Liquid racism and the Danish Prophet Muhammad cartoons
This is the author's accepted manuscript. The final published article is available from the link below. Copyright @ 2010 The Author. This article examines reactions to the October 2005 publication of the Prophet Muhammad cartoons in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten. It does so by using the concept of ‘liquid racism’. While the controversy arose because it is considered blasphemous by many Muslims to create images of the Prophet Muhammad, the article argues that the meaning of the cartoons is multidimensional, that their analysis is significantly more complex than most commentators acknowledge, and that this complexity can best be addressed via the concept of liquid racism. The article examines the liquidity of the cartoons in relation to four readings. These see the cartoons as: (1) a criticism of Islamic fundamentalism; (2) blasphemous images; (3) Islamophobic and racist; and (4) satire and a defence of freedom of speech. Finally, the relationship between postmodernity and the rise of fundamentalism is discussed because the cartoons, reactions to them, and Islamic fundamentalism, all contain an important postmodern dimension.ESR
Pioneers of Library Movement in Pakistan
The paper aims to describe in brief the contribution of seven leaders of Pakistan librarianship, viz. K.B. Khalifa M. Asadullah, Prof. Dr. Abdul Moid, Dr. Abdus Subuh Qasimi, Muhammad Shafi, Fazal Elahi, Khawaja Nur Elahi and S. V. Hussain. The early library developments are given for better understanding of the role of these leaders
The Danish Muhammad Cartoon Conflict
The “Muhammad crisis,” the “Muhammad Cartoon Crisis,” or “The Jyllands-Posten Crisis” are three different headings used for the global, violent reactions that broke out in early 2006. The cartoon crisis was triggered by the publication of 12 cartoons in the largest Danish daily newspaper Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten on 30 September 2005 and the Danish governments refusal to meet with 11 concerned ambassadors. However, Jyllands-Posten’s record on covering Islam; the ever growing restrictive identity politics and migration policies and the popular association of Islam with terrorism made it predictable that something drastic would eventually happen, although neither the form of the counter-reaction or the stubborn anti-Islamic forces were unknown. This collection of chapters seeks to fill out some of the most glaring holes in the media coverage and academic treatment of the Muhammad cartoon story. It will do so by situating the conflict more firmly in its proper socio-historical context by drawing on the author’s basic research on the Danish news media’s coverage of ethnic and religious minorities since the mid 1990s. The author uses thick contextualization to analyze this very current theme in IMER studies, which has consequences for most immigrants of non-Western countries to the Nordic countries

Fruit and vegetable slicer / Muhammad Danish Arnizam
This project introduces fruit and vegetable slicer, aiming to change the old and inefficient of manual slicing methods. The objective is to develop a device or machine that make the slicing process and enhances productivity. The project can advance precision cutting mechanisms, and user-friendly to achieve this goal. High-speed rotating blades, automatic , and cost saving are integrated into the slicer to ensure consistent and accurate slicing of fruits and vegetables. Slicing may help in the extraction of desirable constituents from raw materials easily due to its reduction in size [3] .The anticipated outcome is a neat slicer of fruit and vegetable that significantly reduces preparation time and effort while promoting kitchen safety. Additionally, the device is expected to deliver visual appealing and precise slices for culinary purposes. By improving food preparation in both professional and home kitchens, the automatic fruit and vegetable slicer has the potential to optimize productivity, creativity, and overall enjoyment in the culinary domain
Automated air ventilation / Muhammad Danish Hakim Zaharun
The weather at this time is getting hotter by the day. Poor quality air flow will cause various diseases that harm our health. Therefore, automated air ventilation was created to improve air flow in closed places so that good air flow can enter and can remove poor quality air from automated air ventilation. The objective emphasized in the project is that I can design automated air ventilation by using suitable materials such as motors, sensors, aluminum profiles and so on. In addition, I will also analyze the quantity and critical parts that are in the automated air ventilation. Aluminum profile is cut into pieces arranged according to the size that fits the closed room. The motor and sensor are also installed on automated air ventilation to make it easier for users. I expect that the automated air ventilation can work well and provide benefits to user
The Complete Muhammad Ali
Including material and photographs not included in most of the 100 other books about the champion, Ishmael Reed's The Complete Muhammad Ali is more than just a biography-it is a fascinating portrait of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. An honest, balanced portrayal of Ali, the book includes voices that have been omitted from other books. It charts Ali's evolution from Black Nationalism to a universalism, but does not discount the Nation of Islam and Black Nationalism's important influence on his intellectual development. Filipino American author Emil Guillermo speaks about how "The Thrilla' In Manila" brought the Philippines into the 20th century. Fans of Muhammad Ali, boxing fans, and those interested in modern African American history and the Nation of Islam will be fascinated by this biography by an accomplished American author.Intro -- DEDICATION -- INTRODUCTION -- The Curious History of an Icon -- CHAPTER 1 -- CHAPTER 2 -- CHAPTER 3 -- CHAPTER 4 -- CHAPTER 5 -- CHAPTER 6 -- CHAPTER 7 -- Did the Secret Government Fear a U.S. Muslim/Overseas Muslim Alliance? -- CHAPTER 8 -- CHAPTER 9 -- The Break Between the Prophet and his Disciple -- CHAPTER 10 -- CHAPTER 11 -- CHAPTER 12 -- The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time): Ali or Louis? -- CHAPTER 13 -- The Nation of Islam, the Mob, Showdowns in Canada and Sonny Liston -- CHAPTER 14 -- CHAPTER 15 -- The Taunts: Marketing or Racism? -- CHAPTER 16 -- CHAPTER 17 -- CHAPTER 18 -- CHAPTER 19 -- Boxing and the Brain -- CHAPTER 20 -- Ali's Feet -- CHAPTER 21 -- Mr. Dick -- CHAPTER 22 -- CHAPTER 23 -- The Opening Ceremonies, November 2005 -- CHAPTER 24 -- December 2005, Las Vegas -- CHAPTER 25 -- CHAPTER 26 -- June 16, 2004 -- CHAPTER 27 -- CHAPTER 28 -- CHAPTER 29 -- Aix-en-Provence -- CHAPTER 30 -- Ali as a Black Nationalist -- San Francisco, January 2004 Black Liberation Book Fair -- CHAPTER 31 -- January 31, 2004 -- CHAPTER 32 -- October 2005, Chicago -- CHAPTER 33 -- Why Ali remained with Elijah instead of following Malcolm -- CHAPTER 34 -- CHAPTER 35 -- February 4, 2006, Oakland, California -- CHAPTER 36 -- Like Zeus Descending from Mount Olympus -- CHAPTER 37 -- CHAPTER 38 -- Tuesday, February 28, 2006, New York -- CHAPTER 39 -- Bigger Than Boxing -- CHAPTER 40 -- Tribes Gallery, New York, April 2006 -- CHAPTER 41 -- June 2006, Louisville, Kentucky -- CHAPTER 42 -- CHAPTER 43 -- CHAPTER 45 -- Bad Company -- CHAPTER 46 -- Coxson, A Very Charming Rogue -- CHAPTER 47 -- Ali and the largest embezzlement scheme in Wells Fargo history -- CHAPTER 48 -- CHAPTER 49 -- "Lonnie is a stabilizing force."-Harry Belafonte -- October 29, 2006 -- CHAPTER 50 -- Abdul Rahman -- CHAPTER 51 -- CHAPTER 52 -- CHAPTER 53How Will Ali Be Remembered? Adsorption of Brilliant Green dye from aqueous solution onto red clay
This study was aimed at the adsorption of Brilliant Green (SG) dye on naturally existing red clay (RC) through batch adsorption experiment. Adsorbent characterization showed Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area 100.28 m(2)/g, pore volume 0.88 cm(3)/g, and pore diameter 148.2 angstrom. Batch studies were carried out to investigate the effect of experimental factors such as pH (2-10), particle size (58-150 mu m), adsorbent dose (0.3-1.5 g/L), contact time (5-1500 min), initial dye concentration (20-100 mg/L), and temperature (25-65 degrees C) on the adsorption of BG dye. Langmuir (R-2 = 0.993), Freundlich (R-2 = 0.997), Hansley (R-2 = 0.997) and Redlich-Peterson (R-2 = 0.999) isotherms were fitted to describe the equilibrium of BG adsorption process. Isothermal models showed that BG adsorption was a favorable process on RC. Adsorption kinetics were well fitted by Pseudo-second order kinetic model (R-2 = 0.999). Thermodynamic study revealed that BG adsorption on RC was spontaneous, favorable and physiosorptive. The maximum adsorption capacity of RC was found to be 125 mg/g. These results showed that BG dye can be effectively removed from aqueous solution employing RC as a cheap adsorbent. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved
Case study of Philips / Muhammad Danish Ghazi Mohd Fakrurazi
The goal of this assignment is to identify the problem of a product. The company that I have chosen is Philips. From their vast selection of products, I have chosen the ADR620 dashcam for the analysis. In this case study, I have done the SWOT analysis to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the ADR620. The primary issue that I have discovered with this ADR620 is that it has difficulties in navigating the application interface, unlike other Philips’ products such as their television, coffee machine, rice cooker, and many more. Based on the problem, the best solution that has been proposed is adding a touch screen feature to the ADR620 dashcam
