Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

The purpose of this research is to measure the effectiveness of Company X’s cooking videos toward viewer engagement in YouTube, and made a recommendation. Measuring the effectiveness by calculating the correlation of variables in YouTube, that are voting, subscribe, share, and dislike. And analyze the correlation of each variable as a whole one. To support the results and made a recommendation, the author also comparing the videos of Company X with the best practice one. The results are, cooking videos of Company X are not effective to gain viewer engagement. And cooking videos of Company X are not effective enough to gain viewer engagement compare to the best practice one. The recommendations were adopted from best practice one that being compared with Company X. There are several recommendation based on many video’s characteristics. Such as Title, Video Thumbnail Image, Length, Video Information, and Video Description. There is another video’s characteristic that being recommended, but it is not implemented by the best practice one, it is Video Annotatio
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Analisis Ketimpangan Pendapatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat Tahun 2012-2021
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gambaran ketimpangan pendapatan di Provinsi Sumatera Barat serta pengaruh laju pertumbuhan PDRB, tingkat kemiskinan dan tingkat pengangguran terbuka terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan di Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan data BPS tahun 2021. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi data panel. Adapun variabel indipenden yang dianalisis yaitu laju pertumbuhan PDRB, tingkat kemiskinan dan tingkat pengangguran terbuka. Disamping itu, variabel dependen yang digunakan adalah ketimpangan pendapatan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat kemiskinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan di Provinsi Sumatera Barat tahun 2012-2021. Sementara laju pertumbuhan PDRB dan tingkat pengangguran terbuka berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan di Provinsi Sumatera Barat tahun 2012-2021.

Sistem Pendeteksi Kebocoran Gas LPG Menggunakan Multi Sensor Berbasis Machine-to-Machine
No full textKebocoran Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) merupakan hal yang sangat berbahaya dan akan sangat merugikan banyak pihak. Kebocoran dari satu tabung LPG akan menyebabkan ledakan yang sangat besar. Kejadian kebakaran yang diakibatkan kebocoran gas LPG saat ini sudah tidak hanya terjadi di pemukiman warga saja tetapi sudah banyak yang terjadi di agen penyimpanan tabung – tabung LPG. Pada agen LPG terdapat ratusan hingga ribuan tabung yang diletakkan berdampingan, apabila salah satu tabung mengalami kebocoran, dikhawatirkan akan memicu tabung – tabung yang lain mengalami kebocoran juga hingga mengakibatkan kebakaran.
Untuk mengimplementasikan permasalahan yang terjadi, dibuat sebuah sistem prototipe pendeteksi kebocoran LPG menggunakan Multi Sensor berbasis Machine–to–Machine (M2M). Konsep M2M berguna untuk pendeteksian secara otomatis tanpa adanya campur tangan manusia. Dimana hanya antara mesin dan mesin yang saling bertukar informasi dan menghasilkan sebuah informasi yang akurat tanpa adanya campur tangan manusia secara langsung.
Sistem yang dibangun menggunakan sensor LPG (MQ - 6) dengan memanfaatkan platform M2M yaitu OpenMTC. Dimana nantinya user dapat langsung memonitoring secara real time lewat sebuah aplikasi yang terhubung langsung dengan OpenMTC. Setiap sensor yang digunakan akan bertugas mendeteksi kadar gas di ruangan dan ketika terjadi kebocoran masing - masing sensor akan saling berinteraksi untuk menentukan lokasi kebocoran. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dan analisis pada sistem yang dibangun, sensor MQ - 6 dapat diletakkan pada ketinggian 100 CM. Dengan ketinggian tersebut, sensor mampu mendeteksi hingga jarak 75 CM. Dengan menggunakan tiga node sensor sistem dapat mendeteksi di dalam ruangan dengan panjang 270 CM dan lebar 120 CM dengan tidak adanya wilayah yang tidak terdeteksi oleh sensor. Untuk menentukan lokasi kebocoran, sistem menganalisis berdasarkan frekuensi pembacaan data ketika rentang nilai pembacaan sensor 0.6 volt hingga 1.2 volt, dan dalam menentukan lokasi kebocoran semakin jauh sumber kebocoran dengan sensor, maka semakin besar juga nilai frekuensi pembacaan data.

No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
