Anxiety level and compliance with health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic in Madura, Indonesia

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has caused changes in various aspects of life, including the culture of implementing health protocols to prevent transmission. The level of illness anxiety is considered to have a role in adherence to health protocols. Not many studies explain the relationship between anxiety levels and adherence to health protocols. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and adherence to health protocols in Madura, Indonesia. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design. The number of samples is 400 people of Madura Regency. The samples were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The inclusion criteria were at least 17 years old and can read and write. The research instruments were the Zung Self Rating Anxiety Scale and Adherence to COVID-19 Prevention Measures questionnaires. Results: The level of anxiety was dominated by mild anxiety (49.3%), while adherence to health protocols was dominated by low compliance (44.8%). The results of the Spearman rho test showed that there was a relationship between the level of anxiety and adherence to health protocols with p-value = 0.000. Conclusions: This study showed a significant relationship between anxiety levels and adherence to health protocols
PENGARUH PSIKODRAMA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PERILAKU KEPATUHAN PROTOCOL KESEHATAN COVID-19 PASIEN SCHIZOPHRENIA
Pasien schizophrenia yang memiliki insight yang buruk, kemampuan kognitif yang lemah, dan perilaku maladapative harus mendapatkan treatment untuk tetap patuh terhadap protocol kesehatan agar tidak tertular Covid-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan perbedaan latihan psikodrama 4 sesi terhadap perilaku patuh protocol kesehatan covid-19 pada pasien schizophrenia di Panti Rehabilitasi Psikiatrik. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan design Quasi Eksperimen, pretest-postest control group design, prosedur pengumpalan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuisioner Adherence to COVID-19 Prevention, analisa data menggunakan uji Wilxocon dan Mann-Whiteney dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 41 kelompok perlakuan dan 41 kelompok kontrol, peneliti juga menggunakan kriteria inklusi yaitu pasien tidak dalam fase krisis, arus pikir koheren, serta kooperatif. Hasil penelitian dengan Uji Mann-Whiteney menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara kelompok yang mendapat perlakuan psikodrama 4 sesi dengan kelompok kontrol yaitu dengan hasil nilai p-value 0.00 (<0.05), Sedangkan dengan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan terapi psikodrama terhadap kepatuhan protocol kesehatan covid-19 pasien schizophrenia dengan nilai p-value 0.00 (<0.05). Terapi psikodrama yang telah dilakukan memiliki kelebihan yaitu partisipan dapat melakukan penyesuaian apabila tidak sesuai dengan naskah drama
Correlation of Emotional Intelligence with Subjective Well-Being at Students in Islamic Boarding School
An adolescent who is in a phase of looking for self identity is in high risk to face emotional and social
problem, because it related to social and psychological state which could affect to their life satisfaction and their
subjective well-being. This research aimed to analyze a correlation between emotional intelligence with
subjective well being. This research used cross sectional design, the population was students at Islamic boarding
school Surabaya, Indonesia. Data was taken by using simple random sampling and it got 256 students. Data was
analyzed by spearman test. The result showed that there were 139 students that had low emotional intelligence
where the life satisfaction were 42.45% had enough satisfied, 22.3% enough satisfied, 11.5% dissatisfied, 8.6%
satisfied, 2.8% very satisfied and 0.72% very dissatisfied. Meanwhile the P value has 0.000 that’s means that
there is significant correlation of emotional intelligence with subjective well-being. Students have to learn how
to increase their social interaction, doing some activity that need a team work and skill, because it would be great
to enhance their emotional intelligence and their subjective well-being
Intervensi Keperawatan yang Sensitif Budaya Menggunakan Terapi Perilaku Kognitif Islam untuk Halusinasi Auditori pada Mahasiswa Tingkat Akhir: Laporan Kasus
Laporan kasus eksploratif ini menelaah feasibility (kelayakan penerapan) Islamic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) sebagai intervensi keperawatan berbasis budaya untuk seorang mahasiswa Muslim yang mengalami halusinasi auditorik. Seorang laki-laki berusia 22 tahun dengan diagnosis skizofrenia menjalani enam sesi terstruktur ICBT yang difasilitasi oleh perawat jiwa bersertifikat, bersamaan dengan pengobatan farmakologis standar (risperidone dan olanzapine). Intervensi mengintegrasikan tawakkul (percaya kepada Allah), dzikir (mengingat Allah), serta refleksi Al-Qur’an dalam kerangka CBT. Penilaian menggunakan PSYRATS-AH, Dysfunctional Attitude Scale, WHOQOL-BREF, dan Spiritual Well-Being Scale, dilengkapi pemantauan rutinitas harian dan jurnal reflektif. Setelah intervensi, pasien menunjukkan perbaikan yang tampak secara klinis: berkurangnya distres akibat halusinasi, menurunnya keyakinan disfungsional, meningkatnya refleksi diri, serta kembalinya keterlibatan dalam ibadah, interaksi sosial, dan perencanaan akademik. Namun, perubahan ini tidak dapat semata-mata dikaitkan dengan ICBT, mengingat adanya terapi antipsikotik bersamaan dan durasi intervensi yang singkat. Laporan ini menegaskan potensi ICBT sebagai pendekatan keperawatan berbasis budaya yang dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan terapeutik dan reframing spiritual pada pasien Muslim. Penelitian lebih lanjut dengan desain terkontrol diperlukan untuk menilai efektivitas, menjaga kesetiaan intervensi, serta memperjelas batas kompetensi praktik keperawatan dalam pemberian terapi berbasis CBTLatar Belakang: Halusinasi auditorik pada gangguan psikotik dapat secara signifikan mengganggu fungsi akademik, sosial, dan emosional. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) efektif untuk mengatasi gejala tersebut, namun adaptasi budaya dan spiritual dapat meningkatkan relevansinya bagi populasi Muslim. Tujuan: Laporan kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas intervensi keperawatan sensitif budaya menggunakan Islamic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) pada mahasiswa Muslim tingkat akhir dengan halusinasi auditorik. Metode: Desain studi kasus tunggal melibatkan seorang laki-laki berusia 22 tahun dengan halusinasi auditorik persisten. Enam sesi terstruktur ICBT mengintegrasikan ajaran Islam (misalnya tawakkul, dzikir, refleksi Al-Qur’an) dalam kerangka CBT. Pengukuran pra dan pascaintervensi meliputi PSYRATS-AH, Dysfunctional Attitude Scale, WHOQOL-BREF, dan Spiritual Well-Being Scale. Hasil: Pascaintervensi, terdapat penurunan signifikan pada frekuensi dan dampak emosional halusinasi auditorik, peningkatan penilaian kognitif terhadap suara, peningkatan kesejahteraan spiritual, dan kualitas hidup. Pasien juga menunjukkan regulasi emosi yang lebih baik serta peningkatan fungsi akademik. Diskusi: Integrasi ajaran Islam ke dalam prinsip CBT meningkatkan keterlibatan pasien, mengurangi distress psikologis, dan memperkuat hubungan terapeutik. Pendekatan yang disesuaikan secara budaya ini memberikan makna spiritual terhadap pengalaman pasien, yang mendukung restrukturisasi kognitif dan perubahan perilaku. Implikasi untuk Praktik: ICBT merupakan intervensi keperawatan yang menjanjikan bagi pasien Muslim dengan gangguan psikotik. Pelatihan perawat jiwa dalam CBT yang diadaptasi secara kultural dapat meningkatkan hasil pemulihan, kepuasan pasien, dan kepatuhan terhadap terapi pada populasi yang berorientasi religius
The Effectiveness of Mind-Body Therapy on Reducing Anxiety Levels of Pre-Operative Patients: A Literature Study
Many patients experience anxiety before surgery. Complementary therapy with a mind-body therapy approach can be used to reduce this anxiety. This study aimed to provide an overview of the effectiveness of complementary therapy with a mind-body therapy approach in reducing anxiety in pre-operative patients. The study was a literature study of 3,324 articles. Following the selection process, 2 articles were found: Pubmed (n=9) and Portal Garuda (n=3). The articles were discovered using the keywords, mind-body therapy AND anxiety AND preoperative OR preoperation for international articles. Assessment of article quality was carried out using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) for Randomized Controlled Trials and Quasi-experimental. The study used a thematic method of analysis. PENERAPAN PSIKOEDUKASI KELOMPOK SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN ORANG TUA DALAM MENSTIMULASI PERKEMBANGAN INISIATIF ANAK PRASEKOLAH PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 DI KELURAHAN BURING KOTA MALANG
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused learning activities to be carried out at home.
Pre-school age enters the initiative stage and requires a lot of stimulation to
optimize it. Parents are less able to stimulate because they tend to surrender
to the teacher. Lack of initiative development stimulation causes children not
to cope with greater stress at the developmental stage and it becomes a bigger
mental health problem for children. This goal is to apply psychoeducation to
increase the independence of parents in developing early school initiatives
during the Covid-19 pandemic. The activity was carried out from November to
December 2020 with the target of activities as many as 32 parents in the Malang
area of Indonesia. Participants were divided into 3 groups to participate in 3 sessions, session 1 brainstorming and identifying problems, session 2 stimulating
the development of initiatives, and session 3 evaluating and sharing
experiences. After 2 sessions of activity, the ability of parents experienced an
increase in the average ability to stimulate the development of initiative from
44.19 to 55.84 points. This therapeutic activity has increased the knowledge and
ability of people to develop their child's psychosocial. Thus, the role of parents
increases in learning at home during the Covid-19 pandemic
Pendampingan Kepatuhan Protokol Kesehatan Covid-19 Klien Schizophrenia
ABSTRAKKlien dengan gangguan mental schizophrenia merupakan kelompok rentan yang harus mendapat perhatian dimasa pandemic Covid-19. Gangguan fungsi kognitif, afektif, perilaku, dan social yang dialami akan memperberat terhadap pemahaman dan perilaku patuh terhadap protocol kesehatan covid-19. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk melakukan pendampingan agar pasien gangguan skizophrenia patuh terhadap protocol kesehatan covid-19. Pelaksanaan proses pendampingan dimulai dari perizinan, persiapan program, penyamaan persepsi dengan perawat dan petugas sosial, implementasi psikodrama, serta evaluasi dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whiteney. Dari hasil evaluasi dengan menggunakan General adherence to the COVID-19 preventive yang kemudian diolah menggunakan SPSS Versi 20. Didapatkan bahwa terdapa perbedaan yang sangat signifikan pada kelompok yang mendapat perlakuan psikodrama 4 sesi. Terdapat perbedaan sebelum dilakukan pendampingan kepatuhan protocol dan setelah pendampingan protokol kesehatan covid-19 ini karena prosedur pelaksanaan yang mudah serta pasien mendapatkan contoh secara langsung dari narasi yang dibacakan dan dapat melakukan improvisasi sehingga perilakumenjadi lebih adaptif. Disturbances in cognitive, affective, behavioral, and social functions experienced will exacerbate understanding and compliance with the COVID-19 health protocol. The purpose of this service is to provide assistance so that patients with schizophrenia disorders comply with the COVID-19 health protocol. The implementation of the mentoring process starts from licensing, program preparation, sharing perceptions with nurses and social workers, implementing psychodrama, and evaluating using the Mann Whiteney test. From the results of the evaluation using General adherence to the COVID-19 preventive which was then processed using SPSS Version 20. It was found that there was a very significant difference in the group receiving 4 sessions of psychodrama treatment. There are differences before the protocol compliance assistance is carried out and after the Covid-19 health protocol assistance is due to the easy implementation procedure and the patient gets direct examples from the narratives that are read and can improvise so that behavior becomes more adaptive. PENDAMPINGAN PENINGKATAN FUNGSI KOGNITIF dan PENURUNAN LONELINESS MELALUI MOVEMENT THERAPY pada PASIEN SKIZOFRENIA dengan ISOLASI SOSIAL di UPT RSBL PASURUAN
Schizophrenia interferes with many aspects of a patient's life, causing deficits in cognitive, perceptual, motor, emotional, and social functioning. Patients who experience social isolation can feel loneliness, with decreased interaction that will also affect their cognitive function.
There were 183 schizophrenia patients in the social rehabilitation unit, and around 25% (45) patients with symptoms of social isolation. This condition causes the patient to experience a decrease in activity which in the end the patient becomes unproductive, the patient's quality of life decreases and the prognosis for schizophrenia will get worse. This condition will increase the burden of care for both the family and the patient's place of care, and if the burden of caring increases, the quality of caring will decrease.
One of the psychotherapy recommendations for schizophrenia patients with social isolation is movement therapy. Movement therapy used in this activity is dance movement therapy and aerobic therapy. The patients involved in this activity were 10 patients for dance movement therapy and 10 patients for aerobic therapy. The results obtained after the implementation of dance movement therapy were that the patient experienced a decrease in the loneliness scale in 10 patients. Meanwhile, aerobic therapy for ten patients experienced an increase in cognitive function of 1-3 scores. This method can be developed in the form of audio-visual and the patient can do it alone without being accompanied by a therapist and being observed. So that this activity can be a recommendation for additional therapy in schizophrenia patients with social isolation
Adiksi Media Sosial Sebagai Penyebab Harga Diri Rendah Pada Usia Dewasa Muda
The use of social media has increased in the last few years. Social media has a negative impact on a person's selfesteem because they make social comparisons based on what they see on social media. This study aims to examine the relationship between the level of social media use and the level of self-esteem in young adults. The study used a cross-sectional approach, and the population in this study was college students (19-20 years old) in Malang, Indonesia. The sample consisted of 96 respondents, selected using purposive sampling. Respondents filled out the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS) questionnaire and the Coopersmith Self-esteem Inventory (CSEI). Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test in SPSS. The results showed that 57.3% of respondents were at the alert category level of social media use, and 63.5% of respondents had very low self-esteem. The correlation test showed a negative relationship between social media use and self-esteem (p-value = 0.044; r = -0.206). The strength of the relationship is weak and has a negative direction, meaning that the higher the level of social media use, the lower the self-esteem level will be. Alert-level social media use among young adults has an effect on low levels of self-esteem
Is Social Support Related to Psychological Wellbeing in Working Mother?
The number of working mothers has increased significantly in the last decade. Working mothers have a dual role, as caregivers of children and earn a living. The role of a worker adds to the burden and affects the psychological well-being of the mother. Psychological well-being is an indicator of an individual's mental health. Social support are important factors in the psychological well-being of working mothers. The purpose of this study was to analyze relationship between social support and psychological well-being of working mothers. This research used correlational cross sectional study design. 374 working mother in Sidoarjo East Java were taken using accidental sampling technique. Variable was measured using Multidimentional Scale of Perceived Social Support questionair and Ryff’s Scale Psychological Well-Being questionair. Variables were analyzed by pearson correlation. The result of this research showed that social support have significant correlation with psychological well-being (p value 0,000). These results explain the importance of social support factors in improving the psychological well-being of working mothers
