writer, poet, and playwright.
Nowadays, there is a generally accepted version of Mykhailo Staritsky’s birth date. It is
14 (2 Old Style (O.S.) December 1840. Nevertheless, this version is not confirmed by original
sources. The original sources were lost in 1943, when the state archive of the Poltava region
and its Kremenchuk branch lost all their documents including metrical books with birth record
of Mykhailo Starytsky. Because Mykhailo Starytsky was born in nobility family, we may
attract additional sources. The author verifies others documents, such as Vadim Modzalevskyj’s
«Malorossyjskyj rodoslovnyk» and finds another date. That date is 14 (2 O.S.) November 1839.
Further, the author searches original source of this information in fond «Third Department
of Senate» (Department of Geroldii) of Russian State Historical Archive, St. Petersburg. In
result, the author finds the copy of extract of birth record of Mykhailo P. Starytsky, which
confirm date 14 November 1839.
Additionally, the paper deals with finding the source of wrong date (14 December 1840).
The author traces a sequence of links to sources in publications about Staritsky and finds
the possible first article with wrong date. This article was published in 1940, but its author
Luka Sokyrko did not point the source of date. Therefore, we cannot set source of wrong date.
On completion, the article shows analyzing of information from found extract of birth

Molecular Mechanisms Modulating the TrkB Receptor
No full textThe human brain, often regarded as the most complex machine known to us, comprises roughly 100 billion neurons, each functioning as a semi-independent agent within the vast networks of the brain. These networks, through synaptic connections, enable complex information processing critical for learning, memory, and overall cognitive function. At the heart of synaptic plasticity, a fundamental mechanism for learning and memory, lies the Tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB) receptor. TrkB, activated by its ligand brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), plays a pivotal role in modulating synaptic plasticity, thereby influencing neuronal network dynamics. Disturbances in TrkB functioning are linked to various neurological and psychiatric disorders, making its study crucial for understanding and treating these conditions.
This Thesis delves into the nanoscopic workings of TrkB, employing a combination of computational simulations, modeling, and experimental biophysics. Here, we focus on the computational part of this study. The core objectives focus on understanding how TrkB is modulated by membrane cholesterol and small molecules, including antidepressants (ADs) and psychedelics, which have profound implications for synaptic plasticity and, by extension, for neurological health and disease. The key findings reveal three things: a bell-shaped dependence of TrkB activity on the membrane cholesterol level, a novel interaction between TrkB and the antidepressant fluoxetine (FLX), popularly known as Prozac, at the receptor's transmembrane domain, and the high-affinity modulation of TrkB by psychedelics, highlighting their potential as rapid-acting, neuroplasticity-inducing agents with therapeutic benefits extending beyond traditional ADs.
This research not only elucidates the molecular underpinnings of TrkB modulation but also sets the stage for the development of new therapeutic strategies targeting synaptic plasticity. By demonstrating the crucial role of TrkB in the action of ADs and psychedelics, this work paves the way for the design of novel, high-affinity drugs that selectively enhance synaptic plasticity without the undesirable effects associated with current treatments. Furthermore, it underscores the invaluable contribution of biomolecular simulations, integrated with experimental data, in unraveling complex biological phenomena at the atomic level, offering insights that are instrumental for the advancement of neuroscience and drug discovery.Ihmisen aivot ovat noin 100 miljardin hermosolun monimutkainen verkosto, jonka kyky oppimiseen, muistamiseen ja tietoisuuteen on riippuvainen synapseiksi kutsutuista yhteyksistä. Synapsien plastisuudesta vuorostaan riippuu aivojen kyky muuttua ja sopeutua. Aivojen synaptisen plastisuuden keskiössä on proteiini nimeltä Tropomyosiini-reseptorikinaasi B (TrkB), jonka toimintaa säätelee aivojen hermokasvutekijä (BDNF). Aktivoituessaan TrkB lisää aivojen plastisuutta. Häiriöt TrkB:n toiminnassa liittyvät erilaisiin aivosairauksiin, joten sen tutkiminen on elintärkeää uusien hoitojen kehittämiseksi.
Tämä tutkimus syventyy TrkB:n toimintamekanismin yksityiskohtiin yhdistämällä tietokonesimulaatioita ja laboratoriokokeita. Erityisesti keskitymme TrkB:n vuorovaikutukseen aivojen solukalvoissa olevan kolesterolin sekä tiettyjen masennuslääkkeiden ja psykedeelien kanssa. Tuloksemme paljastavat, että TrkB:n aktiivisuus on tiiviisti sidoksissa kolesterolin määrään solukalvossa, noudattaen kellokäyrää: liikaa ja liian vähän kolesterolia vähentää TrkB:n aktiivisuutta. Lisäksi havaitsimme, että TrkB vuorovaikuttaa suoraan masennuslääke Prozacin kanssa ja että psykedeeleillä on voimakas kyky lisätä TrkB:n aktiivisuutta, mikä tarjoaa mahdollisuuden kehittää uusia, nopeampia tapoja hoitaa neurologisia sairauksia.
Nämä havainnot luovat perustan uusien lääkkeiden kehitykselle, joiden vaikutus voidaan paremmin kohdistaa aivojen plastisuuteen, mahdollisesti parantaen erilaisten mielenterveyshäiriöiden hoitovaihtoehtoja ilman tällä hetkellä tarjolla olevien lääkkeiden sivuvaikutuksia. (The author discusses the problems of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi’s philosophy of culture. The article analyses the integrity of scholar’s looks as a single philosophical concept. It is established in the article that the scholar’s motif of culture was related to the history of the Ukrainian culture; therefore, the formulation of the term “culture” is not possible without the Ukrainian context. The author of the article analyses the ideological basis for opinions and key components of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi’s philosophy of culture, namely the idea of heroic beginning, the idea of the European culture, the idea of national determination and others.

The research of this considerable layer of the Ukrainian musical art by Mykhailo Hrushevskyi has found its reflection in the work History of the Ukrainian literature. On the pages of this work, Mykhailo Hrushevskyi analyses the repertoire, manners of performance and separate features of this type of musical art. The activity and the heritage of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi, which were generally focused on the research and promotion of the Ukrainian history and culture in various aspects, were closely connected with kobzarstvo as the art phenomenon.
