Commune Irmã Alberta: Agroecology and resistance in the countryside of São Paulo (2002 – 2023)
No full textO presente trabalho se atenta à experiência histórica do tempo presente da Comuna da Terra Irmã Alberta, acampamento do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST), localizada no distrito de Perus, na cidade de São Paulo, e a trajetória de duas de suas lideranças: são Maria Alves, uma de seus principais quadros e veterana da luta pela comuna, e Rosangela Santos, outra veterana na luta para o estabelecimento da comuna. Os principais objetivos são de investigar e compreender as ações e aspirações dos atores políticos e os desafios enfrentados para conquistar reforma agrária no contexto atual no estado de São Paulo. O Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso é baseado nas entrevistas realizadas com as duas mulheres, artigos do jornal Brasil de Fato, e estudos especializados sobre a luta pela terra. A proposta da criação de Comunas da Terra contemplava o enfrentamento do problema da fome nas periferias das grandes cidades e na proteção de mananciais e áreas verdes dentro dos limites de tais cidades, com ênfase nas megalópoles de São Paulo. Benefícios colaterais incluíram a possiblidade de proporcionar melhores na qualidade de vida das famílias assentadas e da vizinhança através da produção agroecológica e venda de alimentos saudáveis, contestando o modo de produção agroindustrial. As ações realizadas pela Comuna da Terra Irmã Alberta demonstram que mesmo com as adversidades e impasses para a obtenção da posse da terra, a organização dos trabalhadores é capaz de recuperar uma área improdutiva e irregular, realizando produções imensas com avançadas técnicas de cultivo agroecológico e de reflorestamento agroflorestal.This work focuses on the historical experience of the present time of the Comuna da Terra Irmã Alberta, a camp of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST), located in the district of Perus, in the city of São Paulo, and the trajectory of some of its leaders, such as Maria Alves, one of its main staff and a veteran of the struggle for land, and Rosangela Santos, another veteran in the struggle for the establishment of the commune. The main objectives are to investigate and understand the actions and aspirations of political actors and the challenges faced to carry out this project in the context of the struggle for agrarian reform in the state of São Paulo. The story is based on interviews carried out with Maria Alves and Rosangela Santos, articles from the newspaper Brasil de Fato, and specialized studies of the camp. The comuna proposal aims to contribute to tackling the problem of hunger on the outskirts of large cities and protecting water sources and green areas within the limits of the city of São Paulo while providing quality of life for dispossessed families, producing healthy food, contesting the capitalist mode of production and agribusiness. The actions carried out by the Comuna da Terra Irmã Alberta demonstrate that even with the adversities and impasses in obtaining land ownership, the workers' organization is capable o recovering an unproductive and irregular area by producing immense productions with advanced agroecological cultivation and reforestation techniques of agroforestry.Não recebi financiament

Através da análise de "falas de si" de escritores e de aspirantes a escritor, busca debater a constituição do sujeito escritor: aquele sujeito que se constitui a partir de sua própria escrita, assumindo (ou não) diferentes posições em relação às instituições de escrita. Esta possível constituição do sujeito escritor é analisada através de passagens efetuadas por escritores no decorrer de suas experiências com a escrita: o escritor iniciante (passando de não-escritor a escritor), o escritor em consagração (passando de escritor a autor) e o escritor ao final de sua escrita, que desiste de escrever (passando de escritor/autor a não-escritor). Através de depoimentos autobiográficos, o escritor vai além de suas ficções narradas, e testemunha seu aparecimento enquanto sujeito escritor, sempre em constante mudança, transformação e criação de si mesmo. Num movimento de subjetivação de si, como formula Marguerite Duras, escreve para saber o que escreveria se escrevesse. Com isso, torna-se outro a partir daquilo que escreve, pela crença num sujeito escritor que transforma sua própria vida em existência estética, em um modo de vida.This dissertation brings up questions about the experience of writing, beyond the institutional character of authorship provided by the Author Function. By analyzing #speeches of the self# by writers and aspiring writers, it proposes a debate on the constitution of the writing subject: a subject that constitutes itself from its own writing, taking on (or not) different positions regarding writing institutions. The study of this possible constitution of the writing subject focuses on three changes made by writers during their writing experiences, corresponding to: (1) the beginner (changing from non-writer to writer), (2) the writer to be acclaimed (changing from writer to author), and (3) the writer at the end of his/her writing activity, the one who gives up writing (changing from writer/author to non-writer). Through autobiographical texts, a writer goes beyond his/her narrated fictions, and testifies his/her appearance as a writing subject, in permanent change, always transforming and creating him/herself. In a movement of subjectivation of the self, he/she writes in order to know what he/she would write if he/she wrote (as Marguerite Duras would say). Thus, the writer becomes another one by writing what he/she writes, by the faith in a writing subject the transforms his/her own life in an aesthetic existence, in a way of life
Das memórias às veredas: Revista USP - letras, cenas e sons

Programa de Pós-graduação em LiteraturaEsta tese tenta configurar o espaço ocupado pela literatura na Revista USP, partindo da reflexão que ali se realiza sobre a arte produzida nos anos 80 e 90. As criações recentes da música popular, do teatro e do cinema são submetidas a um balanço enquanto a literatura não recebe o mesmo tipo de abordagem crítica. Investigar as motivações e desdobramentos de tal postura por parte da revista é a principal proposição desta pesquisa, que busca desenvolver a seguinte hipótese: um vasto conjunto de ensaios publicados na Revista USP compõe um mosaico, no qual a reflexão acerca da literatura brasileira se configura através da constituição de um eixo monumental, formado por Memórias póstumas de Brás Cubas, de Machado de Assis e Grande sertão: veredas, de João Guimarães Rosa. Estas duas obras sustentam e demarcam os limites do cânone proposto pela revista, que posiciona a obra de Guimarães Rosa como última baliza do ciclo criativo da literatura brasileira. Entretanto, é possível perceber algumas sombras que conturbam o desenho nítido do referido eixo. A primeira delas é Grande sertão: veredas enquanto texto neobarroco e a segunda é uma antologia de poesia brasileira publicada na revista Universidad de México. This thesis tries to configure the space occupied by literature in Revista USP magazine, starting from the reflection about the art produced in the 80's and 90's. The popular music, the theater and the movies are submitted to an evaluation of their recent creations while the literature does not receive the same kind of critical approach. Investigating motivations and consequences of this attitude is the main proposition of this research, which intends to develop the following hypothesis: a great amount of texts published in Revista USP composes a mosaic, in which the reflection about Brazilian literature configures itself through the constitution of a monumental axle, formed by Memórias póstumas de Brás Cubas, written by Machado de Assis and Grande sertão: veredas, by João Guimarães Rosa. These books mark and support the limits of the canon proposed by the magazine, which considers Guimarães Rosa's narrative as the last sign of creativity in Brazilian literature. Although, it's possible to perceive some shadows that disturb the clearness of this axle. The first one is Grande sertão: veredas seen as a "neobarroco" text, and the second is an anthology of Brazilian poetry published at Universidad de México magazine

No full textEste estudo teve como objetivo analisar a importância do projeto de leitura e os recursos diversificados que motivam o aluno dentro do processo de leitura e escrita, com o propósito de incentivar os estudantes ao hábito pela leitura de forma prazerosa e participativa. Objetivou ainda, descrever as atividades motivadoras de incentivo à leitura realizada em uma Escola Municipal, através de um Projeto de Leitura. Ressalta-se ainda, a importância de motivar o alunado utilizando-se os recursos possíveis de forma a fazê-lo avançar e a participar do processo ensino-aprendizagem, eliminando a mesmice, o desânimo e a evasão escolar, dando lugar ao desafio, ao afeto, a realização e a esperança. Com a realização desse projeto na referida escola, as apresentações desenvolvidas trouxeram grandes benefícios para o desenvolvimento dos alunos, especialmente para os que se envolveram intensamente, deixando-os mais disciplinados e responsáveis, além de desenvolverem habilidades como: a oralidade, a leitura, a interpretação e a escrita, bem como as produções textuais ficaram mais elaboradas e criativas. O projeto seria concluído com a inauguração da biblioteca da escola, porém isso não foi possível pelo fato de que certas medidas dependiam de outras pessoas, sendo a inauguração adiada para o ano seguinte. Sendo assim, a apresentação final do projeto contou com a apresentação de uma peça teatral e a produção de um livro incluindo os melhores textos produzidos pelos alunos durante todo o ano. Ao final deste trabalho, constatou-se que apesar de todas as dificuldades enfrentadas, por se tratar de uma escola pública e de poucos recursos, os resultados das atividades desenvolvidas junto aos alunos foram positivos

No full textThe importance of promoting innovation has been elevated up to a status of official standard since the Lisbon European Summit in 2000. Here research and development (R&D) was singled out as an essential element of the foundation on which innovation could be built. R&D has been a growing area of investigation namely at level of firms micro studies aimed at uncovering firms’ innovation capability. At the macro level, the relevance of R&D for countries’ innovation capability has been, in a dynamic perspective, more often presumed rather than effectively tested. This latter limitation is, to a large extent, explained by the paucity of aggregated continuous time series on innovation indicators specifically those based on R&D expenditures. This paper aims at filling this gap by providing an estimate of the Portuguese innovation capability over the two last four decades based on the accumulated R&D efforts. Such indicator, albeit preliminary, will desirably endorse new investigation on the Portuguese catching-up process and, in this way, might inform present and future public programs related to R&D policies in particular and innovation policies in general.Innovation; R&D expenditures; measurement, economic growth
Microsatellite Markers For The Cabreúva Tree, Myroxylon Peruiferum (fabaceae), An Endangered Medicinal Species From The Brazilian Atlantic Forest
No full textThe Cabreúva tree, Myroxylon peruiferum, is an endangered tropical species from Brazil used in forest restoration projects. It is known for its medicinal properties. Eleven microsatellite markers were developed for this species, from a microsatellite-enriched library. Nine of these markers, characterized in 30 individuals from a semideciduous forest remnant population in southeast Brazil, were polymorphic, with allele numbers ranging from 2 to 8 per locus; expected and observed heterozygosities ranged from 0.103 to 0.757 and 0.107 to 0.704, respectively. One locus (Mpe-C04) showed significant deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, probably due to null alleles. Two other loci (Mpe-E09 and Mpe-H07) were monomorphic in this population.
