this study found that students' social environment at home affected their learning styles and outcomes.
The author also suggests that other ESP teachers conduct more research on reflective practices that can
help developing learning strategies and technology implemented in their course

quantitative descriptive methods, namely explaining and describing and analyzing the data obtained by interviewing, questionnaires and observing the phenomenon of phenomena regarding the implementation of environmental duties and cleanliness of the city of Pekanbaru. The sampling process in this study is the sampling for the Head of Departement of Head of the cleaning staff and the community of Tangkerang Timur who live in the vicnity of the garbage pile. Data
collection techniques used are questionnaire interview observation and documentation with qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that overall based on the results of research on the implementation of
environmental duties and cleanliness of the city of Pekanbaru in the handling of waste is in the fairly good category, this is because the implementation still has
not achived optimal results because in Tangkerang Timur Village there are stiill piles of garbage piles
The Analysis of Factors that Influence Stunting
Get PDFStunting in children is a national problem caused by many factors that harm human resources in the future, including an impact on decreasing intelligence, vulnerability to disease, hampering economic growth, work productivity, exacerbating inequality, and height growth is shorter than age in general. Stunting in children under five is a consequence of several factors that are often associated with poverty, including nutrition, health, sanitation, and the environment There are five main factors that cause stunting, namely poverty, social and cultural, increased exposure to infectious diseases, food insecurity and community access to health service. The purpose of this literature review was to analyze the factors that influence stunting. The article was obtained from a SINTA accredited journal published in the 2013-2023 period with the same title, as well as the same research design. The selected articles were then tested for plagiarism, and nine articles with the smallest plagiarism level were selected. Analysis PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) is carried out on each article, followed by making conclusions. The results of the analysis determined that factors that influence stunting include social and cultural, increased exposure to infectious diseases, food insecurity and community access to health services alone or together. The author hopes that this research will further greatly help how to do health promotion, case finding and prevention, and, many sectors must be involved and work together for the problem of stunting

Citra Media Bertuah or Bertuahpos.com is one of the online media in Pekanbaru that focuses on business news as much as 75%. Bertuahpos.com is also one of 300 online media in Riau which has been verified as actual and factual by the Press Council. In its implementation there are still some news which according to the author is not comprehensive because it does not contain news value properly. This research method is a qualitative descriptive analysis. In this study the authors searched through documentation in the form of theoretical data from books, document data in the form of formal notes, news portal bertuahpos.com related to the discussion of this thesis, internet and so on with regard to the title. Observations were also made to the Bertuahpos office to meet references regarding supporting data in completing this thesis. The results of this study indicate that Bertuahpos has applied news values greatly. Of the 23 news stories that the author studied, there are at least 7 news values that have been applied by Bertuahpos from 8 news values from Hariris, Leiter and Johnson which are indicators of the author's research. Get PDFPenelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan menghasilkan suatu pemodelan UML (Unified Modeling Languange) untuk menganalisa seluruh skenario use case dan use case diagram yang didefinisikan pada sistem informasi inventaris yang nantinya dapat membantu dalam perancangan sistem informasi inventaris yang berbasis desktop. Pemodelan use case diagram digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan apa yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh sistem. Selanjutnya use case diagram dideskripsikan dalam bentuk use case scenario untuk menjelaskan interaksi yang terjadi antara aktor dengan sistem. Use case diilustrasikan secara visual dalam bentuk use case diagram untuk menggambarkan konteks dari sistem yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini melakukan pemodelan sistem informasi inventaris pada Laboratorium Teknik Mesin pada inventarisasi bahan-bahan praktikum dan alat-alat praktikum. Pembuatan pemodelan UML menggunakan use-case diagram disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pengguna dan sistem yang berjalan pada laboratorium. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah pembuatan skenario use case dan use case diagram agar sistem dapat menampilkan daftar inventaris alat-alat praktikum, daftar inventaris bahan-bahan praktikum, daftar peminjaman dan pengembalian alat, daftar pengambilan bahan, dan daftar laporan inventaris yang nantinya dapat mendukung kepala jurusan, kepala laboratorium, dosen-dosen, dan teknisi dalam mengambil keputusan.Kata kunci: pemodelan, , use case, diagram, inventaris, laboratoriu

Research and development adapted from Borg & Gall, and Allesi & Trollip include planning, design, development, staging and production. The research and development aim: (1) Produce android-based Talempong Pacik multimedia learning for middle school (SMP) VIII grade students; (2) Test the feasibility of Android-based Talempong Pacik multimedia learning for learning grade VIII SMP students; (3) Find out the attraction product developed; (4) Find out whether students can use Talempong Pacik correcrlt after using the product developed. In the development process using Adobe Flash Professional software and Adobe Animate software, but this software has the disadvantage of being delayed in the Talempong Pacik android game that is ready to be validated by experts. In the end the author used the Android Studio software and the problem found was solved

Literature is beautiful and interesting. Reading and discussing the literary work is enjoyable and give advantage, for instance increasing our knowledge. One of the literary works is poem. It can make the reader engage. Moreover we not only read it but also analyze it. When we are analyzing of course we can get knowledge more. In this case the researcher chose the poems entitled “To My Dear and Loving Husband”, “A Letter to Her Husband”, and “For the restoration of my dear Husband from a burning Ague, June, 1661” by Anne Bradstreet because the masterpiece of her works that present upon public employment. The goal of this research are To find out the kinds and meaning of metaphor in “To My Dear and Loving Husband”, “A Letter to Her Husband”, and “For the restoration of my dear Husband from a burning Ague, June, 1661” by Anne Bradstreet. In this research the researcher uses structural approach. The main data of this research 3 poems by Anne Bradstreet
The result shows that there are 27 lines in three poems by Anne Bradstreet that include metaphor. 17 lines belong to abstract to concrete metaphor, 8 lines belong to anthropomorphic metaphor and 2 lines belong to Synaesthetic metaphor.
In the poem of “To My Dear and Loving Husband”, has loyalty meaning. The next poem entitles “A Letter to Her Husband”, has longing and sadness meaning, and in the last poem entitle “For the restoration of my dear Husband from a burning Ague, June, 1661” also has sadness meaning.
It can be concluded that metaphor has important roles in this poem. That‘s why the author used metaphor to explain her feeling in her poem so there are sentences that include metaphor meaning. Using metaphor makes the poem more interesting to read, and helps the readers to imagine the poem.

Sastra itu indah dan menarik. Membaca dan mendiskusikan karya sastra menyenangkan dan memberikan manfaat, misalnya meningkatkan pengetahuan kita. Salah satu karya sastra adalah puisi. Hal ini dapat membuat pembaca menjiwai (terlibat). Selain itu kita tidak hanya membaca tetapi juga menganalisanya. Ketika kita menganalisis tentu saja kita bisa mendapatkan pengetahuan yang lebih. Dalam hal ini peneliti memilih puisi berjudul “To My Dear and Loving Husband”, “A Letter to Her Husband”, dan “For the restoration of my dear Husband from a burning Ague, June, 1661” karya Anne Bradstreet, karena itu adalah karyanya yang sangat agung dan di publikasihkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis dan arti metafora pada puisi “To My Dear and Loving Husband”, “A Letter to Her Husband”, dan “For the restoration of my dear Husband from a burning Ague, June, 1661” karya Anne Bradstreet. Pada penelian ini peneliti menggunkan pendekatan struktural. Data utama pada penelitihan ini adalah 3 puisi karya Anne Bradstreet.
Hasil menunjukan ada 27 baris pada 3 puisi karya Anne Bradstreet yang tergolong metafora. 17 baris termasuk metafora bastrak ke kongret, 8 baris termasuk metafora anthropomorphis, dan 2 baris tergolong metaora synaesthetik.
Pada puisi “To My Dear and Loving Husband” mempunyai makna kesetiaan, dan puisi selanjutnya yang berjudul “A Letter to Her Husband” mempunyai arti kerinduan dan kesedihan, dan puisi terakhir yang berjudul dan “For the restoration of my dear Husband from a burning Ague, June, 1661” juga mempunyai arti kesedihan.
Dapat di simpulkan bahwa metafora mempunyai peran penting pada puisi. Oleh karena itu pengarang menggunakan metafora untuk menjelaskan perasaannya di puisinya sehingga banyak kalimat yang termasuk metafora. Menggunkan metafora menjadikan puisi lebih indah untuk di baca, dan membantu pembaca untuk berimajinasi pada puisi tersebut
Teaching Writing in the Textbook Series Profiles: A Genre-Based Approach
Get PDFTässä tutkielmassa tarkastellaan Profiles-nimisen oppikirjasarjan ensimmäisen kolmen kurssin kirjoitustehtäviä genren näkökulmasta. Tutkimuksen kohteena ovat sekä lyhyet kappalekohtaiset kirjoitusharjoitukset että ainekirjoitusta koskevat ohjeet ja tehtävänannot.
Lähtökohta tutkielmalle on, että kaikki ihmisten välinen kommunikaatio kuuluu jonkun genren piiriin. Luokitteluun voi vaikuttaa kielellinen muoto, mutta yleisesti kommunikaation perimmäinen tarkoitus nähdään ratkaisevana tekijänä. Äidinkielen puhuja tunnistaa hänelle tutut ja tavalliset genret yleensä vaivattomasti, koska kohtaa näitä jatkuvasti omassa ympäristössään ja kulttuurissaan. Haaste vieraan kielen opetuksessa on näin ollen nimenomaan genren kulttuurisidonnaisuus, koska luokkahuone ja oppikirja eivät voi tarjota aitoa kontekstia, jota genren ymmärtäminen ja käyttäminen vaatii. Tarkoituksena onkin selvittää, miten oppikirjat huomioivat genren käsitettä kirjoitustehtävissä, miten genreä mahdollisesti opetetaan sekä onko taustalla jokin tietty kulttuuri tai maa.
Tutkielman teoriaosassa selvennetään genren käsitettä, vertaillaan sitä tekstityyppiin sekä esitellään kolme genreä tutkinutta koulukuntaa. Yhteistä koulukunnille on genren konteksti- ja kulttuurisidonnaisuus sekä genren luokittelu sen päämäärän ja tarkoituksen, ei niinkään ulkoasun mukaisesti. Vaikka näkemykset genren luokkahuonesovelluksista vaihtelevat koulukunnissa, genren perimmäinen tarkoitus on yhteinen: genre auttaa ihmisiä hahmottamaan ja ymmärtämään ympäröivää kommunikaatiota.
Oppikirja-analyysi osoitti, että erityisesti lyhyissä kirjoitustehtävissä opiskelijat kohtaavat nuorille tuttuja genrejä kuten sähköpostiviesti ja nettikommentti. Ainekirjoitusohjeet paneutuvat aineen rakenteeseen ja tyyliin yleisesti, ei yksittäisiin genreihin. Ainekirjoitustehtävissä opiskelijoiden on pääteltävä aineen genre tehtävänannosta. Mielenkiintoista oli erityisesti, että erillisissä portfolio-ohjeissa opiskelijoita kannustettiin pohtimaan kirjoittajan (author), yleisön (audience) ja viestimen (medium) näkökulmaa ja vaikutusta omaan tuotokseen.
