No full textLanguage politeness is necessary in communicating with one another. By having a polite language in addition to a person's relationship can become better, one's heart also will not be hurt by listening the speech that spoken. This research aims to; 1. Know what kind of speech in conversation between student and lecturer through social media what's up? 2. Knowing the extent to which the utterance is included in positive politeness and negative politeness. The theory used in this research is the theory of politeness from Brown and Levinson. This research is descriptive qualitative. The method used is observation and using the technique of record. Sources of data in this study from social media “What's up”, the conversation taken from May to August 2017. From this study found that sometimes students are not good at placing where the utterance should be spoken with the lecturer and where speech should be spoken with friends. Besides, there is also found that sometimes there are students who seem to dictate or manage the schedule of the lecturer. This is certainly not very polite done especially when in the academic environment. Although there are also other coursework that is polite but this speech is not polite sometimes more do not know the norm. More negative politeness is found than positive politeness in this research data.

No full textPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan pendidikan kimia yang
bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kualitas perangkat
pembelajaran unsur-unsur transisi untuk SMA/MA kelas XII semester 1.
Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan prosedural. Prosedur
pengembangan terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan,
pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian. Masing-masing tahap terdiri atas
beberapa langkah penelitian. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terdiri
dari Silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), handout, lembar kerja
siswa (LKS) dan media powerpoint. Penilaian kualitas perangkat pembelajaran
dilakukan oleh reviewer yaitu 5 orang pendidik dari SMA/MA di Provinsi
Kalimantan Barat khususnya Kabupaten Landak dan Kabupaten Bengkayang.
Penilaian perangkat pembelajaran dilakukan dengan cara mengisi instrumen
penilaian.
Hasil penelitian adalah perangkat pembelajaran unsur-unsur transisi untuk
SMA/MA kelas XII semester I, dapat dikembangkan dengan model
pengembangan prosedural. Jumlah skor rata-rata kualitas keseluruhan perangkat
pembelajaran adalah 40,52 dengan presentase keidealan sebesar 82,42% sehingga
produk yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas Baik (B).

Totto Chan External Conflict in The Novel Tetsuko Kuroyanagi Totto Chan The Little Girl at The Window
Full text linkThis research is motivated by the existence of Totto-chan\u27s external conflict which is realized by the author in the work of Totto Chan the Little Girl at the Window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. The purpose of this study is to identify the external conflict experienced by Totto-chan, as well as the causes of the conflict in the novel Totto Chan the Little Girl at the Window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. In this research the researcher used Structural Analysis theory by Tzvetan Todorov. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this novel are quotes from words, sentences related to the external conflict experienced by the character Totto-Chan. Data collection techniques in this study were reading, marking data and recording data related to external conflicts in the novel Totto Chan the Little Girl at the Window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. The results of this study indicate that in the novel Totto Chan the Little Girl at the Window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, the external conflict experienced by Totto-chan is caused by Totto-chan\u27s hyperactive nature which often causes a lot of problems because Totto can\u27t stop moving, causing a lot of stress people are annoyed by it and also Totto\u27s imagination is too high which makes it difficult for Totto to understand the circumstances around her and she always does the things she likes without thinking about the consequences of her actions
Code-Mixing Analysis in Speech Act Used by Classy FM Radio Announcer
Full text linkThis study uses sociopragmatic theory, especially regarding code-mixing in speech acts at opening an event, greeting the listeners, and talking to interviewees. The purpose of writing is to determine the form of code-mixing and explain the meaning of the code-mixing used by the radio announcer, whether it is entered into locus, illocution, or perlocution. This paper is divided into three stages. The first stage is to provide data using the listening method by listening to radio broadcasts followed by the recording method. At the analysis stage, the data obtained were analyzed using related theories. At the last stage, it is making the conclusions and suggestions.
In this research, the average Classy FM radio announcers use code-mixing in their speech acts when broadcasting. Apart from being influenced by the names of the programs that is titled in English, it is also influenced by the standardization of the words used by Classy FM itself. For example, to invite the listeners to keep listening, the term”keep in tune" is used. The term of Classy FM listeners refers to the term ”Classy People," and many other terms are used. Besides, it is also found that in one speech act, there are three types of actions that are included in it, namely the act of locus, illocution, and perlocution. This paper used Qualitative method. The technique used in this research is collecting the data. The research procedure included: finding data, classification data, and analyzing the result of data. The data is analyzing by collecting, selecting, and classifying the suitable utterances with the method. From the data above, many metaphors that can be found, beside that there are so many representatives that can be found from classifying of speech act. Locution, illocution and Perlocution also variated. Only one data from all of the data that can’t be found metaphors, that is from data 1. In data 1, researcher can’t found the metaphors, the researcher only found locution, illocution, perlocution and also classifying of speech act

The purpose of this research is to identify the external conflict experienced by Kate, analyze the inner conflict experienced by the characters Anna and Kate and the causes of external conflict and inner conflict in the novel My Sister\u27s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. This method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this novel are excerpts of words, sentences related to the external conflict in Anna\u27s character and the inner conflict of Anna and Kate\u27s characters. The data collection techniques in this research were reading, marking data, recording and distinguishing the data collected based on external conflicts and inner conflicts in the novel My Sister\u27s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. The results of this research indicate that in the novel My Sister Keeper by Jodi Picoult, Anna\u27s external conflict is caused by her own family, especially her mother, the inner conflict between Anna and Kate\u27s characters, namely, Id, Ego, and Superego. Anna and the causes of internal conflicts that are felt by Anna and Kate are individual differences, differences in cultural backgrounds and differences in interests between individuals

No full textTindak tutur bisa dilakukan dimana pun, oleh siapa pun dan kapan pun. Dalam teori tindak tutur, kalimat yang diucapkan merupakan bagian dari suatu tindakan dalam kerangka institusi sosial. Masalah yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis tindakan, fungsi dan tipe yang terdapat dalam tindak tutur yang diungkapkan oleh masyarakat di Sumatera Barat pascagempa pada tanggal 30 September 2009.
Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode simak. Metode ini dilanjutkan dengan teknik simak bebas libat cakap. Penganbilan data dilakukan dengan mengambil rekaman percakapan antara penyiar radio Classy FM dengan masyarakat Sumatera Barat pascagempa 30 September 2009 silam dari radio Classy FM. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode padan dengan teknik padan pragmatik, padan referensial dan padan translasional. Metode penyajian hasil penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode informal.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam beberapa data ditemukan banyak perlokusi dibandingkan lokusi dan ilokusinya. Selanjutnya, ditemukan empat fungsi yang terdapat dalam tindak tutur yaitu representatatif, direktif, komisif dan ekspresif. Selain itu, ditemukan lima tipe yang terdapat dalam tindak tutur yaitu tindak tutur langsung, tindak tutur tidak langsung, tindak tutur langsung literal, tindak tutur tidak langsung literal dan tindak tutur tidak langsung tidak tidak literal. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa banyak penutur yang menggunakan kalimat tanya (interogatif) daripada kalimat perintah (imperatif) dan kalimat berita (deklaratif) kepada mitra tuturnya. Hal itu disebabkan karena masyarakat membutuhkan berbagai macam informasi dari radio Classy FM

This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects are MSME actors, the community as users and the general public as consumers. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and literature study. Data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that the strategy for small and medium enterprises in digitizing marketing really needs the right strategy in order to improve the welfare of the community both as MSME actors and as workers in MSME locations. apart from being the owner of MSME actors, they also play an important role in designing strategies in marketing digitalization so that they continue to survive amid the economic downturn due to the impact of the pandemic that hit.

The purpose of writing is to determine adoption, adaptation and levy from social media. Absorbed words serve to enrich vocabulary and provide more knowledge about foreign languages to Indonesian language users. Because it comes from a foreign language, of course there are some letters that are transliterated into Latin letters in accordance with the rules that apply in Indonesian. This research is descriptive qualitative research, using observation method. This research is what is often confusing when we are going to use absorbing words that are often mistaken in a writing. Persuasive Language In Skintific Advertisements On Instagram: A Semantics Analysis
Full text linkThis research is entitled "Persuasive Language in Skintific Advertisements on Instagram: A Semantic Analysis". The purpose of this research is to identify persuasive language in Skintific advertisements on Instagram posts. The category of persuasive language refers to Lamb\u27s theory (2019), using a qualitative descriptive method. The researcher collected ninety-six Skintific advertisement data from Instagram posts. The data was then analyzed by categorizing and interpreting it into the appropriate categories. The results of the research and discussion show that out from 96 Skintific advertisement data on Instagram posts, 65 data were found. These data are categorized as follows: 4 Alliteration, 9 Appeals, 2 Connotation, 18 Emotive Language, 6 Colloquial Language, 2 Hyperbole, 1 Expert Opinion, 6 Inclusive Language, 7 Imagery, 6 Jargon, 3 Rhetorical Questions and 1 Simile. The most common persuasive language used in Skintific advertisement on Instagram posts is Emotive Language, as Skintific frequently employs language that evokes an emotive response from readers or listeners. Skintific aims to show similar emotions and preferences to its consumers and boost confidence, motivating them to achieve good results
