TRIS-catalyzed hydrogen exchange data on the wt and modified P1 duplexes

KUALITAS SEMEN BEKU SAPI BALI DENGAN PENAMBAHAN BERBAGAI VITAMIN E KOMERSIL DALAM PENGENCER TRIS KUNING TELUR
Inseminasi Buatan merupakan salah satu alternatif dalam upaya peningkatan produktivitas dan populasi ternak, karena dengan inseminasi buatan semen dari seekor pejantan dapat digunakan untuk mengawini banyak betina, inseminasi buatan juga dapat memperkecil bahaya penularan penyakit kelamin dan spermatozoa yang digunakan kualitasnya terjamin karena berasal dari pejantan yang telah diseleksi (pejantan unggul). Salah satu bahan alternatif pengencer semen adalah vitamin E komersil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas semen beku sapi bali dengan penambahan berbagai konsentrasi vitamin E komersil dalam pengencer tris kuning telur terhadap kualitas semen beku sapi bali sebelum dan sesudah thawing. Penelitian ini dilakukan di BIBD Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru, pada bulan September sampai Okbober 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 6 level vitamin E komersil (0%; 1%; 2%; 3%; 4%; 5% di dalam bahan100 ml pengencer) dan masing-masing 3 kali ulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah persentase motilitas, sperma hidup dan abnormalitas spermatozoa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan 5% vitamin E dalam tris kuning telur dapat meningkatkan motilitas spermatozoa 49.04% (P0,01). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan 5% vitamin E dalam pengencer tris kuning telur dapat menigkatkan motilitas spermatozoa, persentase spermatozoa hidup dan mempertahankan abnormalitas pada semen beku sapi bali pasca thawing.Kata kunci: Abnormalita, Motilitas, Sapi Bali, Sperma Hidup, Vitamin E
Visualization of the interaction between tris and lysozyme with a biosensor based on total internal reflection imaging ellipsometry
Weak affinity interactions among biomolecules have attracted more and more attentions for they play a significant role in organisms. However, it is difficult to characterize these interactions due to the limitation of the detection approaches. The biosensor based on total internal reflection imaging ellipsometry (TIRIE) is a real-time analysis method for biomolecular interaction detection with the advantages of high throughput and sensitivity. The interaction between tris and lysozyme (LZM), a typical example of weak affinity interactions, has been detected with TIRIE as a trial. Tris is immobilized on the gold thin film substrate to form the biosensing surface and then LZM as well as its negative controls is delivered to the tris-immobilized surface. The interaction process between tris and LZM is recorded by TIRIE biosensor to forma real-time curve and its dissociation constant is deduced as 7.6 x 10(-5) M, which is in agreement with the results in the reported work by other investigators. Kinetic analysis of the weak affinity interaction between tris and lysozyme
The biosensor based on total internal reflection imaging ellipsometry (TIRIE), regarded as an automotive real-time research approach for biomolecular interaction, is introduced to analyze the kinetic process of the weak interaction between tris and lysozyme. The experiment is performed by delivering lysozyme solution diluted to different concentrations to the biosensor substrate interface immobilized with tris. By applying pseudo-first-order interaction kinetics model, we are able to obtain the kinetic parameters from fitting experimental data. The calculated association rate constant and dissociation rate constant of tris and lysozyme interaction are in 10(-2) mol(-1) s(-1) and 10(3) s(-1) magnitude, respectively. To further improve TIRIE's ability for kinetically characterizing biomolecular interaction, a theoretical method to deduce associate rate constant before experiment is proposed. Palatabilitas Beberapa Hijauan Pakan pada Kelinci
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui palatabilitas beberapa hijauan pakan ternak yang banyak dijumpai sebagai pakan kelinci. Untuk mengetahui palatabilitas hijauan pakan pada kelinci dilakukan 2 (dua)
tahapan percobaan, yaitu (1) pilihan pakan bebas (free choice feeding) dan (2) jumlah pakan yang dimakan secara sukarela (voluntary feed intake). Hijauan pakan yang dicoba pada tahap 1 adalah rumput Cynodon spp., Calopo (Calopogonium mucunoides), Glirisidia (Glirisidia sepium), pucuk daun ubi (Manihot utilisima), dan alang-alang (Imperata cylindrica). Tahap pertama: sepuluh ekor kelinci dewasa dikandangkan secara individu. Setiap kandang disediakan 5 jenis hijauan pakan tersebut di atas dengan jumlah yang diketahu dan tersedia tidak terbatas. Setiap hari ditimbang sisa pakan sehingga diketahui jumlah yang dikonsumsi. Konsumsi pakan per hari dikonversikan bahan kering. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air minum, air bersih disediakan sepanjang waktu. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 10 hari. Tahap kedua: hijauan bahan pakan yang digunakan adalah 3 (tiga) jenis hijauan pakan yang paling disukai. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Latin Square Crossover Experiment dengan efek periode dan jumlah segi empat. Sembilan ekor kelinci dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok. Setiap ekor dalam kelompok diberi hijauan tertentu selama 1 minggu, kemudian diberi hijauan yang lain pada minggu berikutnya dan seterusnya sampai 3 minggu. dan variabel yang diamati adalah rerata jumlah bahan kering yang dikonsumsi dengan cara seperti pada tahap pertama. Percobaan tahap pertama dengan memberikan pilihan pakan secara bebas nilai rata-rata konsumsi bahan kering per hari dari 10 ekor kelinci adalah rumput cynodon 37,493 + 1,591 g, legum calopo 17,8 + 3,5 g, daun singkong 14,5 + 1,5 g, alang-alang 12,2 + 2,9 g, dan glirisidia 9,6 + 1,4 g. Tahap kedua dengan percobaan konsumsi pakan secara sukarela dari 3 hijauan
yang paling disukai pada tahap pertama menghasilkan konsumsi bahan kering rata-rata berbeda nyata antara pakan yang satu dengan yang lain. Rata-rata konsumsi bahan kering per hari masing-masing pakan adalah rumput cynodon 56,2 g, legum calopo 33,9 g, dan daun singkong 9,1 g.

Encoding a parallel corpus: The TRIS corpus experience
This paper focuses on one of the many aspects to be taken into account when developing a new corpus: its encoding. During the compilation of the corpus of Technical Regulations Information System (the TRIS corpus) several encoding issues arose. In this paper the author discusses the possibilities available with regards to encoding as well as the decisions taken and the strategies followed. The author discusses standards for character encoding and corpus markup and explains how these were integrated in the compilation of the TRIS corpus
Effect of TRIS and bicarbonate as buffers on anesthetic efficacy of tricaine methane sulfonate in zebrafish (Danio rerio)
Tricaine methane sulfonate (TMS), often called MS-222, is the most common anesthetic used with fishes. Because it is very acidic (pKa about 3) it must be neutralized especially when used in soft fresh water. Much of the literature on fish anesthetics recommends neutralizing with bicarbonate. However, much of the zebrafish literature uses the protocol in “The Zebrafish Book” that recommends neutralizing with TRIS. Three considerations when comparing these buffers are: first, TRIS has the advantage that the pH tends to remain constant, whereas the pH of solutions containing bicarbonate tends to increase as CO2 diffuses from the water to air; second, the CO2 produced by bicarbonate may have some sedative effects in and of itself; and third, there is some evidence that the efficacy of TMS changes with pH. In the present study, we compared the efficacy of TMS using these two buffers and show that there is no substantial difference in anesthetic properties in zebrafish

Tris' Effort to Prove Her Existence in Dauntless Faction in Veronica Roth's Novel Divergent
This thesis tries to analyze a science fiction novel that is written by an American Author, Veronica Roth under title Divergent. This thesis tells about the young girl who preferred move to Dauntless than stay in her old faction. Tris moves to Dauntless because, in the aptitude test, Tris get information that she is qualified to be dauntless. But Tris does not know what obstacles that she will face in Dauntless. Here, the writer wants to analyze the main character effort to prove her existence in her new faction. The purpose of this thesis is to know the ways Tris proves her existence by the council and the citizens in Dauntless as her new faction, and the second is to know changing characteristic of Tris before and after she joins Dauntless. This thesis uses the descriptive method by using Karl Jaspers’ Existentialism as the main theory and New Criticism as the supporting theory. Those theories are to help the researcher finds Tris’ existence in her new faction and how the existence affects her personality. The result of the thesis is Tris can change to be better when she can face all of her limit in her life. In the story, Tris can pass all of Dauntless challenges and obstacles that given to Tris when she is in initiation. She forces herself to face her boundary situation that can make her become an unbeatable woman in her new faction, Dauntless
