Pandangan pengguna keatas produk Agromas/ Amin Pata, Amir Budin &Basri Mahadi
Kajian terhadap pandangan pengguna keatas produk AgroMas adalah amat berguna kepada pihak FAMA, terutamanya bagi Bahagian Proses FAMA. Kajian ini merupakan satu usaha kami untuk memenuhi sebahagian dari syarat untuk memperolehi Diploma Pentadbiran Awam. Kajian ini dilaksanakan disekitar bandaraya Kuching yang merangkumi Bandaraya Kuching Utara dan Bandaraya Kuching Selatan. Kajian ini adalah bertujuan untuk membuat tinjauan dan analisa terhadap pandangan pengguna keatas produk AgroMas dimana tumpuan adalah kepada strategi pemasaran yang meliputi promosi, bekalan barangan dan sebagainya. Sejak 1988 sehingga tahun 2000 FAMA Sarawak tidak pemah mencapai sasaran jualan barangan AgroMas. Kaedah pengumpulan data dijalankan melalui “Exploratory Design, Simple Random Sampling, Cross Tabulation” dan kaedah “Frequency Distribution”. Daripada 200 responden yang mengembalikan borang kaji selidik, didapati hanya 40% (80 orang) yang mengetahui produk AgroMas berbanding 60% (120 Orang) yang tidak mengetahui. Daripada 40% yang mengetahui hanya 27.5% yang benar-benar menggunakan produk AgroMas
Development of nanoemulsion for efficient brain parenteral delivery of cefuroxime: designs, characterizations, and pharmacokinetics

This presents a major challenge in neuro-drug delivery. This study attempts to fabricate the cefuroxime-loaded nanoemulsion (CLN) to increase drug penetration into the brain when parenterally administered. Methods: The nanoemulsions were formulated using a high-pressure homogenization technique and were characterized for their physicochemical properties. Results: The characterizations revealed a particle size of 100.32±0.75 nm, polydispersity index of 0.18±0.01, zeta potential of -46.9±1.39 mV, viscosity of 1.24±0.34 cps, and osmolality of 285.33±0.58 mOsm/kg, indicating that the nanoemulsion has compatibility for parenteral application. CLN was physicochemically stable within 6 months of storage at 4°C, and the transmission electron microscopy revealed that the CLN droplets were almost spherical in shape. The in vitro release of CLN profile followed a sustained release pattern. The pharmacokinetic profile of CLN showed a significantly higher Cmax, area under the curve (AUC)0–t, prolonged half-life, and lower total plasma clearance, indicating that the systemic concentration of cefuroxime was higher in CLN-treated rats as compared to cefuroxime-free treated rats. A similar profile was obtained for the biodistribution of cefuroxime in the brain, in which CLN showed a significantly higher Cmax, AUC0–t, prolonged half-life, and lower clearance as compared to free cefuroxime solution. Conclusion: Overall, CLN showed excellent physicochemical properties, fulfilled the requirements for parenteral administration, and presented improved in vivo pharmacokinetic profile, which reflected its practical approach to enhance cefuroxime delivery to the brain. Effects of free amino acid and biogenic amine formation on product quality of bonito lakerda during ripening
Bu çalışmada, palamut lakerdası üretiminde olgunlaşma sırasında meydana gelen amino asit değişimi ve biyojen amin oluşumunun tespiti hedeflenmiş, yanı sıra sarımsak ekstraktı ilavesinin ürün kalitesine etkileri incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla kuru tuzlama yöntemi ile muamele edilen taze palamut balıkları, +4°C, 15°C ve 20°C olmak üzere 3 farklı sıcaklıkta olgunlaştırılmıştır. Olgunlaşma sırasında biyojen amin oluşumunun inhibisyonu için; her gruba sarımsak ekstraktı ilave edilmiştir. Lakerda ürünlerin karakteristik özellikleri ise duyusal, mikrobiyolojik ve kimyasal analizlerle belirlenmiştir. Ürünlerin olgunlaşma süreci, +4°C'de 22 gün, 15°C'de 17 gün ve 20°C'de ise 15 günde tamamlanmış, duyusal ve fiziksel analizlerle lakerdanın tipik tuz aromasına sahip, mat pembe renkli sulu et dokusunda ürünler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Besinsel açıdan ise +4°C'de olgunlaşan sarımsaksız lakerdanın %52,22 su, %14,64 ham protein, %17,39 ham yağ ve %15,14 oranında ham kül içerdiği belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, farklı sıcaklık uygulamalarının lakerdada amino asit oluşumunu hızlandırdığı ve biyojen amin üretimini etkilediği, kullanılan sarımsak ekstraktının ise üründe oksidasyonu ve biyojen amin oluşumunu baskıladığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada ayrıca biyojen amin üretiminden sorumlu, toplam 46 bakteri izole edilmiştir. İzole edilen bu amin pozitif bakteri izolatlarınının; histidinde; karboksilaz yeteneklerinin olmadığı, ancak putresin ve kadaverin oluşturabildikleri saptanmıştır.In this study, changes in amino acid concentration and biogenic amine formation of bonito lakerda were determined during production. In addition, the effects of garlic extract supplement on the product quality were inverstigated. For this purpose, fresh bonitos handled with dry salting method were ripened at three different temperatures of +4°C, 15°C, and 20°C. During the ripening period, garlic extracts were added to all groups in order to inhibit biogenic amin formation. The characteristics of the lakerda product were determined via sensory, microbiological and chemical analysis. Ripening periods were determined as 22, 17, and 15 days at +4°C, 15°C and 20°C, respectively. Sensory and physical analysis indicated that lakerda products had typically a salty taste, dull pinkish color and juicy texture. In terms of nutritional properties, results showed that lakerda samples that were processed with garlic at +4°C contained 52.22% water, 14.64% protein, 17.39% lipid, and 15.14% ash. Different temperature applications accelerated the amino acid formation and affected biogenic amine production, while supplementation with garlic extract prevented lipid oxidation and biogenic amine formation. A total of 46 bacterial strains responsible for biogenic amine formation was isolated from lakerda products. Isolated strains were not able to decarboxylate histidine to histamine, but were able to form putresin and cadaverine
Development of a computer program for shaft design / Basri Ibrahim and Nang Jamilah Nik Omar
In this report, a computer program was written in order to determine the size of a shaft to be used for power transmission. The uniform or stepped solid shaft under consideration is supported on two bearings and to be made from any material with known properties. S.I. Units are used throughout the design. The program consists of main program and nine subprograms to facilitate the computation at which is based on ASME Code (formula that establish by the American Society Of Mechanical Engineers in 1927) using the FORTRAN POWERSTATION VERSION 4.0 where The Microsoft Developer Studio is an integrated development environment for Fortran applications. This will enable the Personal Computer to be used to run the program. Then the program been tested and the results obtained were compared with the manual calculation validation. The author hope that this program will be useful for educational purpose and hopefully will help to certain extent the Mechanical Engineering Student who are studying about the shaft design
Analisis gender dalam novel “aku lupa bahwa aku perempuan” karya ihsan quddus perspektif emansipasi perempuan qasim amin
Sejumlah karya sastra seringkali masih menghadirkan narasi bias gender yang merugikan perempuan. Hal ini disebabkan penulis kurang memiliki kepekaan gender dan pemahaman konsep gender, sehingga tidak mampu mengintegrasikannya ke dalam tulisannya. Kertas kerja ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis novel karya Ihsan Qudus yang berjudul “Saya Lupa Bahwa Saya Adalah Seorang Perempuan”. Judul novel tersebut terkesan provokatif dan diskriminatif terhadap perempuan. Namun jika dilihat dengan analisis kritis, ditemukan hasil yang berbeda dan menarik. Sosok perempuan sebagai tokoh utama dalam novel tersebut menggambarkan bentuk perlawanan perempuan di tengah latar belakang sosial budaya masyarakat Mesir yang masih meninggalkan bias gender dan diskriminasi terhadap perempuan. Melalui novel ini, novelis ingin mengungkap fakta bahwa perempuan di Mesir juga memiliki kepekaan gender, meniti karir, menempati posisi strategis, mendominasi ruang publik dan berkontribusi bagi kemajuan bangsanya. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, analisis gender dan cara pandang Qasim Amin tentang emansipasi perempuan, hasilnya ditemukan nilai-nilai kesetaraan gender dalam novel “Saya lupa bahwa saya perempuan”, yaitu keberhasilan Suad dalam mewujudkan semua mimpinya. Sedangkan permasalahan gender yang ditemukan dalam novel ini adalah konstruksi budaya Mesir yang membatasi peran perempuan dalam masyarakat, baik dari aspek akses, partisipasi, penguasaan sumber daya dan manfaat bagi laki-laki maupun perempuan dalam kehidupan. Terdapat pula diskriminasi gender berupa stereotipe gender, subordinasi, marginalisasi, beban ganda dan kekerasan berbasis gender

The development of the era and the development of literary science make novels not only fictional. The novel 49 Hari Kisah Penantang Gelombang by Nuril Basri is written based on the reality that occurs in the real world, so it can be called a biographical novel. Starting from human existence in facing a series of extreme problems that arise in real life, then reproduced by the author into a biographical novel. The purpose of this study is to describe the author’s struggling value in writing the novel 49 Hari Kisah Penantang Gelombang. To reveal these values, the theory on the aspect of struggle values will be utilized. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with Abrams' expressive criticism approach to the sociology of the author. The data collection technique used is documentation study. While the data analysis technique is qualitative data analysis. The results of the study show the values of struggle: persistence, patience, never giving up, and the responsibility of a novelist in conducting research to reproduce true stories into literary works in the biographical novel genre
