    Garut ram is one of good comodity of the livestock, but still traditional management systems. This is a delimiter in garut ram heir superior quality. Semen preservation in several extender can be as choice to maintain genetic superior of garut ram. Semen quality itself affected by the nutrient factors contained in the waste bean sprouts and Indigofera sp such as protein and vitamin E, which is capable of affecting the quality of spermatozoa in garut ram. The research was aimed to study the influence of feeding with 30% waste bean sprouts and 30% Indigofera sp on sperm quality in the tris egg yolk extender. Semen sample were collected from 4 garut male with age around 11 months were two garut ram was fed with limbah tauge and two garut ram was fed with Indigofera sp. Collected semen were diluted in tris egg yolk extender and stored at refrigerator 5 oC until fifth days. Parameter of semen quality was analyzed as follow: for the colour, consistency, pH, volume semen and sperm mass movement were expressed with descriptively analysis. Concentration and cytoplasmic droplet were tested by T-Test analysis. Sperm motility, sperm viability, integrity of sperm plasma membrane and sperm secondary abnormality were analyzed using Completely Randomized Design Factorial (2x5). The first factor was fed (waste bean sprouts and Indigofera sp) and the second factor was storage time (day 1st,2st,3st,4st and 5st). Data was analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan test to observed the different between treatments. Result of the experiment showed descriptively: colour, concistency and semen pH in all treatment have same quality. Semen volume were collected from garut ram with fed waste bean sprouts better than with fed Indigofera sp, whereas sperm mass movement with fed Indigofera sp better than with fed waste bean sprouts. T-test analyzed showed all treatment were not significant different (P>0,05) to sperm concentration and cytoplasmic droplet. Analysis of Variance showed sperm motility in all treatment were not significant different (P>0,05) whereas in first and second days storage significant better than after third storage (>40%). Such as with sperm viability and integrity of sperm plasma membrane were significant maintaint until fourth storage with percentage (>60% and >50%). Percentage sperm secondary abnormality in treatment with fed Indigofera sp significant better than treatment with fed waste bean sprouts. It can be summarized that all treatment were not influence to sperm quality garut ram 11 years old, but storage time influential to sperm motility, sperm viability, and integrity of sperm plasma membrane.     This Earth of Mankind reveals a dictatorship between bourgeoisies toward proletariat.The border of discussion regarding the bourgeoises is limited to the Dutch men, the Mellemas while the proletariat is a native Javanese, Nyai Ontosoroh who is a mistress of Herman Mellema. The bourgeoises have full of authorization and on contrast, the pproletariat was less authoritative. This Earth of Mankind exposes the class struggles of the bourgeoisie in maintaining the dictatorship and the proletariat in eliminating the dictatorship. Furthermore, both classes described as figures of different folk, the bourgeoisie and the proletariat in which each shows their struggle in a dictatorship, especially in guarding and destroying dictatorship. Attempting to answer the question “how both major characters are depicted to attain the class struggle in maintaining and eliminating dictatorship” the discussion is focusing on the struggles of Herman Mellema as the representative of the bourgeoises and Nyai Ontosoroh as the representative of the proletariat.. This study used Marxist theory about the class struggle by Karl Marx and Frederic Engel.     Selective Hydrogenation of Biomass-derived Furfural over Supported Ni3Sn2 Alloy: Role of Supports

    A highly active and selective hydrogenation of biomass-derived furfural into furfuryl alcohol was achieved using supported single phase Ni3Sn2 alloy catalysts. Various supports such as active carbon (AC), -Al2O3, Al(OH)3, ZnO, TiO2, ZrO2, MgO, Li-TN, and SiO2 have been employed in order to under- stand the role of the support on the formation of Ni3Sn2 alloy phase and its catalytic performance. Sup- ported Ni3Sn2 alloy catalysts were synthesised via a simple hydrothermal treatment of the mixture of aqueous solution of nickel chloride hexahydrate and ethanol solution of tin(II) chloride dihydrate in presence of ethylene glycol at 423 K for 24 h followed by H2 treatment at 673 K for 1.5 h, then charac- terised by using ICP-AES, XRD, H2- and N2-adsorption. XRD profiles of samples showed that the Ni3Sn2 alloy phases are readily formed during hydrothermal processes and become clearly observed at 2θ = 43-44o after H2 treatment. The presence of Ni3Sn2 alloy species that dispersed on the supports is believed to play a key role in highly active and selective hydrogenation of biomass-derived furfural to- wards furfuryl alcohol. Ni3Sn2 on TiO2 and ZnO supports exhibited much lower reaction temperature to achieved >99% yield of furfuryl alcohol product compared with other supports. The effects of loading amount of Ni-Sn, reaction conditions (temperature and time profile) on the activity and selectivity to- wards the desired product are systematically discussed.     One-pot Selective Conversion of Biomass-derived Furfural into Cyclopentanone/Cyclopentanol over TiO2 supported bimetallic Ni-M (M = Co, Fe) Catalysts

    One-pot selective conversion of biomass-derived furfural (FFald) into cyclopentanone (CPO) or cyclopentanol (CPL) using bimetallic nickel-based supported on TiO2 (denoted as Ni-M(3.0)/TiO2; M = Co and Fe; 3.0 is Ni/M molar ratio) have been investigated. Catalysts were synthesized via a hydrothermal method at 150⁰C for 24 h, followed by H2 reduction at 450⁰C for 1.5 h. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) showed that the formation of Ni-Co alloy phase at 2θ = 44.2⁰ for Ni-Co(3.0)/TiO2 and Ni-Fe alloy at 2θ = 44.1⁰ for Ni-Fe(3.0)/TiO2. The amount of acid sites was measured by using ammonia-temperature programmed desorption (NH3-TPD). Ni-Co(3.0)/TiO2 has three NH3 desorption peaks at 180⁰C, 353⁰C, and 569⁰C with acid site amounts of 1.30 μmolg1, 1.0 μmolg1, and 2.0 μmolg1, respectively. On the other hand, Ni-Fe(3.0)/TiO2 consisted of NH3 desorption peaks at 214⁰C and 626⁰C with acid site amounts of 3.3 μmolg1 and 2.0 μmolg1, respectively. Both Ni-Co(3.0)/TiO2 and Ni-Fe(3.0)/TiO2 catalysts were found to be active for the selective hydrogenation of FFald to furfuryl alcohol (FFalc) at low temperature of 110⁰C, H2 3.0 MPa, 3 h with FFalc selectivity of 81.1% and 82.9%, respectively. High yields of CPO (27.2%) and CPL (41.0%) were achieved upon Ni-Fe(3.0)/TiO2 when the reaction temperature was increased to 170⁰C, 3.0 MPa of H2, and a reaction time of 6 h. The yield of CPO+CPL on the reused catalyst decreased slightly after the second reaction run, but the activity was maintained for at least three consecutive runs.     Penelitian mengenai jamur yang dapat digunakan sebagai ohat terus meningkat. Saat ini telah banyak dilakukan isolasi dan uji hayati senyawa bioaktif dari sumber daya hayati tertentu. Pemanfaatan jamur berpotensi obat ini bahkan telah digunakan dalam skala industri, salah satunya adalah Ganoderma Illeidum. Ekstraksi dalam jumlah besar ini telah menghasilkan limbah G, lucidum. Limbah yang dimaksud adalah limbah ekstrak air tubuh buah G. lucidllm. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan ekstraksi, pemisahan, dan pengamatan terhadap potensi bioaktivitas dari limbah ekstrak air tubuh buah G. luciduJ11. Pengamatan potensi bioaktivitas didasarkan pada LC50 menggunakan larva udang (Artemia salina Leach.). Alkaloid diekstraksi dengan metanol, diasamkan dengan a5am asetat 5% sampai pH 3-4, lalu diekstraksi dengan eter. Lapisan air dibasakan dengan penambahan amonium hidroksida sampai pH 8-9 selanjutnya diekstraksi dengan klorofom1. Terpenoid diekstraksi dengan metanol 90%, dibasakan dengan natrium karbonat 5% sampai pH 9, lalu diekstraksi dengan kloroform. Lapisan air diasamkan dengan dengan asam suI fat 4 N sampai pH 2 selanjutnya diekstraksi dengan kloroform. Flavonoid diekstraksi dengan diklorometana. Ekstrak flavonoid dipisahkan lebih lanjut dengan kromatografi kolom silika gel 60 dengan elusi bergradien (heksano, heksana-kloroform, kloroform, kloroform-etil asetat, etil asetat, etil asetat-metanol, dan metanol)

    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang skrining fitokimia dan uji toksisitas ekstrak n-heksana dan metanol dari daun kelopak tambahan tumbuhan permot (Passiflora foetida L). Skrining fitokimia dilakukan berdasarkan uji kualitatif dengan pereaksi spesifik untuk fitokimia tertentu dan uji toksisitas dilakukan berdasarkan metode BSLT (Brine Shrimps Lethality Test). Hasil penelitian tentang skrining fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak n-heksana mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, dan steroid sedangkan ekstrak metanol mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, triterpenoid, steroid, dan saponin. Uji toksisitas memperlihatkan bahwa ekstrak metanol lebih toksik (LC50 546,56 ppm) daripada ekstrak n-heksana (LC50 821,41 ppm)

This study was made to analyze and find out how a girl struggles to get a better life for herself and her family. The implication of this research is to provide further information, description, and understanding of women's struggles. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method and focuses on Virginia Woolf's theory. The data used is data from novels, including sentences and paragraphs.     The identification of chemical compounds in Nipah (Nypa fruticans Wurmb) endosperm has been done. The extraction of chemical compounds in Nipah endosperm has been done using the maceration method with heating and followed with absorbs-desorbs on active carbon given ethanol fraction. The result obtained was a brownish-yellow fraction. The phytochemical screening test did on endosperm and ethanol fraction. Phytochemical screening results showed that the Nipah endosperm contains phenolic, tannin, flavonoid, and saponin compounds, while the ethanol fraction of Nipah endosperm did not contain alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid, triterpenoid, phenolic, tannin, and saponin compounds. Based on UV-vis, IR, and GCMS spectra, the ethanol fraction contains of furfural compounds
