Facing Death Honestly: Author-Developed Psychological Support Practice
This OSF project documents the author-developed psychological support practice “Facing Death Honestly” (Russian original: «Со смертью на ты»), created by Valery Kravitz between 2021 and 2025.
The practice is designed as a structured psychological support intervention for individuals confronting awareness of life’s finitude due to severe illness, existential crises, or other significant life events.
The project provides documentation of the theoretical foundations, structured session protocol, ethical framework, and supporting materials of the practice.

The putative antidepressant mechanisms of probiotic bacteria: Relevant genes and proteins
Probiotic bacteria are widely accepted as therapeutic agents against inflammatory bowel diseases for their immunostimulating effects. In the last decade, more evidence has emerged sup-porting the positive effects of probiotics on the course of neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases. This brief review summarizes the data from clinical studies of probiotics possessing antidepressant properties and focuses on the potential genes and proteins underlying these mechanisms. Data from small-sample placebo-controlled pilot studies indicate that certain strains of bacteria can significantly reduce the symptoms of depression, especially in depressed patients. Despite the disparity between studies attempting to pinpoint the bacterial putative genes and proteins accounting for these mecha-nisms, they ultimately show that bacteria are a potential source of metabiotics—microbial metabolites or structural components. Since the constituents of cells—namely, secreted proteins, peptides and cell wall components—are most likely to be entangled in the gut–brain axis, they can serve as starting point in the search for probiotics with concrete properties
Psychoergonomic Method of Clinical Psychiatry (2016–2026 Clinical Validation)

ABSTRACT
The epithelial-mesenchimal transition of respiratory epithelium in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) was goal of investigation. Postmortem immunohistochemical stain of respiratory part histological sections was methods. Result: epithelial immunofenotype of epithelial cells was determinate in more cases. Conclusion. The epitelial-mesenchimal transition does not play main role to lungs fibrosis in ARDS.

REALITY AND MYTH IN VALERY POPOV'S NOVELL "THE MOSQUITO LIVES WHILE HE SINGS"

The article attempts to identify the main features of the poetics of V. Popov's novels written in the first decade of the XXI century. One of the main problems in interpreting these texts is that Valery Popov, the hero of the novels "The Third Breath" (2003), "The Mosquito Lives while He Sings" (2006), "Dancing to Death" (2011), is difficult to distinguish from the author of these works of the writer Valery Popov. The main character of the story "The Mosquito Lives while He Sings" was the writer's father, an outstanding scientist-breeder Georgy Ivanovich Popov (1911–2005). The book tells about the last days of his life. At the same time, the author speaks openly about the most painful circumstances of the father's dying process. It is significant, however, that the sometimes shocking reliability of everyday and physiological details does not contradict the author's attitude to the symbolization and mythologization of an existential event. The article notes that if Valery Popov is a character, despite his status as a writer, completely immersed in the sphere of everyday life, then the world of Popov Sr. borders on a fabulous and mythological space.
