Síndrome de burnout em professores de odontologia

Odontologia.Atualmente o mercado de trabalho de odontologia se encontra cada vez mais saturado, competitivo e seletivo, consequentemente cobrando melhorias das instituições de ensino e corpo docente, os quais muitas vezes ficam sobrecarregados. Dessa forma, o professor de odontologia tem sido acometido por agravos relacionados ao estresse, como transtornos de ansiedade e Síndrome de Burnout. O objetivo deste trabalho é estimar a prevalência da Síndrome de Burnout entre os professores de graduação do curso de odontologia da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. A coleta de dados foi realizada durante o mês de julho de 2015. O instrumento para coleta de dados foi um questionário sobre dados pessoais, socioeconômicos, perfil do professor e o Inventário de Burnout Maslach – General Survey (MBI-GS) na versão em língua portuguesa. A prevalência de alto nível de Síndrome de Burnout foi de 55,36%, 16,07% apresentou alto nível de exaustão emocional, 12,50% apresentou alto nível de despersonalização e 25,00% apresentou baixo nível de eficácia no trabalho. Houve Síndrome de Burnout alto entre os entrevistados que dormem menos de 6 horas diárias, praticam pouca ou nenhuma atividade física, consomem medicamentos devido ao trabalho, pensam em desistir da carreira docente e realizam 40 horas-aula semanais em regime de dedicação exclusiva. A prevalência da Síndrome de Burnout alta e moderada foi de 96,72% entre os docentes entrevistados.Currently the labor market in dentistry is increasingly saturated, competitive and selective, thus demanding improvements in educational institutions and teachers, who often become overwhelmed. Thus, the dentistry professor has been affected by stress related diseases, such as anxiety disorders and burnout syndrome. This work`s objective is to estimate the prevalence of burnout syndrome among dentistry professors from Federal University of Santa Catarina. The data collection process was done during the month of July 2015. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire on personal data, socioeconomic, professors` profile and the Portuguese version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory - General Survey (MBI-GS). The prevalence of high level Burnout syndrome was 55.36%, 16.07% showed a high-level emotional exhaustion, 12.50% showed a high level of depersonalization and 25.00% had low level of efficiency at work. Burnout syndrome was high among those who sleep less than 6 hours daily, practice little or no physical activity, use medications due to work, think about giving up the teaching career and work on a exclusive dedication 40 in classroom hours a week routine. The high and moderate level Burnout syndrome was prevalent in 96.72% of researched population

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
