Nutrien Tercerna dan Energi Metabolis Puyuh yang Mendapat Tepung Limbah Penetasan dengan atau Tanpa Kerabang
This research aimed to investigate the effect of whole hatchery waste meal (WHWM) or shells hatchery waste meal (SHWM) in the ration on digestible nutrient and apparent metabolizable energy (AME). A total of 500 quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) 30 days with an average initial body weight of 94,7 ± 4,2 g were used. The research was designed to completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 5 replicates with 20 quails per replicate. The dietary treatments were: P0 = basal ration, P1 = 96% basal ration + 4% WHWM, P2 = 92% basal ration + 8% WHWM, P3 = 96% basal ration+ 4% SHWM and P4 = 92% basal ration + 8% SHWM. The commercial ration was fed to quails aged 30–39days. At the age of 40–42 days, quails were adapted to basal ration. The nutrient digestibility was measured using the total collection method after 2 × 28days of treatment. The data were analyzed using variance analysis and if there was a treatment effect, continued by orthogonal contrast test. The results showed that feeding WHWM or SHWM up to 8% increased the digestible crude fat and AME but did not increase digestible crude protein and dry matter. The digestible crude fat and AME of quails fed SHWM was higher than that of quails fed WHWM. Furthermore, the digestible crude fat of quails fed 8% WHWM was higher than that of quails 4%, but the opposite result was obtained for me. Feeding 8% SHWM generated a higher digestible crude fat than 4% SHWM.
 
ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR KEBERDAYAAN PETERNAK MELALUI POLA KEMITRAAN BROILER
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor keberdayaan peternak kemitraan ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada perusahaan kemitraan PT Manyar Panda Mandiri Grup. Teknik sampling pada penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling diperoleh 145 responden. Metode pengambilan data primer menggunakan kuesioner berbasis googleform dengan skala likert. Metode analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian faktor karakteristik usia peternak 31-40 tahun (39.31%), pendidikan SMA 77 orang (53.1%), Pengalaman beternak paling tinggi 5 tahun sebanyak 88 orang (60.69%). Jumlah kandang 1-2 kandang sebanyak 119 orang (82.07%) dan tipe kandang terbuka dengan jumlah 103 orang (71.03%). Pekerjaan pokok yaitu sebagai peternak sejumlah 107 orang (73.79%) dengan mayoritas pendapatan diatas 10.000.000 berjumlah 61 orang (42.07%). Lama bermitra mayoritas peternak adalah <3 periode dan >6 periode sejumlah 50 orang (34.48%). Pada variabel pernilaian technical service, variabel peran rata rata nilai 4,00, variabel kinerja rata rata 3,92 serta variabel inovasi rata rata 3,93. Variabel keberdayaan peternak memiliki rata rata 3,96. Simpulan penelitian ini keberdayaan secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh faktor karakteristik peternak, peran, kinerja dan inovasi TS.Kata kunci: purposive sampling, google form, analisis deskriptif, kemitraan broiler, keberdayaan peternak AbstractThe research to analyze factors of empowerment broiler chicken partnership. The resulte characteristics of age 31-40 years (39.31%), Education of senior high school 77 people (53.1%), the experience is 5 years 88 people (60.69%). The number of pen 1-2 is 119 people (82.07%) and the type of open house is 103 people (71.03%). The main job is a farmer of 107 people (73.79%) with the majority income above 10,000,000 per period amounting to 61 people (42.07%). The length of partnering majority is <3 and >6 periods amounting to 50 people (34.48%). Technical service value variable, the role variable is 4.00, performance variable is 3.92 and the innovation variable is 3.93. The farmer empowerment variable has an average of 3.96. The conclusion, empowerment was significantly influenced by factors such as breeder characteristics, role, performance and TS innovation. Proses Powderisasi Zat Warna Alami Dari Buah Mangsi (Phyllanthus reticulatus Linn.) Dengan Alat Spray Dryer Serta Aplikasinya Terhadap Pewarnaan Kain Batik
Penggunaan zat warna sudah didambakan oleh manusia dalam setiap segi kehidupan. Namun, penggunaan zat warna alami sendiri masih jarang digunakan oleh para pengusaha batik dengan alasan antara lain kepraktisan. Diharapkan dengan proses powderisasi, zat warna alami lebih praktis digunakan dan lebih mudah untuk disimpan/dikemas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang spray dryer zat warna alami dengan variabel-variabel perancangan yang optimal serta efektif dalam pengoperasiannya, dengan fokus untuk memperoleh kondisi yang optimal dalam mendapatkan bubuk (powder) yang terbaik dan mengaplikasikan bubuk zat warna alami pada pewarnaan kain batik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Proses Teknik Kimia, Fakultas Teknik Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta.
Materi yang digunakan adalah Buah Mangsi (Phyllanthus reticulates Linn.), dan seperangkat alat untuk proses ekstraksi. Materi yang dipergunakan untuk membuat spray dryer adalah lembaran plat stainless steel, mur, baut, blower, motor penggerak, keran, seperangkat pemanas/kompor gas. Pengambilan zat warna dari buah mangsi dilakukan dengan metode ekstraksi padat-cair
(leaching) dan proses powderisasi menggunakan spray dryer. Spray dryer ini dirancang terdiri atas tangki pemanas udara, tangki pengering, nozzle, blower, kompresor dan tempat umpan bahan. Sebagai pemanas digunakan kompor gas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan blower yang maksimal untuk menghasilkan panas di tangki pengering adalah 1225 rpm. EFEKTIVITAS BETAIN PADA PAKAN AYAM BROILER RENDAH METIONIN BERDASARKAN PARAMETER BERAT BADAN DAN KARKAS
This experiment was conducted to investigate the efficacy of methyl groups donor of betaine to spare methionine based on performance and carcass in broiler chickens. In total, 100 day old broiler chickenss were used in this experiment. They were allocated to 4 dieaty treatmants in 5 replicates with 5 broilers each. The basal diet was deficient in methionine. The control diet was obtained from basal diet supplemented with methionine to meet the requirements 5 g/kg diet for starter period and 3.8 g/kg diet for finisher period. The rest 3 treatments were basal diet deficient in methionine supplemented with 1, 2 and 3 g betaine per kg diet. The variables that were observed included average daily gain and carcass characteristics. The data were than analyzed by analysis of variance of Completely Randomized Design and continued with Dunnet test. The result indicated that supplementation of 1 and 2 g betaine per kg diet deficient in methionine resulted the broiler performance which was not different with supplementation of methionine. Accordingly, carcass characteristics for broilers fed diet supplemented with methionine were not different with that supplemented with betaine, which indicated that betaine may reduce the methionine level in the broiler diet. It can be concluded that betaine spares metionine in broiler diets
PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGEMBANGAN PASAR KUMANDANG
Bongkotan Hamlet is the smallest hamlet located in Bojasari Village, Kertek District, Wonosobo Regency. In this place there is a site of Bongkotan Temple which is the legacy of the Syailendra Dynasty. Unfortunately, this rich history has not been managed optimally. Seeing this condition, Sigit Budi Martono along with creative activists in Bongkotan Hamlet invited the community to participate in reviving the tourism potential. The idea was initiated by creating the Kumandang Market located on Bongkotan hill, just across the Bongkotan Temple site area. It is intended that the existence of temple sites and village markets can be mutually integrated so that it can attract tourists to visit. Finally, after going through a preparatory process involving the local community, the official Kumandang Market was held on June 24, 2018 by utilizing the momentum of the Eid Mubarak holiday. Until now, the Kumandang Market has been held 18 times with the number of visitors increasing every week. This shows the existence of community participation in the development of the Kumandang Market. Based on the results of the study, community participation in the development of the Kumandang Market is indicated by the participation in decision making in Kumandang Market planning, participation in the implementation of the Kumandang Market, participation in taking utility of Kumandang Market, and participation in evaluating the Kumandang Market
PENGEMBANGAN SCREENHOUSE BERBASIS AGROWISATA SEBAGAI UPAYA MENCETAK TECHNOPRENEUR YANG UNGGUL
Abstract. The purpose of this program are to develop screenhouse in Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Sebelas Maret, both for internal education (on campus), external (off campus) and entrepreneurial business with the concept of agrotourism. The method used are forming and developing business unit. Step of activities include preparation, construction of screenhouse areas and other supporting facilities, making fishponds, planting fruit, vegetable, decoratives plants, and product marketing. The results of this program provide education to students and the community relating to organic farming, as well as producing fruit, vegetable, and fish. Promotion was carried out using online media and leaflets. Four students at the first year doing internship to become technopreneur in agriculture.
Abstrak. Tujuan dari Program Pengembangan Unit Produk Intelektual Kampus (PPUPIK) ini adalah mengembangkan screenhouse di Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sebelas Maret secara maksimal, baik untuk edukasi internal (dalam kampus), eksternal (luar kampus) maupun bisnis wirausaha dengan konsep agrowisata. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa tahapan pembentukan dan pengembangan unit usaha bisnis. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi persiapan, pembangunan area screenhouse dan sarana penunjang lainnya, pembuatan kolam, penanaman tanaman buah, sayur dan hias, serta pemasaran produk. Hasil dari program ini memberikan edukasi kepada mahasiswa maupun masyarakat berkaitan dengan pertanian organik, serta memproduksi tanaman buah, sayur, dan ikan. Promosi dilakukan menggunakan media online dan leaflet. Tahun pertama sudah dapat memagangkan empat mahasiswa menjadi technopreneur di bidang pertanian
(B. Pertanian) Optimasi Produktivitas Burung Puyuh (Coturnix coturnix japonica) melalui Transfer Gugus Metil dari Betain dalam Pakan
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan paket teknologi pakan pada usaha peternakan burung puyuh, berupa formula pakan yang efisien dengan suplementasi betain yang murah serta mudah diaplikasikan oleh peternak. Sebanyak 1.020 ekor puyuh digunakan dalam penelitian ini, terdiri dari 900 ekor untuk uji efisiensi penggunaan nutrien dan 120 ekor untuk kecernaan. Pakan disusun terutama dari jagung kuning, bekatul, bungkil kedelai dan tepung ikan dengan kandungan metionin 0,3%, 0,4% dan 0,5% masing-masing disuplementasi betain sebesar 0%, 0,07%; 0,14% dan 0,21%, sehingga secara keseluruhan terdapat 12 kombinasi perlakuan. Pada masing-masing perlakuan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan 5 ulangan, dan setiap ulangan menggunakan 15 ekor (efisiensi penggunaan nutrien) dan 2 ekor puyuh (kecernaan). Data yang diamati adalah kecernaan bahan kering, protein, lemak kasar, serat kasar dan abu serta efisiensi penggunaan protein dan lemak. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis statistik menggunakan analisis variansi rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial 3×4 dan jika terdapat perbedaan yang nyata dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan’s untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar perlakuan. Taraf signifikansi yang digunakan adalah P<0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level metionin 4 dan 5 g/kg menghasilkan kecernaan lemak kasar, massa telur, berat telur, persentase berat kerabang dan efisiensi penggunaan lemak lebih tinggi dari pada 3 g/kg (P<0,05), serta konversi pakan yang lebih rendah daripada 3 g/kg (P<0,05). Sementara itu suplementasi betain 1,4 g/kg menghasilkan kecernaan bahan kering, lemak kasar dan abu lebih tinggi daripada B0; 0,7 dan 2,1 g/kg. Suplementasi betain 2,1 g/kg menghasilkan kecernaan protein kasar lebih tinggi daripada lainnya. Oleh karena level metionin 4 dan 5 g/kg menghasilkan kecernaan nutrien dan performan yang setara, maka level metionin 4 g/kg dianggap lebih efisien. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pakan yang menghasilkan kecernaan nutrien, performan maupun kualitas telur terbaik adalah yang mengandung metionin 4 g/kg serta pakan yang disuplementasi betain sebesar 1,4 g/kg
GERAKAN VER-HANG (VERTIGO HANGINGPLANT) UNTUK PEMANFAATAN SAMPAH BOTOL PLASTIK DI DUKUH SELO TAWANGSARI SUKOHARJO
Waste plastic bottles often become a prolonged problem in every area. Process recycling to reduce population can be done by making use of disused plastic bottles as planting media vertikultur. The background of the abundance of junk of disused plastic bottles that are buried in the bank trash dukuh Selo and a nursery of plants that are less walking and antusiame communities in building the village. Movement of Ver-Hang has a purpose in order to improve awareness of recycling of disused plastic bottles that were previously only sold just become a more profitable business venture. The method used is a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Participatory Rural Appraisal is a method of approach in the process of empowerment and increased participation of the community. Stages in the form of socialisation making vertikultur making, socialization, as well as business training makrame and effort. Commercial analysis of a product is done to find out the feasibility of product sales hangingplant. Through the analysis of R/C proved that the products worth hangingplant to commercialized. The result of the movement of the Ver-Hang change mindsets of society and increasing the motivation of community after the existence of the program to be more creative in utilizing the bottles. The success of this movement is shown by the growing motivation of the community, demonstrated through the analysis of wilcoxon test. In the end it can be concluded that this movement can be the best solution in utilising disused plastic bottles into a vertical garden that has aesthetic and commercial side of the highly profitable. Pengaruh Suplementasi Betain terhadap Beberapa Parameter Lipida dan Protein Darah pada Puyuh
<p>The objective of this research was to see the influence of betaine supplementation on some of blood lipid and protein parameters in laying quails. The research used four treatments based on completely randomized design. Each treatment was replicated five times with seventeen quails each.<br />The treatments used 340 quails aged 4 weeks with average weigh 98.31±8.67 grams. The supplementation levels of betaine were 0 (control); 0.07; 0.14 and 0.21%. Twenty quails aged 14 weeks were taken from each replicate to determine blood lipid and protein. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and if there was an effect of treatment, then it was analyzed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The result showed that betaine supplementation at level 0.14% resulted higher level of low density lipoprotein compared with the other treatments. It could be concluded that betaine supplementation at 0.14% resulted higher concentration of low density lipoprotein than control.<br />Key words: quail, betaine, blood lipid, blood protein</p></jats:p
