No full textThis video titled, "The Early Show- CBS: Isabella Cannon Interview" was conducted by Bryant Gumbel on May 20, 2000 in front of the Fonville Fountain on Scott Plaza. This video file was recorded off-air at Elon College. Cannon was the keynote speaker for the Class of 2000. There was video of the 96 years young, Isabella Cannon, walking to the Elon College Commencement podium with Leo Lambert and Gerald (Gerry) Francis holding her arm. Cannon was an Elon College Alumna. "Cannon"s Early Show" comments included: informed the students to be ready for surprises and opening the graduate"s minds for the opportunities. Cannon informed the audience that she was a teacher, bank cashier, lived overseas, met with United States Presidents and Prime Ministers, and elected the Raleigh, North Carolina Mayor at 73 years old. Photographs were seen of Cannon as Mayor of Raleigh, North Carolina on November 12, 1977. Cannon was the first woman mayor in any United States capital city. Cannon spoke of students and the wonderful changes in technology. Gumbel asked Cannon why she was not slowing down. Cannon responded, "I am active, why slow down." Gumbel asked Cannon if she had any regrets. She mentioned if she could have attended law school in the 1920s, she would have done so. The audience can hear the Elon traditional train whistle during an interview Gumbel question. The last question was about the world being a better or worst place. Cannon said, "I am sorry, the train is rolling through and can you repeat the question." With great enthusiasm, Cannon stated, "The world is a much better place."

Faillissementen: oorzaken en schulden 2015
Full text linkThis report contains the results of a study on debts and causes of bankruptcies that were finalized in 2015. The study was conducted by Statistics Netherlands and commissioned by the Scientific Research and Documentation Centre of the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice. The methodology used in the study is similar to that used in earlier CBS-studies on debts and causes of finalized bankruptcies. An important difference with the previous studies conducted by Statistics Netherlands is that not every bankruptcy was investigated. Instead, a stratified random sample was used, except for ‘businesses and other organisations’ employing more than hundred persons. In the latter case all bankruptcies were investigated. The results of this research remain fully comparable with the results obtained in previously conducted studies by Statistics Netherlands. Index Het onderzoek is een vervolg op en actualisering van het CBS-onderzoek 'Faillissementen; oorzaken en schulden’ door Boer en Lalta uit 2011, zodat de resultaten kunnen worden vergeleken met de cijfers van het CBS over de jaren 2004, 2006, 2008 en 2010. In dit rapport zijn de resultaten beschreven van een onderzoek naar de oorzaken en schulden van in 2015beëindigde faillissementen. De opzet van het onderzoek is zoveel mogelijk vergelijkbaar gehouden met die van eerdere CBS-studies naar oorzaken en schulden van beëindigdefaillissementen. Een belangrijk verschil met de voorgaande CBS-onderzoeken is dat voor zowel ‘bedrijven en instellingen’ als voor natuurlijke personen een gestratificeerde aselecte steekproef is toegepast, met uitzondering van ‘bedrijven en instellingen’ met meer dan 100 werkzame personen; deze zijn alle onderzocht. In het onderzoek is gekeken naar de arbeidsomstandigheden en gezondheid van de werknemers van 2019 gedurende de corona pandemie. Daarbij worden drie groepen onderscheiden: werknemers op locatie, thuiswerkers en niet werkenden. Het bestand bevat de data van de baseline NEA meting (2019) en de vervolgmetingen van 2020 (juli en oktober) en 2021 (maart en november)
