The discussions reflect the wide-ranging interests and subjects that Kader Asmal engaged with as a legal scholar, human rights campaigner and politician of international renown throughout his life. Kader Asmal is perhaps best known for his political career as one of the most senior members of the African National Congress and a government minister in post-apartheid South Africa. Less well known to the general public is his equally immense contribution to international human rights law and policy, recognised with the award of the Prix UNESCO in 1983, through more than three decades of an international academic career and legal activism. This book is a reminder of the enduring relevance of the issues and causes he espoused and advocated. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Nilai-nilai Pendidikan
Kepemimpinan Rasulullah dalam Buku Peradabaan Islam dalam Lintasan Sejarah
Karya Asmal May. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library
research). Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi dokumentasi.
Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis) untuk
mengumpulkan muatan suatu teks berupa kata, makna, gambar, simbol, tema, dan
segala bentuk pesan yang dapat dikomunikasikan. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh
terdapat Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Kepemimpinan Rasulullah dalam Buku
Peradabaan Islam dalam Lintasan Sejarah Karya Asmal May yaitu: Shidiq (jujur),
Amanah (dapat dipercaya), Fathonah (cerdas) dan Tabliq (menyampaikan).

Penelitian ini menelaah Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Di SMA Negeri 2 Bulukumba. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 4 orang yang terdiri dari 1 kepala sekolah, 1 orang tata usaha dan 2 orang guru. Alat pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptiif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SMA Negeri 2 Bulukumba Kabupaten Bulukumba meliputi: 1) Leader directiveness (Pemimpin pengarah/direktif) yang ditandai dengan kepala sekolah melakukan penetapan tujuan, mengambil tanggungjawab penuh, membuat garis komando dan menggunakan imbalan untuk mngontrol perilau bawahan. 2) Leader supportiveness (Pemimpin pendukung/suportif) ditandai denganperhatian pribadi kepada bawahan, berashabat dan mudah ditemui, menjadi tempat konsultasi guru, mendorong keselarasan kerja antara guru dan pegawai serta menggunakan imbalan sebagai alat penguatan. 3) Particivative leadership (Kepemimpinan peran serta/partisipatif)yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah ditandai dengan visi pemimpin yang jelas dalam pencapaian tujuan lembaga dan perhatian terhadap prestasi. 4) achieverment oriented leadership (Kepemimpinan Berorientasi Prestasi) ditandai dengan mengizinkan kelompok menetapkan pelaksanaan tujuan mereka sendiri, mengizinkan anggota kelompok menyusun pekerjaan mereka sendiri, mengatasi perbedaan atau kesulitan dengan bawahan, menggunakan peran serta bawahan sebagai alat komunikasi, membolehkan anggota kelompok menjalankan kontrol atas kemajuan prestasi, lebih banyak menggunakan sistem imbalan berdasarkan kelompok daripada individu dan bersama-sama menanggung keberhasilan dan kegagalan kelompok dengan bawaha
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
