    Purposed to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes of Class X SMA Negeri 2 Makassar through the implementation of Quantum Learning method. The subjects of this research were 40 students of Class X.4 SMA Negeri 2 Makassar in Even Semester 2014/2015. The first cycle was held 6 times and the second cycle as well. Data retrieval was done by using learning outcome test and observation at each end of the cycles according to the lesson. Based on the results of data analysis obtained that qualitatively, some changes occurred. Students showed enthusiasm to follow the lesson, as well as interest and motivation to learn is improved. While the quantitative increase in the average score of students learning outcomes at the first cycle is 7.16 with a standard deviation is 1.09 to 8.14 with a standard deviation is 0.91 at the second cycle. It means that the result of students’ mathematic learning through the implementation of Quantum Learning method is increased

    Abstrak Kajian ini dijalankan untuk menganalisis aspek kemasyarakatan melalui pemikiran oleh A. Samad Said dalam novel popular beliau yang bertajuk Daerah Zeni dan Hujan Pagi. Hal ini kerana aspek kemasyarakatan yang dibincangkan dalam novel oleh A. Samad Said dapat menggambarkan kekuatan pemikiran pengarang melalui kreativiti beliau yang dapat memberi sumber maklumat terkini kepada khalayak atau pembaca. Oleh itu, kajian ini juga dijalankan bertujuan mengenal pasti dan menganalisis aspek kemasyarakatan melalui pemikiran A. Samad Said dalam novel Daerah Zeni (1985) dan Hujan Pagi (1992). Di samping itu, reka bentuk kajian ini bersifat kualitatif melalui kaedah kepustakaan dan analisis kandungan teks. Selain itu, teori sosiologi dijadikan sebagai deduktif untuk memantapkan analisis perbincangan. Sebagai kesimpulannya, hasil dapatan kajian ini membuktikan bahawa A. Samad Said bijak mengutarakan cetusan idea dan kreativiti dalam usaha membincangkan isu semasa yang dapat diterima secara terbuka oleh masyarakat di dalam novel popular beliau. Abstract This study was conducted to analyze the aspects of society through the thinking by A. Samad Said in his popular novel titled Daerah Zeni and Hujan Pagi. This is because the societal aspects discussed in the novel by A. Samad Said can illustrate the strength of the author\u27s thinking through his creativity which can provide the latest sources of information to the audience or readers. Therefore, this study was also conducted by aiming at identifying and analyzing the aspects of society through the thinking by A. Samad Said in the novels Daerah Zeni (1985) and Hujan Pagi (1992). This study is qualitative in nature by using the library methods and text content analysis. In addition, sociological theory is used deductively to strengthen the analysis of the discussion. This study has proven that A. Samad Said has wisely expressed the spark of ideas and creativity in an effort to discuss current issues that can be openly accepted by the community in his popular novel. &nbsp

    Control-theoretic methods for biological networks

    Feedback is both a pillar of control theory and a pervasive principle of nature. For this reason, control-theoretic methods are powerful to analyse the dynamic behaviour of biological systems and mathematically explain their properties, as well as to engineer biological systems so that they perform a specific task by design. This paper illustrates the relevance of control-theoretic methods for biological systems. The first part gives an overview of biological control and of the versatile ways in which cells use feedback. By employing control-theoretic methods, the complexity of interlaced feedback loops in the cell can be revealed and explained, and layered feedback loops can be designed in the cell to induce the desired behaviours, such as oscillations, multi-stability and activity regulation. The second part is mainly devoted to modelling uncertainty in biology and understanding the robustness of biological phenomena due to their inherent structure. Important control-theoretic tools used in systems biology are surveyed. The third part is focused on tools for model discrimination in systems biology. A deeper understanding of molecular pathways and feedback loops, as well as qualitative information on biological networks, can be achieved by studying the “dynamic response phenotypes” that appear in temporal responses.     Pengaruh Model Accelerated Learning Terhadap Disposisi Matematis Siswa

    Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Accelerated learning Terhadap Disposisi Matematis Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri Rappang yang berjumlah 86 orang dan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII A yang berjumlah 30 orang dan kelas VIII B yang berjumlah 30 orang. Instrument dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, lembar observasi dan angket. Data yang  dikumpul di analisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistic deskriptif, statistic inferensial dan analisis angket. Dari hasil analisis statistic, diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre-test pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 53,12 dan kelas control 52,2. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 88,18 dan kelaskontro l61,01. Dilihat dari aktivitas siswa diperoleh rata-rata persentase 88%. Untuk lembar keterlaksanaan peneliti rata-rata persentase 100%. Berdasarkan hasil persentase angket disposisi matematis siswamenunjukkan bahwa dari 14 pernyataan yang diberikan rata-rata persentase yang merespon positif mencapai 96%, sedangkan rata-rata persentase yang merespon negative hanya 4%. Jika ditinjau berdasarkan criteria penafsiran persentase jawaban angket disposisi matematis siswa yang merespon positif berada pada persentase criteria  dengan penafsiran hampir seluruhnya yang merespon positif. Hasil perhitungan uji t untuk data post-test diper oleh data nilai thitung>ttabel yaitu 11,230> 1.669, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Kemudian signifikansi di dapat 0,000, karena signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, maka H0 di tolak dan H1 diterima. Dari hasil analisis statistic deskritif, statistic Inferensial dan analisis angket disimpulkan ada pengaruh penerapan model accelerated learning terhadap disposisi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri Rappan

    The low numeracy literacy skills of students are due to the fact that the mathematics learning process has not yet produced the habit in students of reading with reflection and applying thinking and skills in understanding important information in solving problems. The aim of this research is to determine the increase in students\u27 numeracy literacy skills through the application of problem based learning (PBL). This research is classroom action research that describes students\u27 numeracy literacy abilities. The subjects of this research were class VIII students at SMP 1 Mamasa with a total of 15 students. The research results showed that the average numeracy literacy score in cycle I was 64.13 or in the medium category with 20% completeness. The average value of numeracy literacy in cycle II increased to 100 or was in the high category with 100% completeness. The increase in students\u27 numeracy literacy skills was 35.87, which means that the problem based learning (PBL) learning model can improve the numeracy literacy skills of junior high school student

    This research is experimental research. The population in this study was all students of Class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sumarorong. Samples of 42 people consisting of class VIII A of 24 people and class VIII B as many as 18 people taken in random sampling. In this study used test instrument study results, learning model implementation sheet, and student activity sheet. The Data obtained is analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on data analysis results, both groups are normal and homogeneous distributions, so that hypothesis testing is performed using Test-t statistics. Based on the test-T statistics obtained: 1) The median value of the experimental class pretests 54.94 while the control class is 53.80, and the average Postest experimental class is 78.17, while the control class is 68. 2) for the implementation of the Inkuiri model's execution sheet after analyzed was obtained an average of 94%, as well as the activity sheet of students for the experimental class obtained 61% while the control class was 38%. and test-T acquired significant 0.024 < 0.05 This indicates that H0 was rejected and H1 received. Thus, it can be concluded that the Learning model inquiry affect the outcome of mathematics for students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 sumarorong

    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VIIIH SMP Negeri 4 Polewali. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari: (1) Lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, (2) lembar observasi aktivitas siswa (3) Tes Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis.  Lembar observasi di analisis secara kualitatif dan Tes Kemampuan penalaran di analisis secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis  statistik deskriptif. Adapun hasil  analisis penelitian lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I di peroleh 77,27% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 90,90%. hasil analisis penelitian pada lembar aktivitas peserta didik siklus I diperoleh 85,98% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 91,22%. Sedangkan hasil analisis  tes kemampuan penalaran matematis  peserta didik di peroleh pada siklus I ketuntasan  klasikal hanya mencapai 23,33% dan pada siklus II ketuntasan klasikal peserta didik meningkat menjadi 80%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat simpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran REACT dapat meningkatkan kemampuan Penalaran matematis peserta didik kelas VIIIH SMP Negeri 4 Polewali
