    This text is both a study of the relationships between tribes and state formation, and a political history of central Arabia. It deals with the Rashidi dynasty which in the 19th century emerged among the Shammar camel herders, made the oasis of Hail a capital rivalling Mecca and Medina in fame and prosperity, and attempted to unify central Arabia into a single polity. The author considers why at this particular moment the Shammar became susceptible to political centralization, the internal and external factors that contributed to the emergence of their dynasty, the changes in the political system and the factors which contributed to the subsequent instability and decline of the Shammar polity in the 20th century

Yes” (Moustafa 2015) in which some comments are given on our published paper in Nature titled “Is there fame bias in editorial choice?” (Mahian et al. 2015). Unfortunately, the author of above mentioned paper and many other readers might misunderstand the main aim of our correspondence.     Nature’s Correspondence items are reviewed only by the editors (see go.nature.com/cmchno). To investigate whether editorial bias towards internationally renowned correspondents might be at play in selecting candidates for publication, we analysed the scientific status of Correspondence authors published in 2014. We used the following pointers to gauge author reputation: faculty member in one of the world’s top 100 universities (as listed in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings; see go.nature. com/bhgfxd); authorship of Nature or Science publications; high h index. We classed correspondents as established scholars if they fulfilled any or all of these criteria. The number of letters published in Correspondence in 2014 was 239, each with one ‘corresponding author’ responsible for submission and communication with the editors. We found that 54% of these authors met some or all of our criteria. Some 13% of authors came from the developing world. Within the limitations of our ‘fame factors’ (for example, some correspondents were well known but from outside academia) and of sampling only the corresponding authors, we infer that scientific celebrity does not notably influence the selection of Correspondence for publication

Based on the current scenario that had been . our company focused on the development of new knowledge and technologies that lead towards an improvement in term of the tools and equipment that had been created based on the problems that had been voiced out by the farmers and people ill the agriculture sector. Based from the product that we had created, the Agro-stake is one of the products that is invented to ease the fanner in term of setting-up the stake and other additional extension feature that the customer desire The objectives of our company is to produce new creation of extension innovation tools and equipment based on the agriculture needs and at the same we wanted to provide a better services for our customer in term of consultancy and service which is to make sure the customer is satisfy with the product created by Green Tech Enterprise. The tools and equipment that had been invented by our company is made for more effective and efficient used in field and any places needed in order to ease the workload of people who love farming activities with affordable price and at the same time encourage the young people to involve in modem farming lifestyle to create a better future in the Agriculture sector of Malaysia and also to terminate the way and perception of people on the agriculture which say that agriculture is Dirty, Dangerous and Difficult. From what we are implementing in the business, our location is a strategic location in Malacca which is at Alor Gajah. From what we can say, Malacca is our target location for our target market as there are huge possibilities that Malacca can be one of the Agricultural District in Malaysia that practices modern farming lifestyle in their daily life. From here, we feel that the chances on the viability of the business are high as the products that we produced are focused on agriculture extension product with affordable prices. As the competitors are still lack of new inventions, we will be able to increase our market share ill a short period of time as our company's member are. still young and fresh graduates that are able to generate more idea based on the current technology that are available nowadays.     Assessment of spinal cord abnormalities and its related factors in male students of Islamic Azad University at Semnan

    Background and aimDecreased mobility and physical activity are threatening factors of health and spinal cord as the basic axis of the body is of critical importance in this regard because any injury of deformity of it can cause body malfunction. The aim of this study was to assess abnormalities of spinal cord and some of their related factors in male students of Islamic Azad University at Semnan. Materials and methods In this descriptive study, 240 students in their Physical Education Course 1 took part in the study. New York Test Posture Screen validated and made reliable by content and test-retest (r=0.80) methods respectively as well as Matiyas Test were applied for the assessment. A 3-grade scale including good, fair and poor was used for classification and those classified as good were regarded normal and those classified as fair or poor were considered as abnormal. Data were analyzed by SPSS 14. Findings 91.3% of the subjects suffer at least from one of spinal cord abnormalities. The most common condition was falling shoulders (74.2%) and the least frequent was pelvic obliquity (2.5%). Matiyas test was negative in 58.8% (not able to remain in requested position). 33.3% was overweight and obese in terms of body mass index (BMI).  ConclusionThe results showed that the prevalence of spinal cord abnormalities in the subjects was very high (91.3%) mostly due to poor mobility, weakness in the muscles of upper extremities particularly those holding the spine and lack of exercise.     Wind reduction patterns around isolated biomass for wind erosion control in a desertified area of Central Sudan

    The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of sparse vegetation, feature common in arid zone, to reduce wind force (velocity) and hence protect the surface and regions downwind from drifting sand and their consequences. Respectively 4 (with heights h of 4, 3.2, 2 and 1.66 m), 2 (with h of 3 and 2.5 m) and 3 (with h of 1.04, 0.9 and 0.8 m ) well established single biomass configurations of Leptadenia pyrotechnica trees, Prosopis juliflora trees and Panicum turgidum grass, were selected in the field. Solar powered cup anemometer wind measurements with a data logger system were taken at heights of 0.25 and 0.5 h, at distances 0.5 and 1 h, at four sides of the tree in the prevailing wind direction and perpendicular to it, and additionally at 2, 4 and 6 h windward and leeward. The protection effectiveness of the biomass was calculated as a wind reduction ratio and in terms of objects protection, which was evaluated using the dimensionless protection index (É). The study showed that windward protection provided by Leptadenia and Prosopis at level 0.25h and distance 0.5 h was similar, w ith a wind reduction ratio R0.8, while Panicum showed comparably higher R-values. Even at the 0.5 h level, Panicum showed an R of 0.65 at 0.5 h distance. Leew ard, at 0.25 h level differences were small, R increasing from 0.6/0.7 to 0.8/1 with distance, Leptadenia protecting best. At higher level (0.5 h) at distances 0.5 and 1 h Prosopis gave better protection than the other two at distances 0.5, 1 and 2 h. The research is an exam ple of simple experimental work under difficult environmental conditions in Africa. It was part of studies in which additional attention was paid to quantification aspects under such conditions as well as to the problems it helped solve in the African societies concerned as agrometeorological service

    Cash Holding, Leverage, Political Connections, and Earnings Quality:The Moderating Role of Corporate Social Responsibility

    This study aims to examine the influence of cash holding, leverage and political connections (CSR) on earnings quality. In addition, the moderating role of corporate social responsibility in the relationship between the variables also examined. Data were collected from financial statements and sustainability reports of Indonesian manufacturing companies, listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Data were derived from the Indonesian stock exchange website and the company's official website. Using purposive sampling method, 424 firm-year observations between 2017 and 2020 were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis for panel data. The results of this study reveal that cash holding is negatively associated with earnings quality, while leverage is positively associated with earnings quality, and political connections are not associated with earnings quality. Furthermore, CSR does not have a role in weakening the negative effect of cash holding, leverage and political connections on earnings quality

    Ultrasonically Powered and Controlled Microsystem for Dual-Wavelength Optogenetics with a Multi-Load Regulation Scheme

    This letter presents an ultrasonically powered dual-wavelength optogenetic device that targets simultaneous excitation and inhibition of neural activities, or in a broader sense, optical stimulation in two distinct wavelengths for targeting different populations of neurons. This can be applied to a variety of neurological disorders. The device features a load regulator circuit that shares the available power budget between two LEDs in a power-efficient and controlled way suppressing the need for adaptive matching and overvoltage protection circuits. Furthermore, the regulator circuit is capable of detecting power burst availability on the device and generating a control signal, accordingly. For 5.25 -mW acoustic power at the device's surface, the rectified voltage, and the total current load of the system are regulated to 2.79 V and 600A , respectively. The maximum chip and device efficiencies of 92.5% and 31.8% are measured, respectively.
