RESPON PERTUMBUHAN VEGETATIF TANAMAN PISANG BARANGAN (Musa paradisiaca sapientum L.) AKIBAT PENGGUNAAN PUPUK KOTORAN KAMBING DAN JAMUR Trichoderma harzianum
This study aims to get the response of plant vegetative growth banana (Musa paradisiaca sapientum L) effect to the use of goat manure and fungus Trichoderma harzianum and the combination of both treatments. The research was conducted in the area of the garden village Selamat District of Biru-Biru with altitude 200 m above sea level. The study was conducted from April 2014 through August 2014. This study used a randomized block design factorial consisting of two factors, namely goat manure dose factor (K) consists of 3 levels of treatment: K0 = 0 kg/plant, K1 = 2.5 kg/plant, K2 = 5 kg/plant and dosing frequency factor fungus Trichoderma harzianum (T) consists of 3 levels of treatment are: T0 = 0 g/plant, T1 = 25 g/plant and T2 = 50 g/plant. Parameters were observed in this study is plant height (cm), number of leaves (pieces), stem diameter (cm). The results showed goat manure significantly affected plant height and diameter growth of banana stem. Goat manure is best obtained at a dose of 5 kg/plant. Fungus Trichoderma harzianum significant effect on plant height at a dose of 50 g/plant, but no real effect on the number of leaves and stem diameter. Pemanfaatan Trichoderma Harzianum dan Pupuk Kandang dalam Menekan Pertumbuhan Penyakit Busuk Pangkal Batang (Sclerotium Rolfsii) pada Kacang Tanah (Arachis Hipogaea L)
Muhammad Yusuf Dibisono, 2014. Stem rot (S. rolfsii) is one of the important
disease on peanuts. This disease can significantly decrease the production of
peanuts. Sclerotium rolfsii is difficult to be controlled because it can live as a
saprophyte and produce sklerotia to survive in the soil for a long term. This
study aims to test the response of giving T. harzianum and manure to the growth
of stem rot on peanut plants. This experiment was conducted at the Laboratory
of Plant Diseases and Screen House Faculty of Agriculture, University of North
Sumatra, from January until September 2010. There were 3 studies conducted
i.e. 1. Manure extract test against S. rolfsii, 2. Viability testing T. harzianum, 3.
Testing of manure and T. harzianum fungus against the pathogen S. rolfsii on
peanut plants in the screen house. The result showed that T. harzianum has been
able to suppress the growth of disease S. rolfsii. with 29.67 days after
inoculation incubation period, disease incidence 15.00% and 11.67% disease
severity, disease index 0.10% and to increase plant growth. The use of cow
manure and chicken manure can decrease the growth of disease S. rolfsii
with a incubation period of 25.00 and 28.75 days after inoculation, and 9.17%
decrease disease incidence and diseases severity of 8.06%, disease index 0.30
affect the height of peanut plants at 4 weeks after plant. Utilization of T.
harzianum and manure has the ability to suppress the growth of S. rolfsii and
to increase the resistance of peanut plants.Muhammad Yusuf Dibisono, 2014. Penyakit busuk pangkal batang (S. rolfsii)
adalah salah satu penyakit penting pada pertanaman kacang tanah. Penyakit ini
dapat menurunkan produksi yang cukup berarti pada kacang tanah. Sclerotium
rolfsii sulit dikendalikan karena dapat hidup sebagai saprofit serta memproduksi
sklerotia untuk bertahan hidup di dalam tanah pada jangka waktu panjang.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji respon pemberian T. harzianum dan pupuk
kandang terhadap perkembangan penyakit busuk pangkal batang pada tanaman
kacang tanah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan dan
Rumah kassa Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara, dari bulan Januari
sampai dengan bulan September 2010. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu: 1.
Uji ekstrak pupuk kandang terhadap S. rolfsii, 2. Pengujian viabilitas T.
harzianum, 3. Pengujian pupuk kandang dan jamur T. harzianum terhadap
patogen S. rolfsii pada tanaman kacang tanah di rumah kassa. Hasil Penelitian
menunjukkan penggunaan T. harzianum mampu menekan perkembangan
penyakit S. rolfsii. Periode inkubasi kontrol dan pemberian 5 hari sebelum tanam
masing-masing selama 22,83 dan 29,67 hsi, menurunkan kejadian penyakit
sebesar 15,00 %, keparahan penyakit 11,67%, dan indeks penyakit sebesar 0,10%,
serta meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Penggunaan pupuk kandang mampu
menekan perkembangan penyakit S. rolfsii. Periode inkubasi kontrol dan pupuk
kandang sapi masing-masing selama 25,00 dan 28,75 hsi serta menurunkan
kejadian penyakit sebesar 9,17%, keparahan penyakit sebesar 8,06% dan indeks
penyakit sebesar 0,30 serta meningkatkan tinggi tanaman kacang tanah pada 4
mst. Pemanfaatan T. harzianum dan pupuk kandang mempunyai kemampuan
menekan pertumbuhan S. rolfsii serta meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman kacang

Palm oil fronds is one of the wastes originating from the oil palm industry which are difficult to decompose. The right decomposer application is one of the success keys, if the oil palm fronds are processed into compost hence the expected quality of compost is achieved. This research aim was to determine the quality of oil palm fronds compost with Trichoderma harzianum and cow dung application based on N, P, K nutrients content, C-organic and C/N compost ratio. The research design used was factorial complete randomized design, the first factor was cow dung (0 kg, 1 kg, and 2 kg) and the second factor was Trichoderma harzianum (0 g, 50 g, and 100 g). Research observations included compost temperature, compost pH, N, P, K, C-organic, and C/N compost ratios. The results showed that the application of cow dung, Trichoderma harzianum and their interactions had no significant effect on N, P, K nutrient content, C-organic, and C/N compost ratios, as a whole, the observed compost characteristics met compost criteria based on SNI 7030-200
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
