EFEK PERBEDAAN HYDRAULIC LOADING RATE (HLR) DALAM SISTEM MULTIPLE SOIL LAYERING (MSL) TERHADAP PEMURNIAN AIR IRIGASI TERPOLUSI
Air irigasi Gunuang Nago di kawasan Pasar Baru, Kelurahan Cupak
Tangah, Kecamatan Pauh IX, Padang sudah terpolusi. Pencemaran air irigasi
berasal dari aktivitas pertanian seperti penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida yang
banyak menyumbangkan sumber polutan terhadap air irigasi terutama pupuk
buatan yang mudah larut. Aktivitas rumah tangga juga berkontribusi dalam
menyumbangkan sumber polusi terhadap air irigasi melalui limbah yang
dihasilkan langsung dibuang ke saluran irigasi melalui paralon-paralon tanpa
disaring terlebih dahulu. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan suatu metoda untuk
memurnikan air irigasi terpolusi dengan menggunakan sistem Multiple Soil
Layering (MSL) yang telah diteliti mampu memurnikan limbah dengan
kemampuan penyaringan yang tinggi.
Multi Soil Layering merupakan salah satu metode yang memanfaatkan
kemampuan tanah sebagai media utama dengan mempertinggi fungsinya melalui
struktur tanah untuk membersihkan limbah cair. Metode MSL ini bertujuan untuk
mengolah limbah cair agar tidak mencemari lingkungan. Metode MSL dibentuk
dalam sebuah konstruksi pelapisan tanah dengan batuan, material organik dan
material lainnya yang disusun berselang-seling seperti susunan batu bata untuk
mengolah limbah cair dengan cara mengalirkannya ke dalam struktur lapisan
tersebut (Masunaga et al., 2007).
Sistem MSL menggunakan sumberdaya lokal yang mudah didapatkan untuk
mempertinggi fungsi dari sistem yaitu tanah Vulkanis, serbuk gergaji, arang
sekam padi, besi, ijuk dan perlit. Sistem MSL ini diaplikasikan dengan Hydraulic
Loading Rate (HLR) yang berbeda untuk melihat dari pengaruh masing-masing
sistem terhadap pemurnian air irigasi terpolusi.
Sistem MSL mampu menerima laju alir (HLR) sampai 4000 L/m2/hari dan
dapat menciptakan tanah yang subur selama proses pengolahan. Sementara itu
tanah dan batuannya dapat didaur ulang untuk tanah pertanian guna meningkatkan
kesuburan tanah setelah efisiensi penjernihan selesai (Masunaga, 2003). Selain
itu, bahan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan sistem MSL memanfaatkan
sumberdaya lokal yang tentu saja mudah didapat.
Sistem MSL dihubungkan dengan HLR yang berbeda. Perbedaan HLR ini
diharapkan mempengaruhi proses pemurnian air terhadap air irigasi terpolusi.
Hydraulic Loading Rate merupakan besarnya laju pembebanan hidrolis limbah
cair terhadap suatu bidang permukaan dalam satuan waktu tertentu. Kontak
antara air limbah dan Soil Mixture Block (SMB) merupakan faktor utama bagi
kinerja MSL dalam memurnikan air irigasi terpolusi.
Berdasarkan latar belakang dan masalah yang telah dikemukakan, maka
telah dilakukan penelitian dengan judul ” Efek Perbedaan Hydraulic Loading Rate
(HLR) Dalam Sistem Multiple Soil Layering (MSL) Terhadap Pemurnian Air
Irigasi Terpolusi”. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah 1). untuk mengetahui pengaruh
pemanfaatan Multiple Soil Layering dengan Hydraulic Loading Rate (HLR) yang
berbeda terhadap pemurnian air irigasi terpolusi dan 2). untuk mengetahui
Hydraulic Loading Rate yang tepat terhadap pemurnian air irigasi terpolusi.
Penelitian tentang efek perbedaan Hydraulic Loading Rate dalam sistem
Multiple Soil Layering terhadap pemurnian air irigasi terpolusi telah dilaksanakan
di Laboratorium Jurusan Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Andalas Padang.
Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Juli 2012 sampai Januari 2013. Pada penelitian ini
digunakan salah satu model MSL dengan ukuran SMB yang sama dari penelitian
yang telah dilakukan Chen et al., (2007) yang disusun di dalam kotak Acrylic
berukuran 50 cm x 10 cm x 60 cm (PxLxT). Namun, SMB dibuat dengan
mencampurkan tanah Vulkanis, serbuk gergaji, arang sekam padi yang telah
dihaluskan dan diayak dengan ayakan 50 mesh, paku besi dengan perbandingan
7:1:1:1. Selanjutnya, kedalam MSL dialirkan air irigasi terpolusi yang diambil di
irigasi Gunuang Nago dan kawasan Pasar Baru, Kelurahan Cupak Tangah,
Kecamatan Pauh IX, Padang secara terus menerus dengan Hidraulic Loading
Rate (HLR) yang berbeda yaitu 250, 500 dan 1000 L/m2/hari.
Dari penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa perbedaan HLR yang digunakan
berpengaruh terhadap nilai pH air. Semua variasi HLR dapat meningkatkan pH
menjadi pH 6,37-8,01. Nilai pH air tertinggi diperoleh pada HLR 250 L/m2/hari
yaitu 8,01. Nilai BOD dan COD, semakin tinggi turunnya dengan semakin rendah
HLR. Nilai penurunan BOD adalah 1,02-6,81 dan penurunan COD adalah
5,23-31,36. Nilai efisiensi sistem MSL dengan perbedaan HLR 250 L/m2/hari;
500 L/m2/hari dan 1000 L/m2/hari adalah sebesar 98,64-99,73% untuk BOD dan
97,21-99,60% untuk COD. Namun pada HLR 250 L/m2/hari diakhir pengamatan
mampu menurunkan BOD dan COD yang lebih rendah daripada HLR
500 L/m2/hari dan 1000 L/m2/hari dengan efesiensi BOD sebesar 99,43% dan
COD sebesar 99,17%.
Sedangkan pada penyisihan amonium kecepatan HLR 1000 L/m2/hari yang
paling baik. Tingginya penyisihan amonium pada HLR 1000 L/m2/hari disebakan
pada HLR ini karena laju air yang cepat membuat suasana lebih reduktif sehingga
penyisihan amonium lebih baik. Sedangkan pada HLR 250 L/m2/hari,
dikarenakan laju air lambat maka suasana masih oksidatif sehingga penyisihan
amonium juga berjalan lambat. Begitu juga pada kadar NO2
- sistem MSL dengan
HLR 500 L/m2/hari dan 1000 L/m2/hari menunjukkan tidak terukurnya parameter
nitrit.
Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan Hydraulic
Loading Rate dalam sistem Multiple Soil Layering mampu menurunkan
kandungan zat pencemar pada air irigasi terpolusi. Penurunan kadar pencemar
sudah mencapai konsentrasi di bawah baku mutu air berdasarkan PP No. 82
Tahun 2001. Sistem MSL dengan HLR 250 L/m2/hari mempunyai kemampuan
yang tinggi dalam memurnikan kadar percemar BOD dan COD pada air irigasi
terpolusi, sedangan sistem MSL dengan HLR 1000 L/m2/hari mempunyai
kemampuan yang tinggi dalam memurnikan kadar pencemar NH4
+, NO2
- dan
NO3
- pada air irigasi terpolusi.
Sistem MSL dengan HLR yang berbeda dapat digunakan untuk pemurnian
air irigasi terpolusi sebelum dibuang ke perairan luas. Jika ingin memurnikan
parameter BOD dan COD dapat digunakan HLR 250 L/m2/hari dan untuk
parameter NH4
+, NO2
- dan NO3
- dapat digunakan sistem MSL dengan HLR
1000 L/m2/hari, jadi penggunaan HLR pada sistem MSL terhadap pemurnian
limbah tergantung kepada tujuan dari parameter pencemar yang akan dimurnikan
Fenomena Berbagai Sifat Fisika dan Kimia Tanah Mendukung Ketahanan Tanaman Pangan di Sumatera Barat
The objective was to examine the phenomenon of physical and chemical properties of soil which is used as a center of agricultural cultivation in supporting food security in West Sumatra. The experiment was conducted by survey to various locations by taking composite soil samples in the field. Some types of soil taken include Histosol from Anai Padang Pariaman; Ultsiol from Lubuk Minturun; Inceptisol from Limau Manis and Siteba city of Padang; Andisol from Danau Kembar and Lembah gumanti Kab. Solok. The result was can be concluded that Ultisol Lubuk Minturun more potency for tropical fruits. Andisol in Lembah Gumanti and Danau Kembar Kab. Solok has decreased its chemical quality. It is necessary to increase soil pH to be suitable for the development of vegetable crops and food crops. The use of lime and organic matter in a proper fertilizing package can reduce the use of heavy fertilizer for vegetable crops and horticultura. Histosol utilization for wetland rice cultivation needs to be careful because the acidic pH and the number of organic acids are toxic. Inceptisol Limau Manis Padang has a neutral pH, and is very good for developing food cultivation in support of food security in West Sumatra

EFEK RESIDU BIOCHAR SEKAM DAN KOMPOS JERAMI PADI SEBAGAI BAHAN PEMBENAH TANAH PADA MUSIM TANAM KEDUA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN PADI DI ULTISOL
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek residu biochar sekam dan kompos jerami terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman padi di Ultisol pada musim tanam kedua. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Sungai Abang Kecamatan Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Penelitian disusun dalam bentuk rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu (1) 0 % Biochar sekam + 0 % Kompos jerami padi, (2) 100 % Biochar sekam + 0 % Kompos jerami padi, (3) 75 % Biochar sekam + 25 % Kompos jerami padi, (4) 50 % Biochar sekam + 50 % Kompos jerami padi dan (5) 25 % Biochar sekam + 75 % Kompos jerami padi. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian disidik ragam dengan uji F dan jika berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji DNMRT taraf nyata 5 %. Dari penelitian diperoleh bahwa adanya pengaruh dari residu biochar sekam dan kompos jerami padi terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah anakan tanaman padi. Residu terbaik dengan komposisi 75 % Biochar sekam + 25 % Kompos jerami padi karena mampu mempengaruhi nilai pH, N-total dan P-total paling tinggi serta menghasilkan tinggi tanaman dan jumlah anakan per rumpun paling baik

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study were (1) to determine the effect of rice husk biochar and rice straw compost on growth and production rice (Oryza sativa) and (2) to determine the ability of rice husk biochar and rice straw compost in providing nutrients to Ultisol. The research was carried out February – July 2018 in Sungai Abang Village, Lubuk Alung Regency, Padang Pariaman. Research applied Random Group Design with 5 treatment : 0% Rice husk biochar + 0% Rice straw compost, 100% Rice husk biochar + 0% Rice straw compost, 75% Rice husk biochar + 25% Rice straw compost, 50% Biochar rice husk + 50% Rice straw compost and 25% Rice husk biochar + 75% Rice straw compost. Observations were made on soil and crops including initial soil analyzes ie before treatment was given, soil analysis after incubation, and final soil analysis (pH, N-total, P-available, K-dd, Ca-dd, Mg-dd and Sulfur) and plant observations include plant height, the productive of tiller, total of tiller and weight of grain per hectare. From the research that has been done can be concluded (1) the use of rice husk biochar and rice straw compost affect the growth and production of rice plants seen in the treatment of 75% rice husk biochar + 25% Rice Straw rice husk biochar with the number of productive tillers of 29 tillers and production of rice plants as much as 8,238 tons / ha and (2) the use of rice husk biochar and rice straw compost is able to provide nutrients in Ultisol indicated by increasing pH, N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S
KOMODITI PANGAN (PADI, JAGUNG DAN KEDELAI) UNGGULAN DAERAH KOTA DI PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT
Food is a necessity for all residents in both rural and urban areas so that food availability must be guaranteed to meet the needs of all residents. Several government programs have been carried out to achieve food self-sufficiency, especially rice, corn and soybeans. This study aims to (1) identify the leading food commodities in the city in West Sumatra Province. (2) analyzing the specialization and localization of superior food commodities in the city in West Sumatra Province. (3) identifying priority food commodities that can be developed in urban areas in West Sumatra Province. This research was conducted in (7) seven urban areas in West Sumatra Province. This study uses secondary data which includes production, price and production value. The results of the analysis showed that (1) only rice commodities became the main commodity in all urban areas, (2) pajale commodities spread in several districts in all urban areas, (3) and only rice commodities became priority commodities in several urban areas. So that the development of food commodities in urban areas in West Sumatra Province can be prioritized on rice commodities to meet the food needs of its population

APLIKASI WEB E-COMMERCE PADA INKUBATOR BISNIS POLITEKNIK NEGERI SRIWIJAYA
Incubator Business of State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya is an institution or organization that is guides students as young entrepreneurs who produce their own products to develop the business. But, the problem is this organization still has trading activity that conventional especially in marketing. As a result of the problems it is consumers who owned this organization is very limited. Therefore, the author tries to simplify this organization in conducting its business process by building a web-based software with the concept of E-Commerce. This concept allows Business Incubator of State Polytehcnic of Sriwijaya to market their tenant's products instantly and easily. The methods used in developing this web-based e-commerce sofware are RUP (Rational Unified Process) with UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagram notation, while the development using the Java programming language and MySQL database processing. And also to collect all informations for this study, the author using data primary and secondary method. This software works by tenants can manage their own products to be displayed on web pages with the approval of the previous admin, and then the consumer can easily access the web to see the products up to calculate the total cost
Growth of Long pepper (Piper rectofractum Vahl.) with Different Growing Media Composition
Long pepper (Piper retrofractum Vahl.) It is one of the potential medicinal plants in Indonesia. However, information related to the cultivation of this plant is still minimal. Therefore, research needs regarding the determination of suitable planting media for the growth of herbal chilies. This experiment used a complete randomized group design (RKLT) with one treatment factor for the composition of the growing media, namely soil, soil + sand (3: 1, v / v), soil + rice husk charcoal (3: 1, v/v), and soil + manure (3: 1, v / v). Each treatment repeats six times, and each consisted of 10 plants. Data analysis using a variance. The plant material used was in soil tendrils and polybags measuring 30 cm x 30 cm as a container. NPK + Mg inorganic fertilizer with an equivalent dose of 12: 12: 17: 2. The results of the experiment showed that the composition of the different growing media affected all observed variables. The use of soil planting medium + cow manure showed the best growth results of chili herbs for plant height, the number of leaves, root length, root and canopy wet weight, and root and canopy dry weight
