    Limited time for the sewing process during learning is a significant obstacle, because you have to explain sewing procedures in theory and during practice. This causes students to not be able to absorb detailed and clear information on the steps for making clothing production. The aim is to 1) develop a module assisted by a job sheet and 2) a module suitable for use in learning, especially in fashion business management courses. The learning media for the module is assisted by job sheets using the research and development (R&D) method. The development model used is the Dick and Carey development model. Based on the assessment of material experts 93.9%, media experts 93%, small group student responses 68.6%, medium group 82.2% and trials in large groups 91% with the category very feasible so it can be used as learning media

    This research aims to determine the effectiveness of individual counseling using the therapeutic metaphor of poetry videos to increase the meaningfulness of life due to parental divorce in students. The specific target to be achieved in this research is to dig deeper into the workings of individual counseling services with poetry videos through appropriate individual counseling steps so that their effectiveness can be seen. To measure the increased meaning of life due to parental divorce in students, emotional stability instruments were used both before and after treatment. This research uses an experimental design with a pretest posttest group design. The instrument given to the sample was an instrument developed by the author himself. In this design there is one group selected by purposive sampling. Based on data analysis, the average pretest value was 101.25 and after being treated, the posttest value was 57.8 with a Wilcoxon signed-rank test Z value of 118.25, with a p value of 0.006, which means the p value is smaller than 0.05. So it can be concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, which means individual counseling through the therapeutic metaphor of poetry videos is effective for stabilizing emotions due to parental divorce

    DEVELOPMENT OF VIDEO TUTORIAL MEDIA ON HALF CIRCLE SKIRT MODEL

    The aim of this research is: (1) Develop a video media tutorial for a semi-circle skirt model in women's basic fashion courses in the fashion study program (2) Knowing the feasibility and effectiveness of the semi-circle skirt model video tutorial learning media in the women's basic fashion course in the fashion study program. This study uses the ADDIE development model. The results of this development research are in the form of a learning video product to make a semi-circle skirt. In this study, the feasibility test was carried out by 2 media experts and 2 material experts. The media effectiveness test was carried out in three stages, namely, a small-scale group test conducted by 8 students, a medium-scale group test conducted by 16 students and a large-scale group test conducted by 33 students. The results of the validity of the material experts obtained an average rating of 90.6% in the "very good" category. the results of the validity of media experts obtained an average rating of 94.2% in the "very good" category. small group trials by students got the "Good" category with an average of 80.7%. Medium group trials by students got the "Good" category with an average of 85%. large group trials by students got the "Good" category with an average of 87.4%. The results of the research on the development of learning media based on video tutorials on semi-circular skirts were declared feasible and effective to be used as learning media in women's basic clothing courses in the material of making semi-circular skirt

    The Obstacles in Fulfilling Social Protection for Indonesian Women Migrant Workers in Malaysia from 2016 to 2018

    According to BNP2TKI, Malaysia is the most popular destination country for Indonesian Women Migrant Workers (IWMW), as well as at the top list of IWMW complaints. One of those complaints is regarding the social protection issue. The provision of social protection for IWMW is still limited while it is part of migrant’s rights. The Malaysian government has put some regulations that command its institutions to provide the protections both to its citizens and non-citizens. This study found three big constraints of procuring social protection to IWMW in Malaysia; they were legal barriers, problems in the regulation of Indonesia, and Malaysia immigration policy. In this article, the author analyzed those constraints using feminist theory. This article found that social protection in Malaysia has not fully considered women’s perspectives and experiences while being critical. Furthermore, migration arrangements, both in Indonesia and Malaysia, are also problematic. Those three factors will be discussed in detail using a feminist perspective in looking at the whole problem and the relationship between the patriarchal system and the economy that suppress women

    Literature is an art which illuminates some aspects of human's life or behaviour. Through this art, the students try to learn ways of life and human issues such as the struggle of life, emotions, feelings and dreams. In addition, by studying literature, the students would explore the best in writing, and, in doing so, learn to think, speak and write more effectively. Being aware of those above facts, the writer is interested in studying a literary work, that is drama. Drama, one of literary genres, is a peculiar literary form which describes human characters in action. Unlike a novel, drama is not too long. So it does not take much time to read, besides the language is communicative. Studying human issues and the roles of characters in a literary work is always useful and important since it includes studying the human personalities, their thought, problems, and conflicts. In this thesis the writer studies the human issues and characters' roles in creating those issues in Arthur Miller's The Crucible, a tragic drama which deals with some of the most important human problems in our life. The interesting thing about this play is that it tells a common man's courageous, and never-ending fight against mass pressure to make him bow down in confirmity. The common man who realizes that he can not gratify his enemies by betraying his principle and at the end chooses to be executed. This study can be considered as an example of human issues study. It is expected that the student will have the ability to understand the contents of a literary work they analyze, and to develop their awareness of human characters with their problems. In analyzing this play the writer uses Carney's and Barelson's Content Analysis. The study of human issues and the roles of characters are done by examining the communication content. This communication content is represented by the characters' speeches about themselves or about other characters and above all the description about the characters given by the author. From analyzing The Crucible, the writer finds out some important human issues i.e. whitchery, resentment, adultery, authority, anger, and pity. John Proctor as a church member besides a farmer, plays important roles as the protagonist. First, he has wrong phylosophy of life that is an individual he has to work only for his own individual ends and desires only to live an uninvolved life. This phylosophy makes him be accussed of being a witch. However, at the end, when he insisted to lie, he has his own principles that is abiding need for men to adhere firmly to their principles in the face of oppression. This principle makes his life free from lies and he dies by his own honesty. This is the lesson of human life in The Crucible. The relationship of human being in the society and the community problems are crises which concern each and every human being. Knowing those human issues well one must become part of all humanity, must be committed to the complete society of mankind

    Perancangan Animasi 2D "Pangeran Lembu Peteng" Dengan Teknik Manual Drawing

    Tugas akhir ini membahas perancangan kisah Pangeran Lembu Peteng yang berasal dari Kabupaten Tulungagung ke dalam media animasi 2D. Tren animasi mulai meningkat dan berkembang pesat di Indonesia. Seiring perkembangan zaman, cerita rakyat yang mengandung falsafah kehidupan mulai ditinggalkan sehingga terjadilah kemerosotal moral. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner dengan responden 201 siswa didapatkan bahwa cerita Pangeran Lembu Peteng kurang diminati. Mereka lebih senang cerita dan budaya dari luar negeri, padahal cerita diatas mengandung nilai-nilai kehidupan yang relevan dengan masa kini. Namun, media digital yang menyampaikan cerita Pangeran Lembu Peteng secara menarik belum ada. Penulis merancang animasi ini untuk memperkenalkan budaya lokal cerita rakyat kepada remaja berusia 12-18 tahun. Penulis melakukan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode : 1. Studi literatur, 2. Metode wawancara pada budayawan Tulungagung, 3. Metode observasi lokasi dan busana di Tulungagung untuk mencari referensi visual pada perancangan, 4. Studi eksperimental mulai dari naskah cerita, desain karakter dan lingkungan hingga animatik storyboard, dan 5. Depth interview dengan ahli di bidang animasi untuk mendapatkan konsep desain animasi. Hasil kajian didapatkan desain berupa animasi pendek legenda Pangeran Lembu Peteng berdurasi 7 menit. Animasi tersebut menceritakan tentang perjalanan kehidupan Pangeran Lembu Peteng dari Majapahit ke Bonorowo Tulungagung, hingga berakhir menjadi sebuah nama sungai Lembu Peteng di Kabupaten Tulungagung. Animasi ini sarat akan pelajaran moral, menjaga perdamaian, keberanian, keuletan, belas kasih, pantang menyerah dan kasih sayang. Animasi juga mengajarkan adat berbusana dan bangunan adat Tulungagung. Teknik manual drawing digunakan untuk mendapat hasil animasi yang asli, luwes, dan lancar. =========================================================================================================== This final project discusses the design of the Prince Lembu Peteng story from Tulungagung Regency into 2D animation media. Animation trends began to increase and develop rapidly in Indonesia. Along with the times, folklore containing the philosophy of life began to be abandoned, so that moral degradation occurred. Based on the results of a questionnaire with 201 student respondents, it was found that the story of Prince Lembu Peteng was less in demand. They prefer stories and cultures from abroad, even though the stories above contain life values that are relevant to the present. However, digital media that convey the story of Prince Lembu Peteng in an interesting way do not yet exist. The author designed this animation to introduce the local culture of folklore to adolescents aged 12-18 years. The author conducted qualitative research methods: 1. Literature study, 2. Interview method with Tulungagung culture expert, 3. Location and clothing observation methods in Tulungagung to find visual references in design, 4. Experimental studies ranging from story scripts, character designs and the environment to animatic storyboard, and 5. Depth interview with experts in the field of animation to get the concept of animation design. The results of the study show that the design is a short animation of the legend of Pangeran Lembu Peteng with a duration of 7 minutes. The animation tells about the life journey of the Prince Lembu Peteng from Majapahit to Bonorowo Tulungagung, until it ends up being the name of the Lembu Peteng river in Tulungagung Regency. This animation is full of moral lessons, maintaining peace, courage, tenacity, compassion, unyielding and affection. Animation also teaches traditional dress and traditional buildings Tulungagung. Manual drawing techniques are used to get original, flexible, and smooth animation
