Transculturalità e traduzione: la lingua di Özdamar e Demirkan
No full textAl centro dell’articolo Transculturalità e traduzione: la lingua di Özdamar e Demirkan sono due scrittrici turco-tedesche contemporanee transculturali: Emine Sevgi Özdamar e Renan Demirkan. Dopo una breve presentazione in chiave biografica ci si sofferma sulle diversità linguistiche e sul differente modo di vivere ed esprimere la loro transculturalità. Si esaminano poi passi scelti dai testi Mutterzunge (1991) di E.S. Özdamar e Schwarzer Tee mit drei Stück Zucker (1990) di R. Demirkan e si analizzano le difficoltà traduttive incontrate di fronte a testi tedeschi scritti da autrici turco-tedesche. L’obiettivo è dimostrare come dietro l’apparente semplicità dal punto di vista linguistico di alcuni testi di scrittrici transculturali ci sia una complessità che può causare grandi difficoltà nella traduzione in un’altra lingua, in questo caso l’italiano

No full textArt-e Sanat DergisiBu çalışma, mimarlığı konu alan belgesel filmlerinin çözümlenmesi için teknik ve mekânsal sınıflandırmalardan oluşan tasarımsal öyküleme boyutunu önermektedir. Teknik öyküleme boyutunu, anlatı tarzı, anlatıcı tipolojisi, görüntü tasarımı, oyunculuk tasarımı, yineleme tasarımı, ayrıntı tasarımı, kurgu tasarımı, ses evreni tasarımı; mekânsal öyküleme boyutu ise seçilen mekân, aktiviteler, donatılar ve söylem oluşturmaktadır. Alan olarak özellikle yaşanan mekandaki ikilemler üzerine belgeseller üreten Ila Bêka ve Louise Lemoine’un yönetmenliğini yaptığı Butoh Evi adlı belgesel film seçilmiştir. Butoh Evi’nde kalıcılık, aydınlanma, azim ve umut kelimelerini içinde barındıran kendi evini inşa etmeye çalışan bir adamın öyküsü anlatılmaktadır. Film yedi zaman kesitine ayrılmıştır. Parçalar incelenmiştir. Belgeselin bir performans olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Kullanıcı bir Butoh dansçısıdır. 2015’te kendi evini inşa etmeye karar vermiştir. Plan ya da herhangi kesin bir tasarım olmadan doğaçlama bir dansa benzer olarak evi inşa etmeye başlamıştır. Tasarımsal öyküleme boyutu bağlamında incelendiğinde belgeselin provakatif bir sanat üretimine dönüştüğü görülmektedir

No full textIn the Demirkan ruling, the Court of Justice of the European Union refused to extend the passive freedom of services first stated in the Luisi e Carbone ruling to Turkish tourists wishing to enter a member State of the EU without obtaining a visa. The Case Note reviews the grounds of this finding, which partially reiterate those at the basis of the Ziebell ruling as regards the different purposes of the Association between Turkey and the EU, on the one hand, and the Treaty on the European Union, on the other hand. Nevertheless, doubts are raised on the importance that the Court and the Advocate General in Demirkan attach to the link between the passive freedom of services and the concept of European citizenship. Ultimately, the impact of the ruling on the negotiation between Turkey and the EU on visa liberalization is highlighted
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
No full textWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Nigeria. The paper started by delving into the history of Book Publishing in Nigeria after
which it proceeded by defining who an author, a publisher, and a bookseller is and
expatiated on the indispensable roles of these key actors in Nigerian Book Industry and in
the emerging Information Society. Furthermore, the various constraints to book
development were identified while the paper advised on how the Book Industry can be
further promoted in Nigeria. However, the paper concluded and made recommendations
on how the Book sector can help in enhancing scholarship in the country

Proposta di traduzione di alcuni estratti del romanzo Schwarzer Tee mit drei Stuck Zucker di Renan Demirkan
No full textL'obbiettivo del presente elaborato è quello di presentare una proposta di traduzione dal tedesco all’italiano di alcuni estratti dell’opera Schwarzer Tee mit drei Stück Zucker di Renan Demirkan.
Il motivo per cui la scelta è ricaduta su questo romanzo è da ricollegare ai temi trattati dall’autrice e al contesto storico nel quale si svolgono i fatti. L'opera narra infatti la storia di una famiglia che dalla Turchia si sposta in Germania in qualità di Gastarbeiter, che dovrà affrontare sfide come l’integrazione e l'affermazione di una propria identità culturale. È stato interessante vedere questo fenomeno, estremamente significativo per la storia e società tedesca, dal punto di vista dei migranti e doversi confrontare non solo con una, ma bensì con due culture, quella tedesca e quella turca, durante il lavoro di analisi e traduzione.
La tesi è composta da sei capitoli, a loro volta suddivisi in paragrafi. L'elaborato si apre con un’introduzione generale, nel secondo capitolo invece verrà presentata la figura della scrittrice Renan Demirkan con una breve biografia e verranno illustrate le caratteristiche principali dell’opera scelta e del contesto storico in cui è ambientata. Nel terzo capitolo saranno esposti gli aspetti teorici di maggiore importanza della traduzione letteraria, per poi passare nel quarto capitolo alla vera e propria proposta di traduzione degli estratti scelti con testo originale a fronte. Nel quinto capitolo saranno riportate le strategie traduttive adottate, eventuali difficoltà riscontrate nel corso della traduzione con soluzioni e commenti relativi. Il capitolo finale sarà infine costituito da una breve conclusione
