at SMPN 3 belopa”. A thesis of The English Department Study Program
of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of State Islamic Institute of
Palopo. Supervised by: Jufriadi, Muhammad Iksan.
The purpose of this research was to find out whether or not the
implementation of image story media effective to improve students’
speaking skill at SMPN 3 BELOPA. This research classified as pre�experimental method and conducted for four meetings. The instruments of the
research were a pretest, and posttest. The population of the research was the 8th
grade of SMPN 3 Belopa. The actual number of population of the research were
160 for the five classes. The research used a purposive sampling technique
because this sample class was very low class in teaching speaking. Moreover, the
total sample were 25 students in class VIII.3. The result of the research shows
that the use of image story media is effective in improving students’ speaking
skills at the SMPN 3 BELOPA. It is shown that the tₒ( tcount) was higher than
(ttable) as follow 25.642 >2.064. It means that H1 was accepted and H0 rejected.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Manajemen Bisnis Syariah Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam Institut
Agama Islam Negeri Palopo. Dibimbing oleh Nurul Khairani Abduh.
Strategi bisnis bertujuan untuk mencapai tujuan jangka panjang dan
menemukan posisi usaha/bisnis, sehingga usaha/bisnis tersebut dapat bertahan
dari tekanan yang semakin ketat di dunia bisnis. Oleh sebab itu penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi bisnis busana Muslim berdasarkan analisis
SWOT (Strenghts, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) di Erba Shope.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik
pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi dan
dokumentasi terhadap owner dan beberapa konsumen Erba Shope. Dalam
menguji validitas data, penulis menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan metode.
Kemudian dilakukan analisis SWOT dan di matrikskan serta dibuat juga dalam
bentuk kuadran sehingga dapat menghasilkan beberapa alternatif dalam
mengembangkan strategi bisnis dan mengetahui posisi Erba Shope saat ini.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kekuatan (strengths)
yaitu tersedianya pelayanan pembelian secara online, produk yang dipasarkan
mengikuti trend, kualitas produk terjamin, pelayanan pengiriman barang tepat
waktu, harga yang terjangkau dikalangan konsumen, dan tersedianya pelayanan
pembelian produk secara offline. Kelemahan (weakness) yaitu sumber daya
manusia (SDM) yang belum memadai, kurangnya efesiensi waktu, dan program
perencanaan yang tidak tertulis. Peluang (Opportunity) yaitu kemajuan teknologi,
loyalitas pelanggan, peluang pangsa pasar, kebutuhan masyarakat yang semakin
berkembang, banyaknya kontrakan dan kos-kosan mahasiswa, dan keinginan
masyarakat yang tidak pernah puas. Ancaman (Threats) yaitu banyaknya usaha
yang menjual produk sejenis, permainan harga dari pesaing, dan daya tawar
pemasok. Posisi Erba Shope yaitu berada pada kuadran I strategi agresif dan
untuk strategi alternatif tertinggi berada pada strategi SO (strenght – opportunity).
Dengan strategi alternatif tersebut perusahaan dapat mencapai tujuan yang
diinginkan serta dapat bertahan dalam menghadapi tekanan persaingan yang ada.

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. All possess tertiary education background in Public Administration or Public Management with more than 10 to 20 years of field experience. That said, this book is written with the students in mind. For many years, it has been a challenge for the students to find a book that specifically covers the syllabus of this subject. Therefore, each author writes specific topic to ensure the syllabus is well covered. In doing so, this book takes a general approach with a specific focus on Malaysian public service. It covers the important components in the study of public administration in Malaysia namely: (i) The Definition and Concept of Public Administration and its Components i.e. Public Organisations, (ii) Public Administration Activities such as Public Finance, Personnel Administration and Public Policy, and (iii) Ethical Perspective of Public Administration. Many have contributed to this book. Firstly, we would like to express our gratitude to the editors, Dr. Asri Salleh and Dr. Nadrawina Isnin who had diligently reviewed the work, time and again offering and sharing insights and key points to be included in the chapters. Perbaikan Sistem Kerja Pada Stasiun Pemotongan dan Perakitan Asmidar Furniture, Padang
Full text linkPerkembangan industri furniture di Indonesia pada beberapa tahun terakhir terus mengalami peningkatan. Salah satu bahan baku furniture yang digunakan yaitu rotan. Penghasil rotan terbesar di Indonesia terdapat di Pulau Sumatera. Sumatera Barat adalah salah satu penghasil kerajinan rotan dan memanfaatkannya dalam industri kerajinan. Usaha kerajinan rotan di Sumatera Barat umumnya masih dalam skala usaha mikro kecil menengah. Salah satunya yaitu Asmidar Furniture yang terletak di Jl. Raya Pitameh No.7 Kecamatan Lubuk Begalung, Padang. Pada survei pendahuluan yang dilakukan di Asmidar Furniture pada stasiun pemotongan dan perakitan digunakan kuesioner Nordic Body Map (NBM). Selain kuesioner dilakukan pengamatan secara langsung menggunakan Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), Workplace Ergonomic Risk Assesment (WERA) dan melakukan pengukuran lingkungan kerja. Hasil pengamatan dan hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak masalah yang ditemui berkaitan dengan sistem kerja pada Asmidar Furniture yang perlu diperbaiki, seperti postur kerja operator yang tidak ergonomis, risiko kerja dan lingkungan kerja operator. Perbaikan sistem kerja dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan 10 physical ergonomics principles. Rekomendasi yang didapatkan berupa perancangan meja kerja, perancangan wadah bahan baku, wadah rotan setelah dipotong, wadah perkakas kerja, meja tempat peletakan perkakas kerja dan kursi untuk istirahat. Skor REBA setelah perbaikan menunjukkan terjadinya penurunan dari level sedang dan tinggi menjadi level rendah. Evaluasi postur kerja juga dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner NBM, dimana sebelum perbaikan, skor NBM sebesar 73 dengan level tinggi dan diperlukan perbaikan, setelah dilakukan evaluasi postur kerja maka didapatkan skor NBM 52 dengan level sedang dengan tindakan diperlukan dikemudian hari. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya perbaikan tersebut terjadi penurunan keluhan rasa sakit yang dirasakan oleh operator. Perbaikan sistem kerja stasiun pemotongan dan perakitan juga dilakukan dengan merancang layout stasiun kerja pemotongan dan perakitan yang baru. Layout ini berisikan fasilitas kerja yang telah dirancang pada setiap stasiun kerja. Sebelumnya, belum ada fasilitas kerja yang digunakan dalam bekerja sehingga operator bekerja dengan posisi yang tidak ergonomis dan penempatan alat bantu dan bahan baku yang masih berserakan. Perancangan fasilitas ini dapat membantu operator dalam bekerja.
