    No full text
The study explores the determinants of e-commerce adoption by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan regarding organizational, industry, and national readiness, the mediating role of perceived strategic value. This was done with a quantitative study utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM) to test the hypothesized conceptual model by using the data obtained in a sample of SME managers. The results show that the three dimensions of readiness have significant and positive impacts on the adoption of e-commerce, where national readiness plays the most significant impact. In addition, perceived strategic value was discovered to privately moderate the interrelations between organizational and national preparedness and e-commerce adoption. These findings illustrate the importance of managerial perceptions in converting readiness to adoption choices and provide practical guidelines to make SME managers and policymakers in emerging economies more successful in establishing an environment of digital transformation

This research article presents a linguistic and intellectual analysis of the Hindko poetic translation of the Holy Qur’an by the renowned poet and scholar, Abdul Ghafoor Malik. The study situates the translation within the broader historical and literary context of the Hindko language, aiming to understand its impact on religious expression in a regional linguistic framework. The article begins by outlining the historical development and cultural relevance of the Hindko language, thereby establishing a foundation for assessing the Qur’anic translation’s reception and significance. It further explores the tradition of poetic translations of the Qur’an in Islamic history, shedding light on how, across different eras, the meanings of the Qur’an have been conveyed through verse in various languages. The paper also examines the Islamic legal discourse concerning the permissibility and limits of rendering the Qur’anic text into poetry, with reference to classical jurists and contemporary scholars. Through a critical linguistic analysis of Malik’s poetic style, diction, rhythm, and semantic clarity, the article highlights the effectiveness of conveying the Qur’anic message in Hindko. The findings reveal that this translation not only enriches the religious and intellectual heritage of Hindko literature but also serves as a distinguished example of local-language Qur’anic understanding. It also illustrates that while religious writing in Hindko has historically been limited, Abdul Ghafoor Malik’s work represents a significant milestone. The study recommends the promotion of Qur’anic expression in regional languages like Hindko and calls for further scholarly exploration in the domain of vernacular religious literature. It also suggests incorporating such translations into the curricula of religious seminaries and universities to strengthen grassroots comprehension of Islamic teachings

EMPOWERING YOUTH THROUGH TVET: AN EVALUATION OF SKILLING YOUTH FOR INCOME GENERATION TRAINING INSTITUTES IN PUNJAB

    No full text
Objective: This study offers a comprehensive evaluation of the Skilling Youth for Income Generation (SYIG) program, a public initiative for skill development managed by the Punjab Skills Development Fund in Pakistan. Research Gap: Although investments in technical and vocational education are increasing, there is limited evidence on how institutional structures and the provision of services influence training results. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study presents a thorough institutional analysis of the SYIG program's training institutes, examining their governance structures, funding mechanisms, and stakeholder coordination. It also evaluates the quality, relevance, and accessibility of the training programs to assess their alignment with industry standards, learner needs, and goals for equitable access. The in-depth analysis was conducted through focus group discussions and key informant interviews with training service providers (TSPs), government officials, policy experts, and employers. The Main Findings: Content analysis reveals that though SYIG has effectively engaged marginalized groups, promoted demand-driven trades, and maintained transparent governance, its overall impact faces limitations due to institutional, financial, and operational challenges. Theoretical / Practical Implications of the Findings: The To develop into a comprehensive workforce platform, SYIG needs to implement a long-term, politically neutral skills roadmap backed by steady funding, district-level job market assessments, and stronger ties with industry. Important reforms may involve updating training content to emphasize practical and soft skills, improving trainer qualifications, and redesigning the funding system to balance costs with quality. Increasing access for women, rural communities, and people with disabilities, along with better placement services, certification reforms, and employer collaborations, is vital for improving employment outcomes
