Effects of different essential oils on HaCat keratinocytes against hydrogen peroxide induced oxidative stress
The effect of different concentrations of common juniper, oregano, laurel, lavander, sage and myrtie essential oils on human skin cell HaCat in vitro was explored. This study has demonstrated that all essential oils were cytotoxic to human keratinocytes in vitro at a concentration of 1% (v/v). At a concentration of 0.1%, all essential oils, with the exception of Laurus nobilis L., were still irritating. At lower concentrations all essential oils showed no toxicity and no protective effect on HaCat human keratinocytes from oxidative stress induced by exposure to hydrogen peroxide
Antibacterial, antioxidant activity and chemical composition of some medicinal plants from Albania.
The antibacterial activity of six Albanian plants were studied. Essential oils of: Juniperus communis, Laurus nobilis, Lavandula angustifolia, Myrtus communis, Origanum vulgare and Salvia officinalis were tested in-vitro against three selected Gram negative and Gram positive microorganisms: Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 9027 and Escherichia coli ATCC 8739, by the agar diffusion method.
The essential oil of oregano demonstrated the highest antibacterial activity, against Staphylococcus aureus, followed by Lavandula angustifolia and Juniperus communis essential oils. Essential oil of oregano demonstrated the highest antimicrobial activity, against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. P.aeruginosa was resistant against all investigated essential oils except Origanum vulgare. The essential oil of oregano demonstrated the highest antimicrobial activity, against Escherichia coli, followed by Salvia officinalis.
The essential oils of Origanum vulgare, from three different locations in Albania, were chemically characterized by GC/FID. Carvacrol was the main component. The second major constituent was thymol and the third one was p-cymene. The other main constituents were caryophyllene, limonene and γ-terpinene.
A rapid evaluation for antioxidants of Origanum vulgare essential oil, using TLC screening methods, showed that carvacrol and thymol and other component have interesting radical scavenging property

This research is quanititive research. The method used in this study is the survey method. Data collection is used using questionnaires, observation sheets, interviews and documentation. The sample in this study was 96 students, which was taken randomly from 45% of grade XI students of MIPA SMAN 1 Mandau. Based on the results of the study can be seen the effectiveness of the utilization of e-learning in biological learning in grade XI MIPA in SMAN 1 Mandau on questionnaire indicators are in the good category with a percentage of 77.1% obtained from the average results of the questionnaire. For the indicator of implementation of RPP is in the percentage of 74% and is in the good category, on the activity indicator with a percentage of 80,97% is in good category and on the indicator of student learning outcomes are in the good category with a percentage of 76.69%. It can be concluded that the effectiveness of e-learning utilization in biology learning class XI MIPA at SMAN 1 Mandau School Year 2020/2021 is in the good category
Akamaro k’Indirimbo mu Gutoza Kuvuga Neza no Kunguka Amuga mu Rubumbambaga Nyarwanda: Urungano n’Igipimo cy’Urukundo za Rugamba Cyprien
“Akamaro k’indirimbo mu gutoza kuvuga neza no kunguka amagambo mu rubumbabaga nyarwanda: Urungano n’igipimo cy’urukundo za Rugamba Cyprien” (The Impact of Songs in Teaching the Art of Speaking Well and Acquiring Vocabulary in Rwandan Society: Urungano and igipimo cy’urukundo by Rugamba Cyprien) is a study guided by the general objective of evaluating the contribution of songs in teaching effective public speaking and enriching vocabulary within the Rwandan community. To achieve the set objectives, we selected two literary works by Rugamba Cyprien: Urungano and igipimo cy’urukundo. The methodology used to analyze these works was based on a literary criticism approach known as ijoranyandiko. Following the selection of the case studies, we applied different methods—namely umunozo, ikeshamvugo, isesengurangingo, and isesengurantego—to support our literary analysis and help us reach our goals. Through the analysis, we found that these songs promote values such as love, peace, and harmonious living within Rwandan society. The results of our study confirmed that the objectives were successfully met. Indeed, Rugamba Cyprien significantly contributed to fostering a culture of love, peace, and tolerance among Rwandans. This is clearly reflected in both songs, where the author emphasizes that love is fundamental to human relationships. One of the recommendations drawn from our findings is that students should form clubs dedicated to promoting Cyprien Rugamba’s literary works within Rwandan society
A Cholinergic Synaptically Triggered Event Participates in the Generation of Persistent Activity Necessary for Eye Fixation
An exciting topic regarding integrative properties of the nervous system is how transient motor commands or brief sensory stimuli are able to evoke persistent neuronal changes, mainly as a sustained, tonic action potential firing. A persisting firing seems to be necessary for postural maintenance after a previous movement. We have studied in vitro and in vivo the generation of the persistent neuronal activity responsible for eye fixation after spontaneous eye movements. Rat sagittal brainstem slices were used for the intracellular recording of prepositus hypoglossi (PH) neurons and their synaptic activation from nearby paramedian pontine reticular formation (PPRF) neurons. Single electrical pulses applied to the PPRF showed a monosynaptic glutamatergic projection on PH neurons, acting on AMPA-kainate receptors. Train stimulation of the PPRF area evoked a sustained depolarization of PH neurons exceeding (by hundreds of milliseconds) stimulus duration. Both duration and amplitude of this sustained depolarization were linearly related to train frequency. The train-evoked sustained depolarization was the result of interaction between glutamatergic excitatory burst neurons and cholinergic mesopontine reticular fibers projecting onto PH neurons, because it was prevented by slice superfusion with cholinergic antagonists and mimicked by cholinergic agonists. As expected, microinjections of cholinergic antagonists in the PH nucleus of alert behaving cats evoked a gaze-holding deficit consisting of a re-centering drift of the eye after each saccade. These findings suggest that a slow, cholinergic, synaptically triggered event participates in the generation of persistent activity characteristic of PH neurons carrying eye position signals

Analisis Putusan Pengadilan Agama Jambi Tentang Perbuatan Malawan Hukum (PMH) dalam Akad Pembiayaan Murabahah (No.700/Pdt.G/2020/PA.Jmb)
This study aims to analyze the settlement of the case of Unlawful Acts (PMH) in the Murabahah Financing contract contained in Decision Number 700/Pdt.G/2020/PA.Jmb. This research answers three questions. First, how is the dispute resolution in case Number 700/Pdt.G/2020/PA.Jmb regarding unlawful acts (PMH) in the murabahah financing contract. Second, what are the basic considerations of the judge in Court Decision Number 700/Pdt.G/2020/PA.Jmb seen from civil law and sharia economic law. Third, what are the legal consequences of the Jambi Religious Court Decision Number 700/Pdt.G/2020/ PA.Jmb. This research is library research and is a qualitative analysis using the deductive method, the author tries to provide an overview of the case that occurred in decision Number 700/Pdt.G/2020/PA.Jmb. then analyzed to draw conclusions. This study found that the case in the decision was resolved through the ligitation route where the settlement through this ligitation route was carried out at the Jambi Religious Court and in this case the settlement was in accordance with the provisions of absolute competence and the provisions of relative competence regulated in article 141 paragraph (4) RBG, the legal basis used in the settlement of this case is Law Number 7 of 1989 which has been updated with Law Number 50 of 2009, Law Number 21 of 2008, Civil Code, RBG, HIR, and KHES. As for the legal consequences in decision Number 700/Pdt.G/2020/PA.Jmb. namely the Plaintiff is obliged to pay court costs and the Defendant is not charged with legal obligations

Euphoria politik menjelang pemilihan umum Presiden 2014 sangat
terasa. Hanya ada dua pasang calon Presiden dan Wakil Presiden. Pasangan
Jokowi-JK yang diusung oleh PDI-P, Partai NasDem, Partai Hanura, PKB, dan
PKPI, sedang pasangan Prabowo-Hatta diusung oleh Partai Gerindra, Partai
Golkar, PKS, PAN, PBB, dan PPP. Di Negara demokarasi Partai Politik
menjalankan fungsinya yaitu fungsi komunikasi politik, fungsi sosialisasi politik,
dan fungsi rekrutmen politik. Fungsi komunikasi politik adalah fungsi penting
dalam Partai Politik. Partai NasDem dalam menyampaikan pesan komunikasi
politiknya tidak hanya menggunakan media konvensional, di era digital sekarang
ini, Partai NasDem juga menggunakan media jejaring sosial yaitu Facebook. Di
Indonesia, pengguna Facebook setiap tahunnya bertambah. Populasi masyarakat
pengguna Facebook terbesar adalah usia 18-24 tahun yang merupakan kategori
pemilih pemula. Pemilih pemula pada pemilihan umum 2014 mengambil porsi
yang cukup besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran Facebook
Partai NasDem dalam komunikasi politik Partai NasDem pada pemilih pemula
tentang calon Presiden yang diusung pada pemilihan umum Presiden 2014. Jenis
penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teori
yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori kegunaan dan gratifikasi. Subjek

ZEZINHO: REABILITAR É CUIDAR – UM RELATO SOBRE AMOR E NATUREZA
O presente relato de experiência tem como objetivo descrever o processo de reabilitação de um filhote de anu preto (Crotophaga ani), denominado “Zezinho”, encontrado debilitado após queda em ambiente residencial. O manejo foi realizado pela autora, acadêmica de Medicina Veterinária, com apoio e orientações do Núcleo de Estudos em Zoologia Amazônica (NEZA), sob acompanhamento do biólogo Ricardo Damasceno Filho, do brigadista florestal Elder Stéfanno e da médica veterinária de silvestres e exóticos Maria Chaves. Durante a reabilitação, foram fornecidos cuidados nutricionais balanceados, hidratação adequada, adaptação do ambiente, estímulos comportamentais e administração correta de medicações. O animal apresentou evolução favorável, recuperando gradualmente a força, o equilíbrio e a capacidade de voo, alcançando plena reabilitação. Este caso reforça a importância da ética, empatia e dedicação no manejo de animais silvestres, destacando a relevância do conhecimento científico aliado à prática responsável. O estudo também evidencia o papel de iniciativas acadêmicas na conservação da fauna amazônica e na valorização da relação entre ciência, cuidado e natureza
An?lise da biocompatibilidade, citotoxicidade e osteocondu??o do policaprolactona : estudo em ratos

Previous issue date: 2014-03-27Bioresorbable polymers have been used as scaffolds in tissue engineering, thus representing an important alternative for reconstruction of lesions and tissue losses. This study aimed to evaluate the in vivo performance of three-dimensional scaffolds made of polycaprolactone (PCL), by means of through a PCL implant on the subcutaneous tissues of rats back and calvaria, as well as the reaction of their kidneys, lungs and liver. The histological analysis of the bone repair process in calvaria showed the presence of newly formed bone growing towards the center of the defects. The formation of a thin fibrous capsule was observed in the tissues adjacent to the scaffold implanted on the back of all animals, with collagenous fibers involving the implant. As for events occurring in animals' kidneys, lungs and liver, there were no harmful tissue alterations in these organs nor the presence of inflammatory process, hyperplasia, metaplasia, dysplasia or hemorrhage. A quantitative analysis of the bone repair process was performed using histomorphometry and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Results showed that the newly formed bone grew towards the center of the defects. Statistical analysis revealed that the total area of new bone formation was greater in experimental defects at 21, 60 and 120 days, showing a statistically significant difference. In tomographic analysis found that new bone formation is more likely to occur in experimental defects, but with no statistically significant difference. Considering tomographic analysis as a new method for the assessment of new bone formation, the data obtained from this assessment could not be correlated with those obtained from histomorphometric analysis. Therefore, it can be concluded that PCL scaffolds produced on an additive manufacturing machine are biocompatible, non-cytotoxic and bioresorbable products that promote osteoconduction. PCL showed great potential for clinical use in the treatment of bone defects by increasing bone ?rea and seems to be an appropriate biomaterial to be used in other studies aiming to elucidate issues related to this topic. Additionally, CBCT does not seem to be a useful tool in the evaluation of new bone formation of rat calvaria, which means that histomorphometric analysis is still the most appropriate method.Pol?meros biorreabsorv?veis v?m sendo utilizados como scaffolds na engenharia tecidual, destacando-se como alternativa para reconstru??o de les?es e perdas teciduais. Neste estudo, avaliou-se o desempenho in vivo de scaffolds tridimensionais de pol?mero policaprolactona (PCL), atrav?s do implante do PCL nos tecidos subcut?neos do dorso e na calv?ria, bem como da rea??o dos ?rg?os rins, pulm?es e f?gado de ratos. A an?lise histol?gica qualitativa do processo de reparo ?sseo nas calv?rias mostrou neoforma??o ?ssea e que o osso neoformado cresceu em dire??o ao centro de defeitos. Nos tecidos adjacentes ao scaffold implantado no dorso, percebeu-se que em todos os animais houve forma??o de c?psula fibrosa fina, com fibras col?genas organizadas envolvendo o implante. Com rela??o aos eventos ocorridos nos rins, f?gado e pulm?es dos animais, n?o houve altera??es teciduais danosas aos ?rg?os, tampouco a presen?a de processo inflamat?rio, hiperplasia, metaplasia, displasia ou hemorragia. A an?lise quantitativa do processo de reparo ?sseo foi realizada atrav?s de histomorfometria e tomografia computadorizada de feixe c?nico (TCFC). Ap?s an?lise estat?stica, a ?rea total de neoforma??o ?ssea em mm2 foi maior nos defeitos experimentais aos 21, 60 e 120 dias, com diferen?a estatisticamente significativa. Na an?lise tomogr?fica, percebeu-se uma tend?ncia de maior neoforma??o ?ssea nos defeitos experimentais, mas sem diferen?a estatisticamente significativa. Considerando-se a an?lise tomogr?fica como uma nova metodologia para avalia??o de neoforma??o ?ssea, os dados obtidos atrav?s dessa avalia??o n?o puderam ser correlacionados com aqueles obtidos na an?lise histomorfom?trica. Portanto, conclui-se que os scaffolds de PCL produzidos na plataforma experimental de manufatura aditiva s?o biocompat?veis, n?o citot?xicos, biorreabsorv?veis e promovem osteocondu??o. O PCL apresentou grande potencial de aplica??o cl?nica nos defeitos onde se espera aumentar a ?rea ?ssea e parece adequado como um biomaterial de escolha para outros estudos que elucidem as quest?es pertinentes. A TCFC n?o parece ser uma ferramenta ?til na avalia??o da neoforma??o ?ssea em calv?ria de ratos, de modo que a an?lise histomorfom?trica permanece como m?todo mais adequado
