Introduction to unified mechanics theory with applications

    No full text
This text describes the mathematical formulation and proof of the unified mechanics theory (UMT) which is based on the unification of Newton’s laws and the laws of thermodynamics. It also presents formulations and experimental verifications of the theory for thermal, mechanical, electrical, corrosion, chemical and fatigue loads, and it discusses why the original universal laws of motion proposed by Isaac Newton in 1687 are incomplete. The author provides concrete examples, such as how Newton’s second law, F = ma, gives the initial acceleration of a soccer ball kicked by a player, but does not tell us how and when the ball would come to a stop. Over the course of Introduction to Unified Mechanics Theory, Dr. Basaran illustrates that Newtonian mechanics does not account for the thermodynamic changes happening in a system over its usable lifetime. And in this context, this book explains how to design a system to perform its intended functions safely over its usable life time and predicts the expected lifetime of the system without using empirical models, a process currently done using Newtonian mechanics and empirical degradation/failure/fatigue models which are curve-fit to test data. Written as a textbook suitable for upper-level undergraduate mechanics courses, as well as first year graduate level courses, this book is the result of over 25 years of scientific activity with the contribution of dozens of scientists from around the world including USA, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Spain, China, India and U.K. Presents engineering mechanics through explanation of the unified mechanics theory with extensive experimental validation and finite element implementation using real world examples Draws the connections to the thermodynamics of degradation in solids from mathematical and microstructural perspective Discusses shortcomings and incompleteness of Newton’s universal laws of motion Posits why the space-time coordinate system is insufficient to describe organic and inorganic systems and modifies Newtonian space-time with introduction of an additional axis (Thermodynamic State Index axis)

Anahtar Sözcükler: Cemal Şakar, 1980 Kuşağı, Arayış, İslâm Coğrafyası, Tematik İncelemeCemal Şakar, who is one of the narrator of 1980 generation, involved in our literature with his stories, essays and review works. In this study, the statue of the author was tried to determine in Turkish narration reviewing his stories profoundly in terms of their themes. The author whom we examined his stories under the topic of individual and social themes, dealth with individual themes in his first five publications. In his stories, the dominant theme was "quest". With his story "Sular Tutuştuğunda", which was published in 2010, the author started to include social themes in his stories as well as individual themes. The cruelty and giref in Islamic geography and the people who try to survive under bad conditions on the street constitute the main base of the social themes. Key Words: Cemal Şakar, Generation of 1980, The quest, Islamic Geography, Thematic Revie

Osman Cemal Kaygılı is an author of Istanbul. In his stories and novels entertaintment, rather dark side streets are described district historical and cultural fabric of Istanbul . Osman Cemal is one of the artists who can describe Istanbul's reflection of the neighborhood vitality of all life. Outside of the fictional text Osman Cemal in magazines and newspapers about the republic Istanbul before taking account of colour suprisingly interesting observations. The writer is one of the researchers of folk culture and Semai Kahveleri which disappeared after II.Mesrutiyet . In this article we will work to fix how his works reflected in Istanbul and trace dailylife and folk culture of old Istanbul in articles in periodicals

Koç, Cemal (Dogus Author) -- Esin, Songül (Dogus Author)In this paper we describe annihilators of principal ideals of exterior algebras. For odd elements we establish formulae for dimensions of their principal ideals and their annihilators. For even elements we exhibit (multiplicative) generators for annihilator ideals

Entropy Based Fatigue, Fracture, Failure Prediction and Structural Health Monitoring

Traditionally fatigue, fracture, damage mechanics are predictions are based on empirical curve fitting models based on experimental data. However, when entropy is used as the metric for degradation of the material, the modeling process becomes physics based rather than empirical modeling. Because, entropy generation in a material can be calculated from the fundamental equation of thematerial. This collection of manuscripts is about using entropy for "Fatigue, Fracture, Failure Prediction and Structural Health Monitoring". The theoretical paper in the collection provides the mathematical and physics framework behind the unified mechanics theory, which unifies universal laws of motion of Newton and laws of thermodynamics at ab-initio level. Unified Mechanics introduces an additional axis called, Thermodynamic State Index axis which is linearly independent from Newtonian space x, y, z and time. As a result, derivative of displacement with respect to entropy is not zero, in unified mechanics theory, as in Newtonian mechanics. Any material is treated as a thermodynamic system and fundamental equation of the material is derived. Fundamental equation defines entropy generation rate in the system. Experimental papers in the collection prove validity of using entropy as a stable metric for Fatigue, Fracture, Failure Prediction and Structural Health Monitoring

Archetypical critic theory is a critic theory by Carl Gustav Jung about human behaviours deriving from the unconscious. In his archetypical critique Bu makale, İkinci Yeni Şiirine Arketipsel Sembolizm Açısından Bir Yaklaşımbaşlıklı doktora tezinden üretilmiştir.134 Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Dergisi The Journal of Social Sciences Institutetheory, Jung suggests that there are coded behaviours in human mind from the existence since now. He explains the behaviours by archetypes. This archetypical critique of Jung has been accepted and used on the studies. Literary types such as, tales, epic poems, novels, poems are studied in a different prospective by archetypical critique theory. Archetypical studies are also among the compelling studies in Turkish literature. By this perspective, while a work is studied it might not seen independent from the life of author. One of the prominent themes in Cemal Süreya’s poems is women. It is seems that women is prominent with the archetypes of mother, Virgin Mary, Love, Sexuality Women Archetype in Cemal Süreya poems, shows a parallelism with his perspective of women. In Cemal Süreya poems, evaluating women archetypically shows us that woman is read differently in his poems.</p
