chosen was influenced by conspicuousness, uniqueness, functional value, extended-self, hedonism, exploration, value consciousness, vanity. The research used quantitative approach by conducting a survey college students, workers and housewives. A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed, but only 243 questionnaires were used for further analysis. The data were analyzed by multiple regressions. Conspicuousness consumption had an effect on purchasing of massive prestige brands positively and it was significant. Uniqueness had an effect on purchasing of massive prestige brands positively but it was not significant. Extended-self had an effect on purchasing of massive prestige brands positively and but it was not significant. Hedonism had an effect on purchasing of massive prestige brands positively and it was significant. Exploration had an effect on purchasing of massive prestige brands positively and it was significant. The effect of psychological contract, employer branding and job satisfaction on turnover intention: Organizational commitment as moderating variable at start-up IT company
IT-startup is an organization that starts a business in the technology field. The problem that is often faced is high-turnover. The reality of business processes takes a long time to develop into large companies. One of the potential factors in business success is human resources. The present study analyzes the direct and indirect effects of the psychological contract, employer branding, and job environment on turnover intention in IT start-up companies. Organizational commitment was employed as the moderating variable. The study was conducted in several IT start-up companies in Jakarta, focusing on four business fields: educational technology, IT consulting, software and hardware, and IT infrastructure. Respondents were 182 employees of IT start-up companies, recruited using a purposive sampling technique. Applying Partial Least Square, this study found that psychological contract, employer branding, and job environment, directly and indirectly, affect turnover intention. Organizational commitment was found to have the most significant direct effect on turnover intention. Meanwhile, employer branding exhibited the most significant indirect effect on turnover intention. IT start-ups need to strengthen their psychological contracts, employer branding, and job environment to reduce high turnover. IT start-ups must provide a conducive job environment to support employee work processes. This strengthens the psychological aspect of employees to stay afloat in the long term. A sense of loyalty, high commitment, and professionalism must be instilled in all employees as part of efforts to strengthen the psychological contract. The business success of an IT start-up becomes a good branding employer so that it is able to recruit potential human resources candidates. IT start-up companies need to strengthen their psychological contract, employer branding, and job environment in order to minimize turnover intention. Analysis of Customer Satisfaction with Short Food Supply Chain Method Purchases
This study was conducted to determine the scale of comparison of the value of exports and imports of Migas and non-Migas in Indonesia. The research time period is 10 years with a sample population of Indonesian export and import data. Data was obtained through the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and processed through descriptive qualitative methods and using economic line graphs. This research results in 1) The volume of Migas exports is on a stable scale, while the volume of non-Migas exports is on a more fluctuating scale and has a larger volume. 2) The volume of Migas imports is on a stable scale, while the volume of non-Migas imports is on a more fluctuating line and has a larger volume. 3) The value of Migas exports is on a stable scale, while the value of non-Migas exports fluctuates and increases and has a larger value. 4) The value of Migas imports is on a stable line scale, while the value of non-Migas imports fluctuates more and has a greater import value than Migas. Researchers concluded a suggestion that focuses on the government as the authority of international trade policy to further maximize policies related to the maximum value of exports rather than imports in order to maximize state revenue
