Watering is the most importance cultural practice and most labor intensive task in daily greenhouse operation. Watering system ease the burden of getting water to plants when they need it. Knowing when and how much water is importance aspect of watering processes. To make the gardener work easily , the automatic plants watering system is created. This project uses automatic plant that will pour in post. This project uses Arduino board , which consists A Tmega328 Microcontroller. It is program in such way that it will sense the moisture level of the plants and supply the water if required. This type of system is often used for general plants care as part of caring for small and large gardens. Normally the plants need to be watered twice daily, morning and evening. So the microcontroller has to be coded to water the plants the plants in the greenhouse about two times per day. People enjoy plants, their benefits and the feeling related nurturing them. To accommodate this challenge we have develop a prototype which make plants more self-sufficient, watering itself from a large water tank and provide itself with artificial sunlight. This project was made success. It can functional as Automatic watering system and can watering the plant at pot 1 also pot 2

Practical training is the medium for the students to apply the knowledge they gain in the classroom to be apply in the real job situation. This is to help the student to be more prepared in working environment after finish their studies. Faculty Computer and Mathematical Sciences (FSKM) still does not have any web-based system to handle or manage their practical student efficiently. They still using the manual paper-based form and student need to write their practical report in a paper based. So, the author will develop and design the student practical online application system (SPOA) by using user-cantered design (UCD) as the guideline and evaluate the usability of the system according to the user perspective. The UCD process is an iterative process which is after the SPOA system prototype been completed, the prototype will be evaluated and if there is any usability problem discover, the problem will be fixed and evaluated again until the system is ease to use. The UCD process has four phases that being used in this project which are understand user need, establish requirement, prototyping alternative designs and evaluate designs. The outcome of this project is the usability testing result and the comparison from using manual system and by using web-based automated system. Last but not least, there is only a few usability problem been discover by the usability testing participants and the participants agree that using web-based Student Practical Online Application System (SPOA) more facilitate the practical training process in the future. For future enhancement, this system can be enhanced by expending the scope and target area of the research. Instead of focusing on student from one faculty, this system can be introduce to others faculty in UiTM

Terrorism and conspiracy theory are popular topics in the narrative of modern literary works. Creating a literary narrative in a literary work requires both intrinsic elements and extrinsic elements. The intrinsic elements in a literary narrative lies within the literary work itself while extrinsic elements are influenced by outside forces. This study aims to analyze the extrinsic elements and establish the author’s worldview regarding terrorism and conspiracy theory inside the novel Deus Ex: Black Light by the author, James Swallow. In addition, this study also aims to find representations of the author’s worldview in society to determine its relevancy within the real world. This study uses Lucien Goldmann’s Genetic Structuralism, the Psychology of Terrorism by Randy Borum, and the Psychology of Conspiracy Theory by Jan Willem van Prooijen. Using Genetic Structuralism, this study collected 10 data from the novel and establishes 9 author’s worldviews from the 10 data, with 5 data used as a basis for 4 author’s worldviews regarding terrorism and another 5 data used as a basis for 5 author’s worldviews regarding conspiracy theory. All 9 author’s worldviews have their own real cases to represent their presence in society, correlating the narrative of the novel with society. The relevancy of the author’s worldview in society is also determined, with most of them being relevant in recent years with most cases representing the author’s worldview being no older than 10 years old

Objective: To report a case of keloid formation after circumcision and review the literature for similar cases to formulate possible risk factors contributing to its development as well as its treatment options. Method: a literature review was done using PubMed and Google Scholar by searching the keyword “keloid”, “penis” and “circumcision”. Additional searches were done on references from related articles. The articles are then reviewed by the author, noting for possible predisposing factors to keloid formation, along with patient demographics and method of treatments. Findings were then tabulated and analyzed using Microsoft Excel (2018). Results: Thirteen case reports on penile keloid after circumcision with a total of 16 patients were found dating from 1993 to 2017. Circumcision in four cases (25%) were complicated with infection or dehiscence. The median age during circumcision is 9 years old. Two patients (12.5%) were reported with the tendency for keloid. The ethnicity of the patients is as follows; Turkish (7 cases, 43.7%), African descent (4 cases, 25%), Chinese (3 cases, 18.75%), Indian (1 case 6.25%) and Caucasian (1 case, 6.25%). Ten (62.5%) cases were treated with a combination of excision and immediate injection of triamcinolone acetate. Others were treated with either excision alone, steroid injection alone or excision with topical steroid. Maintenance treatment includes topical steroid, intralesional injection of steroid, and silicone gel. Recurrence occurred in one patient. Conclusion: The minuscule number of published reports of keloid formation after circumcision underscores the rarity of the complication. No specific risk factors can be attributed to stratify patients who may develop keloid after circumcision. Excision followed by triamcinolone acetate injection with maintenance therapy until scar maturity is the preferred choice of treatment for penile keloid

Sufism has developed in the Islamic world since the 2nd century Hijriah. Many of the companions and tabi'in figures were Sufism groups, including Abu Ubaidah Al-Jarrah, Abu Dzar Al-Ghifari, Salman Al-Farisi, Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud, and many more. Initially Sufism emerged as a criticism of various problems that occur in life. Whether it was the aristocratic love of wealth, or the endless debates of religious scholars on trivial matters. So there are some groups who want to stay away from worldly problems to be alone and get closer to Allah SWT. Their initial intentions were good. But over time, with the mixing of cultures, traditions, and thoughts from non-Arab civilizations, the practice of Sufism began to change. No longer running in accordance with Islamic law, and even began to deviate far. The result is a mistaken view of Sufism. So in this paper, the author wants to try to explain the concept of 'modern Sufism' which was initiated by Hamka and to give it a difference from the concept of classical Sufism. With the library research method, the authors found that there was a new principle in the Hamka concept. He no longer thinks that Sufism is away from the world and draws closer to Allah alone, but even as an approach to Allah without leaving the world.

Optimisation of alginate-pectin bead formulation using central composite design guided electrospray technique

    No full text
Alginate-pectin beads act as a carrier in improving the oral bioavailability of bioactive compounds. Electrospray technique facilitates the production of uniform size and shape of alginate-pectin beads. Interaction between key electrospray process parameters affects the size and shape of the beads. A proper model should be employed to establish these correlating interactions. In this study, the electrospray technique was guided with a central composite design (CCD) and response surface methodology (RSM). One quadratic and one linear model were obtained for size and the sphericity coefficient, respectively. The CCD-RSM empirical model derived from this study is essential to determine significant factors and their levels in producing beads with consistent size and sphericity coefficient. The results indicate that the applied voltage has the most significant influence on size, while the alginate-pectin concentration is the most prominent factor in producing spherical beads. The quite spherical beads with a minimum size of 2.97 mm were obtained at an alginate-pectin concentration of 3.5%, a flow rate of 10.0mL/h, an applied voltage of 2.4 kV, and a distance between the nozzle and the gelation bath of 16.0 cm
