Основополагающим является вопрос о роли событийно-биографического фактора в художественном
творчестве, в частности, взаимозависимости характера лирического героя и литературной личности
автора, и шире – ретроспективного конструирования историко-литературного образа. Внимание
сконцентрировано на зрелом периоде творчества Я.П. Полонского (1870 – 1890-е годы).В статті наведені історико-літературні та психологічні мотивування життєтворчих
настанов Я.П. Полонського як у творчості, так і в «літературній» біографії. Головним є питання про
роль дієво-біографічного чинника в художній творчості, зокрема, взаємозалежності характеру
ліричного героя та літературної особистості автора, і більш широко – ретроспективного
конструювання історико-літературного образу. Увага сконцентрована на зрілому періоді творчості
Я.П. Полонського (1870 – 1890-і роки).The article deals with the historical-literary and psychological motivations of Y.P. Polonsky’s lifecreation
attitudes in his works as well as in his «literary» biography. The fundamental issue is the role of event
and biographical factor in artistic creation, in particular, the nature of the interdependence of the lyrical and
literary personality of the author, and in the broader meaning – a retrospective construction of historical and
literary image.
The attention is focused on the mature period of Y.P. Polonsky’s creativity (1870 – 1890s), when the artistic
image of the poet is recognizable, has well-established features, and his literary reputation is undeniable.
However, the peculiarity of the creative method of Y.P. Polonsky's mature period is «experiencing the past». The
reflective nature of his work is obvious («To I.S. Turgenev», 1879 (under the title «Old message»); «At the
door», 1888). Hence the frequency of the motives of previous years in Y.P. Polonsky’s lyrics, united by the
themes of love, dreams, sleep and night, enjoying the natural world. Substantial transformation is associated
with the evolution of the lyrical hero, who is the same age as the poet.
Another process is also emphasized «the struggle of poetry and prose» (Y.I. Eichenwald) in Y.P. Polonsky’s
mature years.
Stylistic and ideological transformation of Y.P. Polonsky’s mature lyrics is due to psychological and
characterological traits of his personality – personal kind-heartedness, resulting in Polonsky’s creative response
to the socio-historical events («About him», 1871 (subsequently entitled «About N.A. Nekrasov»); «In memory of
S.Y. Nadson», 1887, «In memory of V.M. Garshin», 1888)

Are effects of the symmetric and asymmetric tonic neck reflexes still visible in healthy adults?
No full textItem does not contain fulltextWhen a cat's head is rotated in a transverse plane to one side, the legs on that side of the body extend, while on the other side, they flex (asymmetric tonic neck reflexes ATNR). On the contrary, when the head is rotated in a sagittal plane both legs flex when the head flexes, and extend when the head extends (symmetric tonic neck reflexes STNR). These reflexes have also been found in newborn babies and are thought to be a motor primitive, which is suppressed later in life. Still, using a test in which children sit on hand and knees, the ATNR and STNR can be found in children up to 9 years of age. This may suggest that these reflexes may still be involved in motor control in these children. Whether this is also the case in full-grown adults has thus far only been studied using coarse methods. Thus, for the current study, we set out to measure in detail whether the ATNR/STNR can still be evoked in healthy adult subjects. We measured 10 subjects who were asked to sit on their hands and knees while (1) their head was rotated left and right by an experimenter, (2) their head was flexed and extended by an experimenter. Kinematics was registered using a Vicon system. Elbow and head angles were detrended, and a regression analysis was performed, to investigate the effects of head angle on elbow angle. Results clearly showed the existence of the ATNR and STNR in adult subjects. A next step will be to assess the effects of the ATNR and STNR during everyday motor control tasks, such as making head rotations while driving a bike
