Phenomenon that occurs in society, many women who have come to know and understand about blood, this situation is very worrying because it can affect many things. One of them is divorce, where the condition of the woman who is being served affects whether or not her husband can release the divorce. The essence of the problem that the author wants to explore is the criteria for menstrual blood in the perspective of fiqh syafi`iyah and the relationship between blood and talak bid`iy in the perspective of syafi`iyyah fiqh. This research is a library research using descriptive analysis method and qualitative approach. Regarding data sources, the author only needs written data sources, namely by referring to primary and secondary sources. The primary sources of the book al-Mahalli (Kanz al-Raghibin `ala Syarh Minhaj al-Thalibin), Fath al-Wahab, Hasyiah Bujairimi` Alal-Khathiib. Meanwhile, the secondary sources of the authors take from the data that the authors search through online media or the internet. The results that the authors found; First, that blood has several criteria according to the review of fiqh shafi`iyah, these criteria are based on the age of the woman, the validity period, the character of the blood that is born which is stronger and weaker, and the condition of bleeding is normal and abnormal. Second, menstrual blood has a close relationship with bid`iy talak, because talak is only classified as bid`iy, if a person mentions his wife is right during menstruation, if it is not right during menstruation, then talak is dropped from bid`iy divorce. The author really hopes that the study that the author has described can be made new for women in particular and Muslims in general

پیر کرم شاہ کی کتاب ضیاء النبی ﷺکااستدلالی جائزہ : An argumentative review of Pir Karam Shah's book Zia-ul-Nabi ﷺ

The Sirah of the last Prophet (SAW) of Allah Almighty is an authoritative source of Islamic Shariah. Justice Pir Muhammad Karam Shah Al-Azhari's work is a khizrah for researchers of Islamic sciences. Like other languages, Urdu language is expanding and developing and those who study literature and history in historical order are well aware of this fact, which is the proof that Urdu language is a living language. This is the reason why while writing Zia-ul-Nabi (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) the distinguished author made a conscious effort to write the book in such a clean, smooth and refined language that all sections of the society would benefit from it. In the biographical books written in Urdu language, Shamail Nabi ﷺ has been mentioned in a very beautiful way, but the style of love adopted by Pir Muhammad Karam Shah Al-Azhari is unique. In the style of "Zia-ul-Nabi". It has populated the world of taste and passion. Every page is a message of life in dark hearts. Every word gives eternal life to dead souls. This aesthetic aspect of the biography has been expressed by some other biographers, but in the work under review, this aspect has been specially taken into consideration. The author has mentioned the special condition that he feels while writing the lines in the discussion of Shamail Nabwi (peace be upon him). On the one hand, this gives an idea of the author's love and affection for these places. Biography is actually the honor and honor that Allah Almighty bestows on everyone who is a questioner of this street. Even the greatest honor and honor when he reaches this little love, he is like a beggar asking for mercy. There is hope for intercession. While narrating the various events of Shamail Mustafa, the use of language and idioms is a reason for more attraction for the reader. Ziya-ul-Nabi is a complete description of the universal personality of the Lord of the Universe, may God bless him and grant him peace

Mapping the change of coral reefs using remote sensing and in situ measurements: a case study in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency, Spermonde Archipelago, Indonesia

As elsewhere in Indonesia, local inhabitants in the Pangkajene and Kepulauan (PANGKEP) Regency, Spermonde Archipelago area and along the south-west coast of Sulawesi traditionally regard the coral reefs as their livelihood source. Since human activities as well as natural disturbances pose major threats to the coral reefs, these livelihoods may also be at risk. Currently, no comprehensive information on the status and condition of coral reefs in this area is available for this resource management. We determined the changes of coral reef habitat over a period of 20 years from 1994 to 2014 using a satellite Landsat multi-temporal image substantiated with in situ measurement data collected in 2014. The spectral value of coral reefs was extracted from multi-temporal Landsat imagery data, while the diffuse attenuation coefficient of water was obtained by using statistical analysis between the ratio of live coral cover and the spectral value of the visible bands. By using the unsupervised classification integrated with the data ground truth, it is stated that there has been a decline in live coral cover over a period of 20 years from 7716 ha in 1994 to 4236 ha in 2014, with a degradation rate of 174 ha/year. Based on the results, the ratio of the coral cover in the coral reef transects varied from the average of 24% for live corals to 96% for coral rubbles, implying the degraded status of coral reefs in the study area

Coral reefs in the world's tropical and subtropical oceans have long been under considerable threat. The aims of this study were to identify the types of threat affecting coral reefs, to conduct a sensitivity analysis to assess the sustainability of coral reef ecosystems, and to suggest alternative strategies that should be deployed to improve the status of coral reef ecosystems in the Pangkajene and Kepulauan (PANGKEP) Regency, Spermonde Archipelago, Indonesia. The data obtained were analyzed using the rapid appraisal technique for fisheries (RAPFISH) and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The RAPFISH analysis identified 41 types of threat to the status of coral reef ecosystems, based on five indices: economic (51.92), social (47.33), technological (47.26), legal and institutional (45.60), and ecological (37.65). The averaged cumulative index of coral reef ecosystem sustainability was 45.95, within a threshold denoting a "less sustainable" status. The AHP analysis suggested that several alternative strategies are needed to improve the status of coral reef ecosystems, with greater prioritization of socialization, campaigns, and education, followed by law enforcement, selectivity in the use of fishing gear, rehabilitation of coral reef ecosystems, and restocking of fish in coral reefs. The findings of this study can be used as points of reference when local policymakers begin to formulate appropriate strategies for the sustainable use of coral reef ecosystems

Assessing economic values of coral reefs in the Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency, Spermonde Archipelago, Indonesia

Coral reef ecosystems possess tangible and intangible economic benefits to human society that are still underestimated and not fully understood. This study aims: to determine 1) economic benefits and economic losses due to coral reef damage, 2) compensation values as replacement costs for damaged coral reefs as well as references to sustainable coral reef management. Based on the calculation, the TEV of coral reef ecosystems was estimated to be USD 11.96 billion or 2.82 million USD/ha. The economic losses due to coral reef destruction over the 20-year period from 1994 to 2014 were USD 1 billion or 50.18 million USD/yr. We anticipate that the economic loss of coral reefs will continue to rise due to the intensification of destructive fishing practices. Therefore, an effective management policy should be established to prevent further destruction of coral reefs in this area in the future. This study suggests that tangible procedures for compensation for coral damage and law enforcement for destroyers are required to be implemented to reduce the economic losses of coral reefs, and the economic values estimated in this study can be a quantitative reference for various stakeholders to build a concensus for designing coral reef recovery programs in the future

The purpose of this study is to find out the role of individual's psychological factors in determining entrepreneurial orientation and to examine if the relationship could be moderated by non-psychological factors? Reflecting on competency theory as a specific theoretical foundation and resource based theory as an overarching theory, impact of four psychological factors i.e. self-confidence, internal locus of control, tolerance of ambiguity, and propensity to take risk and two non-psychological factors i.e. role of education and role of supportive environment were studied in relationship to their impact on entrepreneurial orientation. Unit of analysis of this cross sectional study was individual entrepreneurs operating their food-related business (retail outlets) at micro level. The results of survey explain that psychological factors affect entrepreneurial orientation and non-psychological factors moderate this relationship. Findings of this study can be adopted by high risk ventures capitalists to assess entrepreneurial capabilities to improve return on investment as well as by managers in the new employees hiring process

EAL instructors' attitudes towards game-based learning adoption in education: Obstacles and opportunities

    No full text
Due to the importance of game-based learning (GBL) for teaching and language learning, numerous studies (Hamzah, et al., 2015; Sánchez-Mena et al., 2016; Teo et al., 2019) have looked at students’ acceptance of GBL for language acquisition. However, little research has been conducted on teachers’ attitudes towards GBL in English as Additional Language (EAL) and English as a Second Language (ESL) contexts. Qualitative study on the obstacles and opportunities of GBL from the perspective of teachers is underreported in the literature. Hence, the objective of the current study is to explore teachers’ attitudes towards GBL as well as opportunities and obstacles in an EAL context. The study used a survey and interview to collect data. The survey data was gathered from eight university EAP teachers. Four of the survey respondents participated in interviews to explore the opportunities and obstacles of GBL. The quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and the qualitative data was analyzed through thematic analysis and description. The findings of the survey data revealed that the factors of usefulness, attitude, and social influence contribute to the use of GBL. The analysis of the interview data highlighted some themes associated with opportunities of GBL such as student-centeredness, self-discovery, improvement of different language components, fun learning, and motivation, while three themes, namely preparation time, reluctance to use, and learning style, were highlighted as the obstacles of using GBL. The implication of the study is that teachers acknowledge the benefits of GBL but they need support and further professional development to help overcome the obstacles of GBL.game-based learningEnglish as a second language teachersEnglish as additional language teachersopportunitiesobstaclesunified theory of acceptance and use of technolog
