    Seeing from the phenomenon of legislative candidates who use various political campaign strategy methods used in competing in the legislative general election is very important, so in this study the author examines the problem of winning strategies that have been carried out by the incumbent legislative candidate from the PAN Party named Kiagus Ishak. Yasin and H. RM. Syafruddin, SE, .MM from the PPP Party as a new legislative candidate running where the two legislative candidates are both local male legislative candidates who come from Palembang aristocratic descent in winning the 2019 legislative elections in Palembang City what caused the success and the failure of the two legislative candidates. This study aims to determine the winning strategy used by the two candidates in their election area. Based on the theory used. The defensive strategy is used when the legislative candidates want to retain the majority or if the vote is achieved, they want to be preserved. This strategy was developed by legislative candidates as a way to maintain votes from the support surrounding the local community. The offensive political strategy is a political campaign strategy used to influence voters, what must be sold or displayed is the difference to the prevailing conditions at that time and the benefits that can be expected from it so that new voter groups can be formed in addition to existing voters. The results of the research conducted by the researchers, among others, were able to find that although both of them both bear the title of clan from the native area of ​​Palembang City, several factors were also found that led to the effectiveness of the strategies used by the two local male legislative candidates above, both Incumbent and incumbent candidates, namely Kiagus Ishak Yasin and a local legislative candidate, a local newcomer, H.     Background: Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory disease that leads to the emergence of aterom plaque, which causes thickening of the blood vessel wall. Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is caused by rupture of atherosclerotic plaques that triggeracute thrombosis cause total occlusion of the coronary artery. Initiating event in atherosclerosis is the change LDL into oxidized (OxLDL). Activation of OxLDL would be mediated by various scavenger receptors, such as LOX-1. Consumption of legumes can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. This study want to find out whether the kidney beans that are included in legumes have efficacious aspreventiverisk of atherosclerosis. Objective: To prove that kidney bean extract can lower LDL and OxLDL plasma in LOX-1 gene polymorphism 3'UTR188C/T as preventive risk of atherosclerosis. Research methods: laboratory experiments with phytochemical test, testkidney bean extract effect with a dose of 400 mg, 800 mg dan 1200 mg per day on lipid profile and plasma levels of OxLDL by Enzyme -linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), test 3'UTR188C/T gene polymorphism with restriction enzyme. Results: The results of the phytochemical screening kidney bean extract contains active compounds such as alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, triterpenoids/steroids, and glycosides. LDL found decrease in all treatment groups with the highest decrease in the 800 mg group, although not significantly. But found elevated levels of OxLDL in all treatment groups with the highest increase were also in the group of 800 mg. Most study participants were genotype CT. Conclusion: It has been produced kidney bean extract in the form of extracts condensed that has met the standards . Kidney bean extract can lower LDL cholesterol. Although kidney bean extract can increase plasma Ox-LDL, further research needs to be done to see the existence of an increase in the levels of OxLDL. Participants with TT genotype had higher levels of plasma OxLDL than other genotypesLatar belakang: Aterosklerosis adalah penyakit inflamasi yang menyebabkan munculnya plak aterom sehingga mengakibatkan terjadinya penebalan pada dinding pembuluh darah. Infark miokard akut (IMA) disebabkan oleh rupturnya plak aterosklerosis yang memicu trombosis akut sehingga menyebabkan oklusi total arteri coronaria. Kejadian awal pada aterosklerosis adalah perubahan LDL menjadi bentuk yang teroksidasi (OxLDL). Aktivasi OxLDL dimediasi oleh berbagai reseptor scavenger, seperti LOX-1. Konsumsi tanaman polong dapat menurunkan risiko penyakit jantung koroner. Studi ini ingin mengetahui efektivitas buncis yang termasuk kedalam tanaman polong dapat berkhasiat sebagai upaya preventif risiko aterosklerosis. Tujuan penelitian: Membuktikan bahwa ekstrak buncis dapat menurunkan kadar LDL dan OxLDL plasma pada polimorfisme gen LOX-1 3’UTR188C/T sebagai upaya preventif risiko aterosklerosis. Metode penelitian: Eksperimen laboratorium dengan uji fitokimia, uji efek ekstrak buncis dengan dosis 400 mg, 800 mg dan 1200 mg/hari terhadap profil lemak dan kadar OxLDL plasma dengan Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), uji polimorfisme gen 3’UTR188C/T dengan enzim restriksi. Hasil: Hasil skrining fitokimia ekstrak buncis mengandung golongan senyawa aktif seperti alkaloida, saponin, flavonoid, triterpenoid/steroid, dan glikosida. Dijumpai penurunan LDL pada semua kelompok perlakuan dengan penurunan tertinggi pada kelompok 800 mg walau tidak bermakna. Tetapi dijumpai peningkatan kadar OxLDL pada semua kelompok perlakuan dengan peningkatan tertinggi juga pada kelompok 800 mg. Genotipe terbanyak peserta studi adalah CT. Kesimpulan: Telah dihasilkan ekstrak buncis berupa ekstrak kental yang telah memenuhi standarisasi. Ekstrak buncis dapat menurunkan LDL kolesterol. Walau ekstrak buncis dapat meningkatkan OxLDL plasma, perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk melihat eksistensi peningkatan kadar OxLDL tersebut. Strategi defensif digunakan bila para calon legislatif ingin mempertahankan mayoritas atau apabila perolehan suaranya yang dicapai, dapat sebelumnya ingin dipertahankan. Strategi ini dibangun oleh calon legislatif sebagai salah satu cara untuk memelihara suara dari dukungan sekitaran masyarakat setempat. Strategi politik ofensif merupakan strategi kampanye politik yang digunakan untuk mempengaruhi pemilih, yang harus dijual atau ditampilkan adalah perbedaan terhadap keadaan yang berlaku saat itu serta keuntungan-keuntungan yang dapat diharapkan dari padanya sehingga dapat terbentuk kelompok pemilih baru disamping para pemilih yang telah ada.     DISTRIBUSI RESISTENSI NYAMUK AEDES AEGYPTI TERHADAP INSEKTISIDA SIPERMETRIN DI SEMARANG

    Pengendalian nyamuk Aedes aegypti merupakan tindakan terpenting dalampenanggulanan penyakit demam berdarah dengue (DBD) karena obat dan vaksin antivirus masihdalam penelitian. Penggunaan insektisida menjadi pilihan utama masyarakat dalam pengendalianAedes > 40 tahun, dan terbukti menimbulkan resistensi di berbagai negara.Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui distribusi resistensi nyamuk Aedes aegypti terhadapinsektisida sipermetrin, yang telah dipakai di Indonesia lebih dari 10 tahun.Nyamuk Aedes aegypti diperoleh dari survey larva di rumah penderita DBD dan 9 rumah disekitarnya. Uji resistensi dengan kit standar WHO. Data dianalisis secara diskriptif untukmenentukan status resistensi dan indeks densitas populasi Aedes. Wawancara digunakan untukmengetahui riwayat penggunaan insektisida.Diproleh hasil HI berkisar 41,7 – 76,9%, rerata 58,44%. CI berkisar 21,9 – 78,3%, rerata50,54%. BI berkisar 43,75 – 138,46%, rerata 80,56%. Kematian nyamuk berkisar 0,8 – 13,5%, rerata5,88%, dengan status resisten.Densitas populasi Aedes aegypti di Semarang melebihi batas aman penularan DBD yangditetapkan WHO (≤5%).     Aminolevulinic Acid Dehydratase Allelic Frequency and Lead Toxicity in Children Under-Five in a Former Used Lead-Acid Battery Area

    Polymorphisms in the Aminolevulinic Acid Dehydratase (ALAD) gene responsible for the ALAD1 and ALAD2 alleles have been implicated in susceptibility to lead toxicity. This study aimed to determine the allelic frequency of ALAD2 among children living in Bogor District, Indonesia, and its association with blood lead levels (BLLs) and lead toxicity. A cross-sectional study involving 128 children was conducted during September-October 2019 in the former ULAB area in Cinangka Village. The ALAD polymorphism, BLLs, and hematological parameters were evaluated. Blood samples were taken for dried blood spotting on filter paper, blood film, and BLL measurement. The PCR amplification and sequencing of the genomic DNA revealed the presence of two forms of the ALAD2 allele: 177C and 177T with a frequency of 0.05. Analysis of the correlation between the ALAD2 allele, BLLs, and basophilic stippling revealed that ALAD2 carriers had a five times higher risk of high BLLs, (OR = 5.359, p-value = 0.155) and had a slightly higher risk of exhibiting basophilic stippling (OR = 1.09, p-value = 1.000). Although not statistically significant, these findings suggested that the ALAD genotype may modify BLLs and lead to toxicity. The ALAD2 allele(177T) is firstly reported in any population in the world
