No full textThe subject of the article is an analysis of the figure of Queen Sigrid in the novels of Elzbieta Cherezińska "Harda" and "Queen". The heroine is an extraordinary woman, very strong and intelligent, that had a significant impact on political events in medieval Europe. She is a semi-legendary figure, probably the daughter of Mieszko and Dobrawa or Oda, mother of Canute the King of Sweden, Norway, Denmark and England. She is mentioned by several historical sources, for example, Thietmar, Adam of Bremen, and the Scandinavian sagas. In the historical sources, she appears under the name that was given to her after she married the King of Sweden, Eric, the Slavic name of “Svietoslava” is only hypothetical. The rudimentary and uncertain information about this character allows the author to create a literary heroine who is very attractive to modern readers.The author combines the myth-creating potential of the Middle Ages with the modern tendency to highlight the importance of women in history. The author relates the image of a strong woman to the image of a strong state – the Polish Piasts, which was a major power in the European arena

No full textAs a part of liberal theology, the tenet of religious pluralism suggests tolerant systems toward all religious adherents. However, this tenet turned out to cause new problems for religious adherents. It is because of religious pluralism has the concept of truth relativism. This term has the doctrine that there is no absolute truth of each religion, as the acceptance of all religious paths as equally valid. Stating that all religious paths are equally valid, the bearers of religious pluralism hope no longer a religion that claims to be the owner of the ultimate truth because in essence, religion is the result of a variety of human feelings and religious experience, so every religion that exists in this world contains divine truth. Many religious experts did not agree with this worldview and they actually considered it a new religion that wants to unite all religions. Through this article, the author wants to prove that religious pluralism is a fierce polemic and it could cause many problems in religions. Although it has a good goal, it is very problematic to understand. In fact, many religions have turned out to reject this understanding. There are some movement of many religious experts shows that notion of pluralism is problematic, as containing polemical and highly problematic issue for instance when applied in the existing religions. Every religion saw religious pluralism is only a disguise to erode the confidence of believers who in turn gave rise to the atheists. Eventually, the adherents of each religion will be skeptical towards religion.</p

Get PDF This study aims to determine the role of investigator Harda Polda DIY in dealing with fraudulent offenders, because of letter forgery cases this results in material losses and immaterial Knowing the impact of the active role generated from the investigation of the DIY Regional Police Harda Subdistrict against the perpetrators of letter forgery, so that the legal process obtained legal certainty for both victims and perpetrators of falsification of letters, in addition to knowing thecausal factors the occurrence of falsification of the letter and knowing the steps of Investigator Harda in dealing with the perpetrators of criminal acts of letter forgery. The approach used by the author is an empirical juridical approach, namely the approach of existing law to be applied in cases that occur, namely analyzing how the role of Investigator Harda against criminal acts of forgery of letters carried out by perpetrators in the jurisdiction of the Regional Police of DIY. The analysis used is qualitative, namely the method of data analysis by grouping and selecting data obtained from research according to the quality and truth, then connected with the theories from the literature study. The investigator in determining the role taken against the perpetrators of the crime of forgery of letters is by knowing the factors that cause the occurrence of letter forgery, this step is based on Article 13 of Law Number 2 Year 2002 concerning the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia and Perkap Number 10 Year 2010 Regulation of the Chief of Police However, in the process of investigating Harda investigators, it did not provide a deterrent effect on the perpetrators of not carrying out similar actions, this was because the investigation process was still not maximal, so many perpetrators of criminal acts of letter forgery still escaped legal entrapment. Law enforcement activities carried out by Investigator Harda are always improving Capability, Awareness, Attitude and Behavior so that legal certainty can be achieved for both victims and perpetrators of fraudulent letters.
George Orwell’s worldviews reflected in Burmese Days: a genetic structuralism study
No full textIn this research, the researcher chose to examine novels written by George Orwell and specifically chose the novel Burmese Days. George Orwell is a prolific novel writer and has contributed greatly to the development of literature. There are many life values that can be learned from the novels he wrote, especially the novel Burmese Days. The researcher will conduct research on the novel Burmese Days by George Orwell based on genetic structuralism studies. The basic concepts in the study of Genetic Structuralism according to Goldmann are human facts, collective subjects, world views, structuration, and dialectics of understanding and explanation (Faruk, 2016). Based on this concept, the researcher will only discuss it from the perspective of world views. The purpose of this study is to know and describe the author's worldview contained in the novel Burmese Days by George Orwell.
This study used a qualitative description method. The main data used in this study was George Orwell's novel entitled Burmese Days. The theory used in this study is the theory of genetic structuralism.
The results showed that in George Orwel's Burmese Day Novel there are three things that make up the factors of Genetic Structuralism. Among them are the author's worldview, collective subject, and human facts. Until finally the facts of humanity and the collective subject shape the author's worldview. Worldview occurs because of the reciprocal process between historical facts and collective consciousness that is formed and poured as a geneological process for the publication of a literary work. The process is also contained in the work Burmese Day which is an event or personal experience of the author, and is a historical fact that influenced the nation, namely Burma (Myanmar) today. The author's worldview that has been expressed in the work is a dialectical process of the author with the facts and personal experiences of the author as outlined in the work of fiction

Get PDFABSTRACT. The problem in this study is that students in class 10 of IPS SMA 2 Majalengka have an average swimming technique that is not perfect, and the pedaling is not powerful. For this reason, tools are needed to improve his swimming technique as well as develop his physical condition. The author tries to use buoys and fins swimming in his swimming lessons. The research method used in this research is action research. In class 10 there are 12 people. The instrument used was a freestyle swimming assessment rubric. Result report, it is obtained an overview in cycle I of 4 students (33.3%) and 8 people (66.7%) who did not complete, in cycle II as many as 7 people (58.3%). complete students and 5 students (41.7%) did not complete, and in cycle III 11 people (91.6%) students completed learning freestyle swimming and 1 0rang (8.4%) did not complete. The learning outcomes of swimming which are the ultimate goal of swimming learning require maximum effort and improvement at each stage of learning. In addition, a very important factor in achieving these goals is a means of learning. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik di kelas 10 IPS SMA 2 Majalengka rata-rata teknik renang tidak sempurna, serta kayuhan tangan kurang bertenaga. Untuk itu diperlukan alat bantu untuk memperbaiki teknik berenangnya sekaligus mengembangkan kondisi fisiknya. Penulis mencoba menggunakan pelampung dan fins swimming dalam pembelajaran renangnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan. Di kelas 10 jumlah orang sebanyak 12 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Rubrik penilaian renang gaya bebas. Hasil penelitian melaporkan diperoleh gambaran pada siklus I peserta didik yang tuntas dalam belajar sebanyak 4 orang (33,3%), dan 8 Orang (66,7 %) tidak tuntas, pada siklus II sebanyak 7 orang (58,3 %) peserta didik tuntas dan 5 orang (41,7 %) tidak tuntas, dan pada siklus III 11 orang (91,6 %) peserta didik tuntas dalam pembelajaran renang gaya bebas dan 1 0rang (8,4 %) tidak tuntas. Hasil belajar renang yang menjadi tujuan akhir dari suatu pembelajaran renang memerlukan upaya yang maksimal dan perbaikan pada setiap tahapan belajarnya. Selain itu faktor yang sangat penting dalam pencapaian tujuan tersebut adalah sarana pembelajaran. Kalimat sawa\u27 is a concept derived from Surah Ali Imran: 64 of the Qur\u27an frequently employed in interreligious relations. However, scholarly opinions on this concept differ. Some based this concept on religious pluralism, and some rejected it because it confirms that Islam is the only religion that Allah has blessed. Two notable Indonesian intellectuals, namely Hamka and Nurcholish Madjid, are associated with these two distinct concepts. This concept warrants further investigation because it is anticipated to be one of the approaches in interreligious relations. This type of research is qualitative and based on both printed and digital library research. Using comparative analysis, the author describes the perspectives of the two figures to be analyzed and compared in order to reveal their distinct thought patterns. According to Hamka, kalimat sawa\u27 referred to in the Qur\u27an is an invitation to the Ahli Kitab group to return to monotheism, thereby establishing Islam as the only true religion. In contrast, Nurcholish Madjid interpreted the kalimat sawa\u27 as an effort to unite religions on common ground. This idea is related to the concept of al-Islam as an attitude of submission to God so that no single religion has a monopoly on truth claims. Get PDFThis article aims to explain the consequences of religious hate speech (RHS) on religious harmony in Indonesia. RHS, which has proven to be a serious challenge to Indonesian democracy, seems to have clashed with the concepts of rights and freedom of speech. That is, there are those who argue that actions containing RHS elements are a form of rights and freedoms guaranteed by law. On that basis, this topic is worth studying in order to examine whether RHS is a right and freedom of speech. The result of the study can be seen from the response of the Indonesian government and the consequences of the RHS. This research is qualitative in nature and based on library data, both printed and digital. Using a descriptive-analytic method, the author describes the meaning of RHS and analyzes its impact on religious harmony in Indonesia. It is found that RHS is in no way equivalent to rights and freedom of speech. It even includes religious blasphemy. Therefore, it leads to social disharmony and the disintegration of the Indonesian nation.
Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan konsekuensi yang ditimbulkan dari ujaran kebencian berbasis agama (UKBA) terhadap kerukunan umat beragama di Indonesia. UKBA yang terbukti menjadi tantangan serius bagi demokrasi Indonesia tampaknya dibenturkan dengan konsep hak dan kebebasan berbicara. Artinya, ada yang berdalih bahwa tindakan yang mengandung unsur UKBA itu merupakan bentuk hak dan kebebasan yang dijamin undang-undang. Atas dasar itu, topik ini layak dikaji guna menguji apakah UKBA merupakan hak dan kebebasan berbicara. Hasil dari pengujian itu bisa dilihat dari respons pemerintah Indonesia dan konsekuensi yang ditimbulkan dari UKBA itu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan berbasis pada data kepustakaan (library research), baik cetak maupun digital. Dengan metode deskriptif-analisis, penulis menjabarkan makna UKBA dan menganalisis dampaknya bagi kerukunan umat beragama di Indonesia. Dari sini, ditemukan bahwa UKBA bukanlah termasuk hak dan kebebasan berbicara. Ia bahkan termasuk penistaan agama. Oleh karena itu, konsekuensi yang ditimbulkannya menyebabkan disharmoni sosial dan disintegrasi bangsa Indonesia
