    The effect of the probiotic strain of Bacillus subtilis on the gastrointestinal tract of calves with diarrheal syndrome

    The development of diarrheal syndrome in calves is a serious problem and causes great economic losses for cattle breeding. There are infectious and non-infectious causes. The prevention of such conditions is based on the correct colonization of the symbiotic microflora of the gastrointestinal tract in calves during the neonatal period. Another important factor is the use of probiotic bacteria to regulate metabolism and microbiome. The purpose research was to find out determine evaluate the rate of elimination of bacteria of the genus Bacillus subtilis from the body of dairy cattle calves, as well as the effect of probiotics on diarrhea and changes in the microbiome. For this purpose, changes in the consistency and bacterial diversity of faeces were evaluated in animals before and after the use of a probiotic strain of B. subtilis bacteria. The results of the study show the restoration of gastrointestinal tract function in calves with signs of diarrhea. During the study, a change in the microbial community was observed under the influence of B. subtilis bacteria. The study showed that before the use of probiotics in crops on nutrient media, fungi of the genus Candida tropicalis were detected in calves of the experimental and control groups, however, after the use of probiotics in calves of the experimental group, these fungi were not detected already on the first day after completion course. The study supported the hypothesis that probiotic bacteria B. subtilis participate in restoring the function of the gastrointestinal tract in calves with diarrhea and affect the microbial community.     The current research of the transport situation in most European cities has shown unsustainability for the future. Due to the increasing number of residents in cities and increasing demand for e-commerce, increased the number of supply vehicles in cities, as well as pollution, congestions and car accidents. The most common solution for effective last mile delivery like vehicles using alternative fuels or electric vehicles for supplying the cities isn’t enough anymore. There is a need to focus on the total number of vehicles in cities and on sufficient use of loading space of those vehicles. An urban consolidation centre (UCC) could be a possible solution to economic, social and environmental problems in cities. This article focuses on possible using a UCC in the Czech Republic cities up to 100,000 residents. The article also provides an evaluation of the essential criteria for sustainability of UCC for the future.Současný výzkum dopravní situace ve většině evropských měst poukázal na neudržitelný vývoj v budoucnosti. Vzhledem k rostoucímu počtu obyvatel ve městech a rostoucí poptávce po elektronickém obchodování se zvýšil počet dodávkových vozidel ve městech, znečištění, dopravní koncesce a dopravní nehody. Nejběžnějším řešením pro efektivní dodávky na poslední míli, jako jsou vozidla používající alternativní paliva nebo elektrická vozidla pro zásobování měst, už nestačí. Je třeba se zaměřit na celkový počet vozidel ve městech a na dostatečné využití nákladového prostoru těchto vozidel. Centrum pro konsolidaci měst (UCC) by mohlo být možným řešením ekonomických, sociálních a environmentálních problémů ve městech. Tento článek se zaměřuje na možné využití UCC ve městech České republiky do 100 000 obyvatel. Článek také poskytuje vyhodnocení základních kritérií pro udržitelnost UCC v budoucnu

    Involvement in terrorist activities in Russia and in the world: from psychological to social-psychological factors

    Terrorism is an extremely serious problem of our time: it is a real threat to society and to the existence of humanity as a whole. The purpose of the proposed theoretical and analytical study of the problem of terrorism is to consider the psychological and social psychological factors of involvement in terrorist activities. To achieve the set goal, the authors analyse a number of foreign works and suggest a research line of this problem in order to be able to form a system for monitoring the youth environment. This determines the novelty and significance of this work. The relevance of addressing this complex interdisciplinary problem is explained by the fact that measures to counter terrorism are necessarily based on knowledge of the psychological factors that lead to radicalisation; equally, the development of preventive measures aimed at various groups of the population as well as the creation of programmes for deradicalisation are based on an understanding of the mechanisms of social behaviour. The starting point in the work is the concept of modern terrorism proposed by J. Baudrillard, because this author gives a quite accurate description of the specifics of modern (global) terrorism, which is in harmony with the results of psychological research and concepts that explain why a person takes the path of committing acts of extreme violence. The paper discusses the existence of a terrorist profile and examines the specifics of terrorist motivation. Special attention is paid to the ideas of M. Hogg, in the framework of the uncertainty - identity theory, which outlines the prospects for further development of the problem of terrorism and radicalisation

    Opportunities and Challenges of Implementing Digital Customer Service

    Lõputöö „Digitaalse klienditeeninduse võimalused ja väljakutsed“ võimalused keskendus logistikaettevõtete klienditeeninduse digitaliseerimisele, võttes arvesse nii klientide ootusi kui ka ettevõtete strateegilist valmisolekut ja väljakutseid. Töö peamine probleem seisnes selles, et ettevõtete digitaliseerimise tase ja valmisolek varieeruvad märkimisväärselt, mis mõjutab nende suutlikkust pakkuda kvaliteetset ja kaasaegset klienditeenindust. Eesmärgiks seati analüüsida digitaliseerimise võimalusi ja väljakutseid nii klientide kui ka ettevõtete perspektiivist, pakkudes praktilisi juhiseid digitaalsete lahenduste edukaks rakendamiseks. Töö põhines kahel uurimusküsimusel: 1. Millised digitaalsed klienditeeninduse lahendused on logistikaettevõtetes kõige levinumad? 2. Millised on peamised väljakutsed, millega ettevõtted ja kliendid digitaliseerimise rakendamisel silmitsi seisavad? Uurimusküsimustele vastuseid otsides, analüüsiti teoreetilises osas digitaalse klienditeeninduse definitsiooni ja selle rolli ettevõtetes, samuti generatsioonide vahelisi erinevusi digilahenduste kasutamisel. Empiirilises osas tugines autor kvalitatiivsetele ja kvantitatiivsetele andmetele, mis koguti nii klientide kui ka ettevõtete esindajate seas läbi viidud küsitluste ja intervjuude abil. Püstitatud uurimusküsimused said vastused, seega võib lõputöö eesmärki pidada saavutatuks. Uurimuse käigus avastati paar kitsaskohta. Esiteks, kvantitatiivse uuringu valim võiks olla suurem, et koguda representatiivseid andmeid kokku, ideaalis sarnast uuringut võiks jätkata ühe ettevõtte baasil, kus on teada konkreetse ettevõte taust ja vastav kliendibaas. Teise piiranguna võib pidada CRM süsteemi kliendipoolse puuduliku hinnangut, kus klientidel oli keeruline hinnata kas ettevõte, mille kogemust nad hindasid kasutab just CRM süsteemi või mingit muud digilahendust, seega jätkuuuringud võiksid leida aset CRM süsteemi kasutavas konkreetses ettevõttes ja konkreetse kliendibaasiga, kus kliendid saaksid hinnata oma kogemusi. Tulemused näitasid, et kliendid hindavad enim traditsioonilisi kanaleid, nagu telefon ja epost, kuid nooremad kasutajad eelistavad üha enam digitaliseerimise-sõbralikke lahendusi, nagu Live-chat ja Chat-bot. Tulevikku vaadetes peavad ettevõtted oma harjumuspäraseid kanaleid laiendama noortele sobivate lahenduste abil. Samal ajal seisavad ettevõtted silmitsi väljakutsetega, nagu töötajate vastuseis, tehniliste lahenduste keerukus ja ressursside piiratus. Uuring näitas, et ettevõtete digitaliseerituse tase ja lähenemisviisid varieeruvad, sõltudes nende taustast. Seetõttu on oluline arvestada iga ettevõtte unikaalseid vajadusi ja olukorda digilahenduste kavandamisel. Töö järeldused rõhutasid, et digitaliseerimine on kriitilise tähtsusega nii ettevõtete konkurentsivõime tõstmiseks kui ka klientide rahulolu suurendamiseks. Kuigi digilahendused pakuvad märkimisväärseid eeliseid, vajavad need tasakaalu inimliku ja tehnoloogilise teeninduse vahel, et tagada nii isikupära kui ka efektiivsus. Klientide perspektiivist tõid tulemused esile vajaduse kasutajasõbralike ja paindlike lahenduste järele, mis arvestavad erinevate generatsioonide ootusi. Ettevõtete vaates rõhutati vajadust strateegilise juhtimise, töötajate koolitamise ja süsteemse arendamise järele. Töö annab väärtuslikku teavet nii ettevõtetele kui ka akadeemilisele kogukonnale, pakkudes praktilisi soovitusi klienditeeninduse digitaliseerimiseks ja kliendirahulolu suurendamiseks. Autor soovib avaldada tänu juhendajale tema juhendamise ja toetuse eest, samuti küsitluses ja intervjuudes osalenud ettevõtete esindajatele ja ankeediküsimustele vastajatele, kelle panus oli töö läbiviimiseks olulineThe thesis, “Opportunities and Challenges of Implementing Digital Customer Service”, focuses on the digitalization of customer service in logistics companies, considering both customer expectations and companies’ strategic readiness and challenges. The primary problem identified was the significant variation in companies’ digitalization levels, which affects their ability to provide modern and high-quality customer service. The study aimed to analyse the opportunities and challenges of digitalization from both customer and company perspectives and provide practical guidelines for implementing digital solutions successfully. The research was guided by two main questions: 1. What are the most common digital customer service solutions used in logistics companies? 2. What are the key challenges faced by companies and customers during the implementation of digital solutions? The theoretical framework analysed the definition and role of digital customer service in companies, along with generational differences in the use of digital solutions. The empirical research combined qualitative and quantitative data collected through surveys and interviews involving both customers and company representatives. Findings revealed that customers prefer traditional channels such as telephone and email, although younger users increasingly favour mobile-friendly solutions like live-chat and chatbots. Companies face challenges such as employee resistance, technical complexities, and resource limitations. Companies A and E exhibited high levels of digitalization, offering advanced technological solutions, while Companies B and D were at the initial stages of this process. Company C focused on specific solutions but avoided broader digitalization due to resource constraints. The conclusions emphasized that digitalization is critical for enhancing companies’ competitiveness and customer satisfaction. This thesis provides valuable insights for both businesses and academia, offering practical recommendations for digitalizing customer service and improving customer satisfaction.     GENEALOGY OF HADEWIJCH'S CONCEPT OF MINNE: SECULAR AND RELIGIOUS ASPECTS

    B a c k g r o u n d . The article is devoted to the Minnemystik of Hadewijch of Brabant in the XIII century. It deals with the genesis of Hadewijch's concept of Minne in its relation to the monastic Cistercian mysticism of Bernard of Clairvaux, William of Saint-Thierry in the XII century and Beatrice of Nazareth in the XIII century. It also considers the conception of theologist and philosopher Richard of Saint-Victor in the XII century. Considering the existing advances of researchers on Hadewijch's Minnemystik, since the XX century, this investigation especially focuses on the primary role of the secular tradition of minnesingers and trobairitz of the mid-XIII century in her texts. M e t h o d s . The main method of the article is a comparative analysis. It is used to find the common meaning of Minne in two traditions: secular and religious minnesingers. The historical-philosophical approach allows us to demonstrate the conceptual link between monastic theology in the XII–XIII centuries and Hadewijch's beguinal Minnemystik. R e s u l t s . The article sheds light on Hadewijch's concept of the Minne and stresses the primary role of the secular and religious conceptions of predecessors and contemporaries in Hadewijch's Minnemystik. C o n c l u s i o n . The author underlines that Hadewijch's concept of Minne comes from the secular tradition of minnesingers and, especially, trobairitz. It also derives from the XII-century male and female mystic theology, which follows Augustine. Thus, the concept of the Minne is deeply connected with the notion of Amor and the tradition of "courtly love", and with Caritas and the tradition of "pure love".     Agricultural Trade Liberalization: Implications for Productive Factors in the U.S.

    This report presents preliminary results of impacts on factors of production in the United States, following reductions in assistance to agriculture. Analysis was conducted by modifying the production structure of the U.S. country model in SWOPSIM to explicitly include inputs employed by agriculture. The results indicate that it is important to adequately model the production technology and include inputs, otherwise simulation results may not capture the impact of liberalization on input use and may not adequately represent changes in producer income.International Relations/Trade,
