Acessibilidade e Acolhimento em Tempo de Pandemia
No full textSegundo dados da Diretoria de Acessibilidade da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (DIRAC/UFRJ), neste ano de 2020 temos cerca de 400 estudantes com deficiência em nossa instituição. Sendo assim, a UFRJ tem se debruçado em pensar cada vez mais ações para acolher e incluir esses alunos segundo a lei que os representa, que "institui a Lei Brasileira de Inclusão da Pessoa com Deficiência (Estatuto da Pessoa com Deficiência)" (Lei nº 13.146, de 6 de julho de 2015). De forma pioneira, a Sala de Acessibilidade da Faculdade de Letras (FL) foi criada em 2011 (hoje recebendo a denominação de Núcleo de Inclusão e Acessibilidade - NIA), com a incumbência de dar suporte acadêmico aos estudantes com qualquer especificidade funcional assim como a funcionários e professores da comunidade UFRJ. Com o passar dos anos, a política foi restringindo e direcionando para acolhimento e criação de estratégias pedagógicas apenas para alunos com deficiência que procuravam o NIA. Em 2020, ano marcado pela pandemia de COVID-19 – que atingiu o mundo inteiro, tendo se iniciado no Brasil em meados de fevereiro –, tivemos que pensar maneiras de realizar atividades diversas de forma segura para a população. E nesse momento de isolamento total, a equipe GT Pedagógico do NIA (que possui formação pedagógica, em psicopedagogia e em neuropsicopedagogia) sensibilizou de forma voluntária e criou estratégias para dar apoio e acolhimento aos alunos com deficiência e suas famílias neste momento tão difícil. Entendendo que esse trabalho teria uma importância muito maior durante uma pandemia, também foi oferecido aos servidores da FL e ao público externo, e ainda com a preocupação de manter o ambiente saudável para os pais dos alunos. Foram realizadas atividades de estimulação Cognitiva com recursos de redes sociais comuns a todos, e com linguagem simples e de maneira prazerosa, para um total de três turmas: atividades on-line baseadas em conhecimento nas funções executivas (FONSECA, 2013) cerebrais, base para o aprendizado, como atenção, percepção, planejamento, organização, controle dos impulsos, metacognição, flexibilidade e assim por diante. É essa atuação do GT Pedagógico do NIA/FL/UFRJ na pandemia e seus resultados que pretendemos apresentar. O princípio do desenvolvimento sustentável na imposição de barreiras climáticas unilaterais ao comércio internacional de bens
Get PDFDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Ciências Jurídicas, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direito, Florianópolis, 2013.O presente estudo se debruça sobre o intrincado conceito do desenvolvimento sustentável no plano do direito internacional, com o objetivo de posicioná-lo enquanto fonte deste ramo do direito, investigar seu conteúdo jurídico e, assim, seus efeitos nos ordenamentos do comércio internacional e das mudanças climáticas. Parte-se de sua evolução histórica e da análise jurisprudencial, a fim de demonstrar seus elementos preponderantes. Em um segundo momento, coteja-se suas características com as normas de direito internacional público para permitir a conclusão que se trata de um princípio de direito internacional. Seu conteúdo jurídico é de norma de integração, destinada a atrair a um mesmo caso concreto a aplicabilidade de diversos ordenamentos jurídicos, sempre com vistas à garantia da manutenção das bases naturais sobre as quais se sustenta a vida na Terra. A partir desse conceito, verifica-se que o princípio também está presente no âmbito do ordenamento jurídico do comércio internacional (de bens) bem como das mudanças climáticas, revelando que exerce uma força endógena e exógena sobre os ordenamentos. O ponto chave de sua atuação em ambos se dá no sentido de administrar conflitos entre a imposição de barreiras climáticas e o comércio internacional, enquanto aquelas são postas como exceções a este regime, notadamente as previstas nas alíneas (b) e (g) do artigo XX do GATT. Dentro desse dispositivo, o princípio internacional do desenvolvimento sustentável atua como elemento justificador para a imposição de tais restrições unilaterais, permitindo que sejam compatibilizados ambos os ordenamentos jurídicos com vistas a permitir a continuidade da vida na Terra por meio da preservação do sistema climático sem que se implique em uma negativa de vigência aos princípios do livre comércio.Abstract : The present addresses over the intricate concept of sustainable development in the field of international law, with the objective of frame it between the sources of this branch of law, investigate its legal content and, then, its effects both in the field of world trade organization and in climate change law. The study begins from the historical evolution and jurisprudential analysis, in order to reveal its most important elements. In a second moment, collates its characteristics with the norms of public international law to allow the conclusion that it is a principle of international law. Its legal content is of a legal principle of integration, which acts in the sense of attracting to the same case the application of a wide range of legal orders (economic, environmental, social), with the scope of assure the maintenance of the natural basis that sustain life on Earth. From this concept, it is possible to verify that the principle also is present in WTO (of goods) and climate change juridical orders, what reveals that it acts in two ways over the legal regimes, in an endogenous and exogenous ones. The most relevant locus of principle's actuation in both systems is to deal with the conflict between the use of climate measures and the free trade principles of WTO law, as exceptions in the sense of article XX(b) and (g) of the GATT. Inside this norm, the international principle of sustainable development act to justify the imposition of this kind of unilateral restriction, allowing the compatibility of both legal systems in order to assure the maintenance of the natural basis that sustain life on Earth by the preservation of climate system without implying a violation of free trade principles
A global assessment of microplastic abundance and characteristics on marine turtle nesting beaches.
No full textSandy coastal beaches are an important nesting habitat for marine turtles and a known sink for plastic pollution. Existing methodologies for monitoring the spatiotemporal patterns of abundance and composition of plastic are, however, disparate. We engaged a global network of marine turtle scientists to implement a large-scale sampling effort to assess microplastic abundance in beach sediments on marine turtle nesting beaches. Sand samples were collected from 209 sites spanning six oceans, microplastics (1-5 mm) were extracted through stacked sieves, visually identified, and a sub-sample verified via Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. Microplastics were detected in 45 % (n = 94) of beaches and within five ocean basins. Microplastic presence and abundance was found to vary markedly within and among ocean basins, with the highest proportion of contaminated beaches found in the Mediterranean (80 %). Coleoptera of Brazil: what we knew then and what we know now. Insights from the Catálogo Taxonômico da Fauna do Brasil
Get PDFInternational audienceIn 2000, Cleide Costa published a paper presenting the state of knowledge of the Neotropical Coleopte ra, with a focus on the Brazilian fauna. Twenty-four years later, thanks to the development of the Coleoptera section of the Taxonomic Catalog of the Brazilian Fauna (CTFB - Catálogo Taxonômico da Fauna do Brasil) through the collaboration of 100 coleopterists from all over the globe, we can build on Costa's work and present an updated overview of the state of knowledge of the beetles from Brazil. There are currently 35,699 species in 4,958 genera and 116 families known to occur in the country, including representatives of all extant suborders and superfamilies. Our data show that the Brazilian beetle fauna is the richest on the planet, concentrating 9% of the world species diversity, with some estimates accounting to up to 15% of the global total. The most diverse family in numbers of genera is Cerambycidae (1,056 genera), while in number of species it is Chrysomelidae (6,079 species). Conotrachelus Dejean, 1835 (Curculionidae) is the most species-rich genus, with 570 species. The French entomologist Maurice Pic is the author who has contributed the most to the naming of species recorded from Brazil, with 1,794 valid names in 36 families, whereas the Brazilians Ubirajara R. Martins and Maria Helena M. Galileo are the only ones among the top-ten authors to have named species in the 21st century. Currently, approximately 144 new species of Brazilian beetles are described each year, and this average is projected to increase in the next decade to 180 species per year, or about one new Brazilian beetle every two days
Artes de canto (1492-1626) y mujeres en la cultura musical del mundo ibérico renacentista
Get PDF[spa] Esta Tesis Doctoral explora la cultura musical del mundo ibérico renacentista a través del estudio de artes de canto en lengua vernácula impresas entre 1492 y 1626 y de su relación con las mujeres de la época. La Tesis consta de siete capítulos, estructurados en dos partes (Vol. I), y de veinte apéndices (Vol. II). La primera parte (Capítulos I al IV) muestra que las características por las que estos libros que contenían los rudimentos de la música han sido infravalorados hasta ahora por la historiografía musical son precisamente las mismas que demuestran que respondían a una necesidad pedagógica y a la demanda de manuales asequibles, breves y prácticos por parte de un amplio mercado. Las artes de canto se imprimieron en tiradas de miles de ejemplares y eran vendidas a bajo precio, tuvieron una enorme circulación en la Península Ibérica y el Nuevo Mundo, y contribuyeron al incremento y la difusión de la educación musical en contextos educativos diferenciados (la iglesia, la universidad y el ámbito privado), así como entre grupos sociales hasta entonces excluidos del aprendizaje de los fundamentos de la música. El Arte de canto llano (Sevilla, 1530) de Juan Martínez emerge como el tratado de música del mundo hispánico más difundido geográfica y cronológicamente en el siglo XVI e inicios del XVII, pero del que casi nada se sabía. En la segunda parte (Capítulos V al VII), las conexiones entre estos libros de música y mujeres muestran que las áreas de superposición entre lo privado y lo público y entre lo oral y lo escrito permiten desafiar la invisibilidad de las mujeres en documentos históricos y vislumbrar trazas no sólo de la cultura musical de las mujeres de la época, sino también de la importancia de la música en la vida cotidiana. Se utiliza una diversidad de fuentes (artes de canto, libros de conducta, documentos inquisitoriales, literatura, correspondencia e inventarios de bienes, entre otras), a través de las cuales se ha podido documentar la relación con la música de, entre otras, Catalina de Zúñiga, VI Condesa de Lemos, Isabel de Plazaola, e Isabel de Aragón, IV Duquesa del Infantado. Empleando metodologías de la musicología tradicional junto a otras tomadas de los historiadores del libro y de la cultura popular, esta Tesis Doctoral presenta una panorámica de la vida musical de la época a través del prisma de doble alteridad que supone el estudio de las artes de canto, generalmente consideradas carentes de interés, y de su relación con las mujeres, insuficientemente representadas en la historiografía musical.[eng] This dissertation explores the musical culture of the Renaissance Iberian world through both the study of small-format treatises in the vernacular containing the rudiments of music –known as artes de canto– printed between 1492 and 1626, and the nexuses between them and women. The dissertation consists of seven chapters, structured into two parts (Volume I), and twenty appendixes (Volume II). Part I (Chapters I to IV) shows that the arte de canto, until now generally overlooked or undervalued in music historiography, was produced in print runs of thousands of copies and sold for a low price; it had a broad circulation in the Iberian Peninsula and the New World, contributing to the spread of musical literacy in distinct didactic contexts (churches, universities, private settings) and among social groups until then excluded from learning the rudiments of music. The little known Juan Martínez’s Arte de canto llano (Seville, 1530) emerges as the most circulated music book in the Hispanic world during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The aim of Part II (Chapters V to VII) is to approach the musical life of the sixteenth-century Iberian world through the exploration of women’s contributions, thus broadening the field of historical research. The study of some connections between music books and women shows that the points of overlap between the private and the public spheres, on the one hand, and the written and the oral music transmission, on the other hand, not only make women’s musical practices visible, but also offer new vistas on the popular culture of the age. Through a variety of source materials (artes de canto, conduct manuals, Inquisition records, literature, letters and inventories of goods, among others) it has been possible to document the musical activities of women such as Catalina de Zúñiga, VI Countess of Lemos, Isabel de Plazaola, and Isabel de Aragón, IV Duchess of the Infantado. Combining methodologies from traditional musicology with those borrowed from book history and popular culture, this dissertation analyzes music in the culture of the Renaissance Iberian world through the prism of double Otherness involved in studying the ‘other’ music books –that is the undervalued artes de canto– and their connections to women of that period

Get PDFA search for narrow, high-mass resonances decaying to electron or muon pairs has been performed using pp collision data collected at s=7TeV by the CMS experiment in 2011. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of approximately 5 fb -1. The event yields observed in the signal regions are consistent with predictions of the standard model backgrounds, and upper limits on the cross section times branching fraction for a resonance decaying to dileptons are extracted from a shape analysis of the dilepton invariant mass distribution. The resulting mass limits at 95% confidence level are 2330 GeV for the Z ' in the Sequential Standard Model, 2000 GeV for the superstring-inspired Z ψ ' resonance, 890 (540) GeV for the Stueckelberg extension Z St ' with the mass parameter ε=0.06 (0.04), and 2140 (1810) GeV for Kaluza-Klein gravitons with the coupling parameter k/M- Pl of 0.10 (0.05).
