The Correlation between Self –Esteem nd English Learning Achievement of the First Year English Education Department Students at Mulawarman University
Get PDFThis study aimed to find out the correlation between students’ self-esteem and English learning achievement of the first-year English Education Department Students at Mulawarman University. The method used in this study was quantitative research which was designed in a correlational study. The total sampling method was used to take the samples, where it was the same with the numbers of population (86 students). The samples were the first-year students of the English Department from three classes. Self-Esteem Questionnaire (QSE) was adopted from Hyde (1979), which was used to find students’ self-esteem. Cumulative scores related to English courses in the first semester were used to find students’ English learning achievement. Descriptive statistics and Pearson Product Moment Correlation were used to analyze the data. The mean score for students’ self-esteem was 75.59, it indicated that the level of self-esteem was vulnerable. While the mean score for students’ English learning achievement was 3.24 which was categorized as Good. The calculation using the Pearson Product Moment showed the r-value was .185 and it was lower than r-table 0.212 with the level of probability (p) significance (sig.2-tailed) was .089 and it was higher than 0.05. It indicated that there was no significant correlation between self-esteem and English learning achievement. The different results were found between English skills subjects and non-English skills subjects with students’ self-esteem. There was a positive slight significant correlation between self-esteem and the subject of English skills, while there was no significant correlation between self-esteem and non-English skills subject

Poetry language is a distinct language, a lot of interpretation, and highly connotative. The distinctive of this language is also in the lyrics of the song. The song lyric is rhyme in the form of a song wording that is heartstrings outpouring of the author. The form of the song lyrics are very diverse, one of which is min'yo (folk song) from Japan. Min'yo is divided into several categories, and among of them is a children's song called douyou, Many douyou are created with simple lyrics, but not all people will immediately understand the true meaning. In this thesis, there are three douyou if it is viewed at a glance to have the same story, which is about something away or disappear. The purposes of the study are to analyze the meaning of the lyrics and the three of linkages douyou with the poet's life.
The method used in the research is descriptive analytical method by study of literature. The theory used in analyze is structural theory with expressive approach. Structural theory is used to analyze the elements of the structuralof the lyrics, those are physical structure and the inner structure. Structural theory is also used to be able to understand the meaning in the lyrics of song in a comprehensive and maximal way, while the expressive approach is used to more understand the feelings of the poet.
The results of the study are all of the elements in the lyrics of the song are related to each other form a unity meaning intact. The three songs are the outpouring of feeling that comes from the poet's life, precisely about the figure that is very meaningful and precious for the poet. The expression of sadness, regret, longing and affection toward these figures is clearly illustrated in the all three songs.

Business Strategy Formulation and Business Model Development of Ewako!shoes
No full textAbstract.Ewako!shoes offer shoes using traditional hand–woven silk from Sengkang as hallmark. This final project purpose is finding appropriate business strategy for ewako!shoes by analyzing internal and external environment which obtained from observation and interview then formulated into EFAS and IFAS calculations. Next, the calculation results are plotted into grand strategy matrix. The results show that ewako!shoes positioned in growth strategy quadrant which has two strategy options, concentration and diversification. After thorough analysis, the most suitable corporate strategy for ewako!shoes is concentration strategy with focus on horizontal integration while the appropriate business strategy is differentiation focus. Finally, the author formulated implementation action plans based on strategy formulation result and development of current business model. Implementasi Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) di Kelurahan Kampung Seraya Kecamatan Batu Ampar Kota Batam
Get PDFProgram Keluarga Harapan (PKH) is a program organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs to provide conditional social assistance to the community, especially underprivileged families or poor families. The research was conducted to describe the implementation of the PKH in Kampung Seraya Village. The selection of research locations took into account the number of PKH Beneficiary Families and the number of independent graduates in each village of Batu Ampar District. The data collection process was carried out by interviewing informants, observation, and document studies. Another goal was to find out the driving and inhibiting factors of program implementation, as well as formulating a strategy to improve PKH implementation. The result was implementation of PKH in Kampung Seraya have been running but had several deficiencies, namely there was still a discrepancy in the identity of PKH Beneficiary Families recorded in the DTKS, the Population and Civil Registration Agency, and channeling banks, which affected the distribution of aid funds. There were also several driving and inhibiting factors that influence the implementation of PKH. Author recommends that government can develop and improve the strengths and opportunities as it is explained in the research. In addition, the author also designed a strategy model for updating PKH Beneficiary Family data to minimize identity discrepancies

The Human Capital Group is one of the work units involved and has an important role in business trip procedures. The purpose of this paper is to determine the role of the Human Capital Group in the flow of business trip procedures and determine the advantages and disadvantages as well as obstacles and solutions that exist in these procedures. The method used for data collection is the interview method to several Human Capital Group staff who play a role in business trip procedures. The author also links the role of the Human Capital Group to the theory of the function of the human resources department according to Hendry Simamora (2006) in (Sembiring, 2010, pp.9-10). Based on the results of data collection and information, it was concluded that the Human Capital Group had carried out its duties and roles well, but there were some shortcomings and obstacles in the business trip procedures. The author also provides suggestions that are expected to be useful for the company, such as system integration, use of the system through smartphones, and others

Get PDFThis study aimed to determine the concept of polygamy in Islam and to identify polygamy from the perspective of the Muslimah Wahdah Islamiyah's cadres in Makassar. The problems that the authors raise in this study are; First, what is the concept of polygamy in Islam. Second, what is the perspective of Muslimah Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar's cadres on polygamy. To find answers to these problems, the author employed a quantitative approach which is designed as survey research using a questionnaire for data collection. Then the understanding of the results of the analysis is interpreted descriptively. The results of the study found that the perspective of Muslimah Wahdah Islamiyah's cadres in Makassar on polygamy can be seen based on two things, namely the level of knowledge and understanding of the Muslimah Wahdah Islamiyah's cadres in Makassar towards polygamy which is in the medium category and the level of agreement of statements regarding the perceptions and attitudes of Muslimah Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar's cadres against polygamy which is classified as positive and falls into the "approved" categor
A Corpus-Based Analysis of Word 'Ghost' in the Collection of Kenyah Stories
Get PDFTo illustrate the concept of ghosts, this research aimed to explain how they were described in Ã`ma Lóngh and Lebu’ Kulit language, the collection of Dayak Kenyah short stories. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method based on figurative language personification theory. Data analysis is conducted using corpus analysis with the AntConc application. This research concluded that there are four categories that employ personification in relation to the term 'ghost' namely the ghosts act like human, the ghosts being described as dying like humans, ghosts can transform into other forms and ghosts being described as animals. The use of personification in these stories allows readers to relate to and believe in the ghost, enhancing the drama and suspense of the story. The ghosts in this research were only described using personification. Further research might investigate ghosts through different theories to see how their appearance can contribute to certain meanings in the stories
Pendekatan manajerial bidan dalam penerapan asuhan: A literature review
Get PDFBackground: The identified phenomenon is that midwives are required to provide evidence-based, standardized, and professional care to ensure the health and quality of life of infants and mothers. Improving the quality of midwifery services can be achieved through strategic steps, including a midwifery managerial approach to midwifery care. This managerial approach can provide clear direction, especially in the context of midwifery services, such as practice in hospitals, community health centers, or independent practice.
Purpose: To examine the midwifery managerial approach to midwifery care.
Method: A literature review and search were conducted using databases such as Google Scholar Garuda (Garba Digital Reference), PubMed, and ResearchGate, using keywords such as "midwifery managerial approach," "midwifery care," "midwifery care management," "midwives and reproductive education," and "management-based midwifery services." After searching, filtering and synthesis were conducted in accordance with PRIMA guidelines.
Results: The midwife's managerial approach to care delivery is the process of providing care to clients (families, infants, or mothers) through responsible, organized, and systematic nursing services. Generally, there are three steps in implementing the midwife's managerial approach to care delivery: supporting appropriate clinical decision-making, ensuring continuity of individualized and holistic care, and providing safe, efficient, and effective care.
Conclusion: The steps in the midwife's managerial approach to care delivery include reviewing data, formulating the problem or diagnosis, establishing success criteria and objectives, planning actions, implementing actions, and evaluating actions.

Pendahuluan: Fenomena yang ditemukan, bidan memiliki tuntutan dalam pemberian asuhan berbasis bukti guna, terstandar, serta professional dalam menjamin kesehatan serta kualitas hidup bayi dan ibu. Dalam peningkatan mutu pelayanan kebidanan dapat dilakukan melalui langkah strategis melalui pendekatan manajerial bidan dalam penerapan asuhan kebidanan. Pendekatan manajerial yang dilakukan tersebut dapat memberikan arahan yang jelas, khsusunya pada konteks pelayanan kebidanan, misalnya pada praktik rumah sakit, puskesmas, ataupun praktik mandiri.
Tujuan: Untuk mengkaji pendekatan manajerial bidan dalam penerapan asuhan.
Metode: Penelitian literature review dan pencarian dilakukan menggunakan database, seperti Google Scholar Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital), PubMed, dan ResearchGate dengan penggunaan kata kunci “pendekatan manajerial bidan”, “asuhan kebidanan”, “manajemen asuhan kebidanan”, “bidan dan edukasi reproduksi”, serta “pelayanan kebidanan berbasis manajemen”. Setelah dilakukan pencarian, proses screening dan sintesa dilakukan menurut PRIMA guideline.
Hasil: Pendekatan manajerial bidan dalam penerapan asuhan adalah salah satu proses dalam memberikan asuhan terhadap klien (keluarga, bayi, atau ibu) melalui pemberian pelayanan kebinanan dengan tanggung jawab, terorganisir, serta sistematis. Secara umum terdapat tiga langkah dalam menerapkan pendekatan manajerial bidan dalam penerapan asuhan diantaranya adalah mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan klinis yang tepat, menjamin kontinuitas pelayanan secara individual dan holistik, serta memberikan asuhan yang aman, efisien, dan efektif.
Simpulan: Langkah-langkah dalam pendekatan manajerial bidan dalam penerapan asuhan diantaranya adalah mengkaji data, merumuskan masalah atau diagnosa, menetapkan kriteria keberhasilan dan tujuan, merencanakan tindakan, melaksanakan tindakan, serta dilakukan evaluasi.
