An Interdisciplinary Review of Smart Vehicular Traffic and Its Applications and Challenges
Sensors and intelligent applications enabling smart vehicular traffic create an opportunity for improving the welfare of people, from the viewpoints of efficiency, sustainability, and social inclusivity. Like the opportunities, challenges of such an endeavour are multifaceted, including the scalable collection and processing of the hefty data volumes generated by sensors, and the coordinated operation between selfish agents. The purpose of this work is to survey recent literature with an emphasis on applications and a multidisciplinary eye, with the aim of stimulating discussion and reflection in the scientific communities. The principal application areas of smart traffic and smart mobility are discussed, synthesizing different perspectives. Many intriguing areas for future research exist besides those relative to connectivity, data fusion, and privacy. Some research challenges pertinent to sustainability, insurance, simulation and the handling of ambiguous information are highlighted

“Durante” in the Fiore: allusion to the author or only a character’s name? · In this article, it is observed that the author of the Fiore eliminates all the elements that allowed a clear identification of the names of the authors in the Roman de la Rose. It seems then more likely that the name “Durante” refers exclusively to the protagonist and narrator, and not to the author of the 232 sonnets

Hta e decision making: proposte e risultati dell’Health policy forum
The aim of this paper is to identify the main aspects which should be considered in the priority setting process of Health technology assessment (Hta). Several approaches have been adopted at national and regional level both in Italy and in other countries in order to individuate health technologies to be primarily assessed. Priority setting criteria, together with the type of stakeholder involvement and the essential requirements for a good prioritization were identified during the second edition of the Health policy forum, an initiative promoted by the Italian society of health technology assessment (Sihta) in partnership with other scientific societies. Manufacturers, regulators, institutions and citizens freely discussed on these issues in plenary sessions and subgroups.
The emerging contribution is aimed at defining a list of priority criteria, type and weight of stakeholders involved and several requirements which make a shared and more transparent and accountable process, as well as ensure the impact of Hta in decision making
