The study encompasses the assessment of the effectiveness of the digital library and the value of multidisciplinary databases in terms of user preferences and use frequency by academic ranking.
Methodology
This paper compares the results of two survey questionnaires carried out in 2002 and 2005. To examine the level of awareness by academic staff of digital library resources along with their use rate and to evaluate the preferences of faculty for specific electronic databases case studies were undertaken by means of separate questionnaires in both years.
Findings
Findings were consistent that positive results have been observed in two studies conducted in two years, 2002 and 2005. According to the results of current survey, the increase numbers of the faculty members of Ankara University know about the existence of the digital library after the informative activities on databases from. Another result of the survey is that many of the faculty members, although not all of them use electronic databases. The most preferred databases have been Web of Science, Science Direct and Ebsco. When use of the electronic databases is analyzed, in respect of faculty rank and level of awareness, associate and assistant professors, assistants place at first ranges.
Originality/value
The study presents the first case study in the field in Turkey that compares the current situation of the digital library usage with the initial survey data

No full textÖZET “Ramón José sender’in mıknatıs adlı eserinde sosyal adalet kavramı” başlıklı yüksek lisans tezinde yazarın eseri sosyal adalet yönüyle ele alınmıştır. Eserde anlatılan ve başkahraman Viance´nin başından geçen olaylar XX. yüzyılın ilk yarısında meydana gelmektedir. Bu nedenle roman bu dönemin toplumsal özelliklerini yansıtır ve İspanyol toplumunu bütün yönleriyle okuyucuya aktarır. Toplumsal yönünün yanı sıra yazarın eserinde yer verdiği diğer bir nokta ise 1921 yılında meydana gelen Annual Savaşı’dır. Bu savaş tüm yönleriyle ele alınmıştır. Tezde orduda bu dönemde oluşan toplumsal sınıf farklılıklarına vurgu yapılmış ve adalet konusu irdelenmiştir. Sosyal adalet kavramı incelenmiştir. Kral XIII. Alfonso 1931 yılında seçimi Cumhuriyetçilerin kazanmasından sonra İspanya’yı terketmiştir. Bu tarihten sonra ülkenin durumu iyice çıkmaz sokağa girmiş ve iç savaşa sürüklenmiştir. Bu nedenle eserde anlatılan tarih olan Annual Felaketi’nin yaşandığı 1921 yılı İspanya tarihinde dönüm noktalarından birisidir. SUMMARY This study analyzes “The concept of social justice in the Ramón José sender’s novel “magnet” is analyzed from it’s social justice perspective. The events of the book take place at the beginning of the XX. century. Therefore the book reflects the social characteristics of that time and narrates all the aspects of Spanish society to the reader. Besides of social aspect, another point given by the author in his book is Annual War which took place in 1921. This war is analysed with all the aspects. In the thesis, it is emphasized the social class differences in the army at that time and the topic of justice is analysed. Also, the Social Justice concept is examined. King Alfonso XIII. left the country after the republicans won the election in 1931. As of this date, the situation of the country got worse and a civil war broke out. Therefore the year 1921, when the Annual Disaster occured, is one of the turning points in the Spanish history
The withdrawal right of the owner in intellectual rights
No full textCayma hakkı, eser sahibinin mali haklarını veya ruhsatını devrettiği kişinin belirlenen süre içerisinde hiç veya gereği gibi bu hakkı kullanmaması sonucunda eser sahibine tek taraflı olarak sözleşmeyi sona erdirme hakkı sağlayan bir haktır. Eser sahibine tanınan cayma hakkı ile devredilen mali hak veya ruhsatların, tek taraflı irade beyanıyla eser sahibine geri dönmesi sağlanmıştır. Buna göre, madde ile belirtilen esasa ve usule ilişkin koşulların sağlanması ile cayma hakkı ileri sürülerek sözleşme ilişkisine son verilir. Cayma hakkını düzenleyen FSEK md. 58, Alman Fikri Haklar Kanunu'nu md. 41 ile "Yerine getirmeme dolayısıyla cayma hakkı" hükmünden esinlenilerek düzenlenmiştir. Ancak Alman Fikri Haklar Kanunu'nda yer alan özel bir cayma sebebi olan ve md. 42' de düzenlenen "kanaat değişmesi" sebebiyle cayma hakkına FSEK kapsamında yer verilmemiştir. Çalışmamızda Türk Hukuku kapsamında kabul edilen kullanmamaya dayalı cayma hakkı üzerine bir inceleme yapılmıştır. Ayrıca cayma hakkının amaç ve kapsamı, cayma hakkını kullanmaya yetkili eser sahibi ve eser sahibinin hakları ile komşu haklar üzerinde cayma üzerine değinilmiştir. Yine caymanın esasa ve usule ilişkin koşulları, cayma hakkının hüküm ve sonuçları ile diğer özel hukuk alanlarında düzenlenen cayma kavramlarından farklılıkları ele alınmıştır. Son bölümde ise eser sahibinin cayma hakkını kullanmasının mali hak veya ruhsatı devralanın üzerindeki etkisine yönelik bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Devralanın caymaya itiraz davası, cayma sebebiyle tazminat hakkı üzerinde incelemeler yapılmış ve güncel sorunlar üzerinden cayma hakkının kullanılmasının meydana getirdiği sorunlar ve devralan bakımından sonuçları üzerine fikirler sunulmuş olup model önerisi geliştirilmiştir.The right of withdrawal is a right that provides to terminate the contract unilaterally; as a result of the person, whom the owner of the work transferred his financial rights or license, does not use this right properly within the specified period. It has been ensured that, the financial rights or licenses are returned to the owner with unilateral declaration of will, with the withdrawal right granted to the owner. According to this statement, the contractual relation is terminated by asserting the right of withdrawal once the specified basis and procedural conditions in articles are satisfied. FSEK as article 58, which regulates the right of withdrawal, is inspired by the article 41 of the German Intellectual Property Law and the provision "Right of withdrawal due to non- fulfillment." However, the right of withdrawal, which is a special reason for withdrawal in the German Intellectual Property Law and regulated in Article 42, is not included in the scope of FSEK. In this study, an examination has been made on the right of withdrawal based on non-use, which is accepted within the scope of Turkish Law. In addition, the purpose and scope of the right of withdrawal, the rights of the author authorized to use the right of withdrawal and the rights of the author, and the withdrawal on neighbouring rights are mentioned. Again, the procedure and principle conditions of withdrawal, the terms and consequences of the right of withdrawal and their differences from the concepts of withdrawal regulated in other private law fields are discussed. In the last part, a study has been made on the effect of the author's use of the right of withdrawal on the economic rights or the licensee. Investigations and proposal of model were made on the transferee's objection to the withdrawal case, the right to compensation due to withdrawal, and ideas were presented on the problems caused by the use of the right of withdrawal and its consequences for the transferee over current problems
Molecular Communications and Nanonetworks: From Nature To Practical Systems

The publication addresses why nanoscale communication is needed for the sophisticated nano and biotechnology applications. The text introduces the frontier applications of the molecular communication and nanonetworks. The book examines the molecular communication types called active, passive, and gap junction molecular communications. The author presents the molecular transmitter, receiver, encoding and decoding mechanisms used in these systems. Discussing the molecular communication system model and looking at the unique characteristics of practical molecular communication systems and these chemical reactions and their effects on the communication performance. Finally, the book examines the point-to-point, broadcast, and multiple-access molecular channel and shows two promising application examples of the nanonetworks. The first application example is the body area nanonetworks used in nanomedicine. the second nanonetwork application example, i.e., NanoSensor Networks (NSNs) with Molecular Communication. © Springer Science+Business Media New York 2014

In -broadening, a single value of seems to fit most of the lines well. In -broadening, 0.14 (150/T) when K-0, and 0.168 (150/T) when , have yielded excellent comparison between theoretical and experimental transmittance data
Food Experience Design to Prevent Unintended Consequences and Improve Well-being
No full textCopyright © The Author(s) 2021. This article introduces a novel and comprehensive conceptual framework for designing innovative food experiences that enhance food well-being. We call this framework the novel food experience design. It supports managers in cocreating customer-centric food experiences to limit unintended detrimental consequences and enhance individual and societal food well-being. The novel food experience design (1) employs a systemic (vs. endemic) approach to the innovation process and (2) promotes prioritizing ethical decision-making alongside economic decision-making. Building on insights derived from ecosystem theory and the ethical principles literature, we develop four fundamental propositions to innovate food experiences: do no harm, do good, ensure autonomy, and ensure fairness. Our framework promotes higher levels of individual and societal food well-being than restricted food design innovations, preventing unintended consequences. Finally, we illuminate the implications for service research and practice
