No full textDarbe yra recenzuojama Wojciecho Walczako ir Karolio Łopateckio sudaryta knyga, kurioje yra publikuojamas Jano Kunowskio – bajoriškos kilmės kario, diplomato bei poeto – rankraštinis tekstas apie 1621 m. įvykusią ekspediciją į Livoniją, kuomet Švedijos karaliaus Gustavo II Adolfo puolimas Livonijoje Abiejų Tautų Respublikai turėjo lemtingų ir katastrofiškų pasekmių. Daugiausia dėmesio rankraštyje skiriama Rygos apsiausties aprašymui, LDK lauko etmono Kristupo Radvilos išbandymui gelbstint miestą nuo apsiausties bei Lietuvos referendoriaus Aleksandro Korvino Gosievskio žygiui į Kokenhauzą. Šis tekstas, saugomas Nacionaliniame Švedijos archyve (Riksarkivet) Stokholme, iki šiol nebuvo žinomas. Recenzijos autorius pažymi, kad knygos sudarytojai neskaitant gana trumpo Jano Kunowskio rankraštinio teksto, be kita ko parašė didelės apimties įvadą ir pateikė dar daugiau priedų. Autorius atkreipia dėmesį ir į tai, kad leidinyje yra pateikiamos iliustracijos, šaltinių tekste randamų Livonijos vietovardžių sąrašas, rinktinis senąja lenkų kalba parašytų išsireiškimų žodynėlis, o leidinio pabaigoje taip pat pateikiamos vardų bei vietovardžių rodyklės. Mariuszas Balcerekas kritikuoja leidinio sudarytojus dėl nepakankamai preciziško vietovardžių sąrašo sudarymo, dėl platesnio Smolensko kautynių nenušvietimo bei Aleksandro Korvino Gosievskio biografijos nepristatymo, tačiau pripažįsta, kad šis leidinys yra vertingas indėlis į istoriografiją, nušviečiančią karo su švedais peripetijas. Reikšminiai žodžiai: 1621; 1621 m. ekspedicija; Aleksandras Korvinas Gosievskis; Livonija (Livonia); Švedija (Sweden); Žygis; 1621; Alexander Korwin Gosiewski; An expedition of 1621; Campaign; Livonia; SwedenThe project reviews a book compiled by Wojciech Walczak and Karol Łopatecki, in which manuscript of Jan Kunowski, noble soldier, diplomat and poet is published about expedition of 1621 to Livonia, where attack by King of Sweden Gustavus Adolfus in Livonia had fatal and catastrophic consequences for the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Major attention in the manuscript is focused on Riga siege description, attempts by Field Hetman of Grand Duchy of Lithuania Krzysztof Radziwiłł in rescuing the city from the siege and march of Lithuanian Referendary Aleksander Korwin Gosiewski to Kockenhausen. This text stored in the National Archives of Sweden (Risarkivet) in Stockholm was unknown until now. The reviewer notes that the book authors, in addition to quite short manuscript of Jan Kunowski, also wrote quite extensive introduction and enclosed many more annexes. The author notes that the publication contains illustrations, the list of places names in Livonia, selected dictionary of expressions in the old Polish language are found in the text of the sources, while the publication also has indices of names and name places in the end. Mariusz Balcerek criticises publication authors for failing to draw sufficiently precise list of place names, to give broader coverage of Smolensk Battle and to present biography of Aleksander Korwin Gosiewski, but admits that the publication is a valuable contribution into historiography covering collisions of the war against Sweden

Book. Media “ took place at the Collegium Humanisticum of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (hereinafter: UMK) Its organizer was the PhD Student Scientific Circle ePRINT, operating at the Institute of Information Science and Bibliology of Nicolaus Copernicus University. Research method: The author participated in the symposium sessions, listening to all speeches, additionally asking questions during the discussion. Results/Conclusions: The conference is a great initiative for young scientists, who thanks to it can test their skills in this type of activity; it was the fourth edition of this congress. Unfortunately, the overall positive impression was spoilt by a few speeches of low quality that should not have been allowed to be delivered

No full textThe article encompasses an attempt to frame the idea of nomadism and recreate the geopoetical trend in Mariusz Wilk’s work. As far as the idea of nomadism is concerned, a crucial role is played by ‘the nomad writer’ Kenneth White, the author of La Route Bleue and the creator of the term of ‘intellectual nomadism’. Mariusz Wilk holds Ken-neth White’s work in high regard. While White’s deliberations are an inspiration for the author of Tropami rena. Wilk devotes his attention to other ‘nomad writers’ – Bruce Chatwin, Wasilij Golowanow, Henry Miller, Li Bo and others. In his journals the author of Lotem gęsi analyses the works and attitudes of writers who can be described as ‘the poets of the Road’ because following the Road, as well as pondering over it and writing about it is a significant issue in his work
