- Die transformatorische Entwicklung der Kunstformen soll als improvisatorisch begriffen werden.
Die Praxis der Improvisation kann mit anderen Worten als theoretisches Modell für das Verständnis der dynamischen Konstruktion und der interaktiven Beziehung von Kunstformen angewendet werden
Antibiotics and Carbohydrate-Containing Drugs Targeting Bacterial Cell Envelopes: An Overview
No full textCertain bacteria constitute a threat to humans due to their ability to escape host defenses as they easily develop drug resistance. Bacteria are classified into gram-positive and gram-negative according to the composition of the cell membrane structure. Gram-negative bacteria have an additional outer membrane (OM) that is not present in their gram-positive counterpart; the latter instead hold a thicker peptidoglycan (PG) layer. This review covers the main structural and functional properties of cell wall polysaccharides (CWPs) and PG. Drugs targeting CWPs are discussed, both noncarbohydrate-related (β-lactams, fosfomycin, and lipopeptides) and carbohydrate-related (glycopeptides and lipoglycopeptides). Bacterial resistance to these drugs continues to evolve, which calls for novel antibacterial approaches to be developed. The use of carbohydrate-based vaccines as a valid strategy to prevent bacterial infections is also addressed

No full textThe article on the example of the novel by the Polish fantasy author Maja Lidia Kossakowska, Ruda sfora, shows how the sacrum is manifested in the literary space in this genre, which values and qualities are sanctified and opposed to what. In order to build a typical for the genre’s plot – the struggle between the forces of good and evil – Kossakowska used shamanic beliefs of the Yakuts. Electrical properties and band diagram of InSb-InAs nanowire type-III heterojunctions
No full textThe electrical properties of nanowire-based n-InSb-n-InAs heterojunctions were investigated theoretically and experimentally. Analysis of the current-voltage characteristics showed that the current through the heterojunction is caused mostly by generation-recombination processes in the InSb and at the heterointerface. Due to the partially overlapping valence band of InSb and the conduction band of InAs, the second process is fast and activationless. Theoretical analysis showed that, depending on the heterojunction parameters, the flux of non-equilibrium minority carriers may have a different direction, explaining the experimentally observed non-monotonic coordinate dependence of the electron beam induced current

No full textInSb-InAs nanowire heterostructure diodes investigated by electron beam induced current (EBIC) demonstrate an unusual spatial profile where the sign of the EBIC signal changes in the vicinity of the heterointerface. A qualitative explanation confirmed by theoretical calculations is based on the specific band diagram of the structure representing a type-III heterojunction with an accumulation layer in InAs. The sign of the EBIC signal depends on the specific parameters of this layer. In the course of measurements, the diffusion length of holes in InAs and its temperature dependence are also determined

No full text[Introduction]. The correct application of the Communitarian Law produced by an International Integration Organization implies that States Members have to make political and legal internal reforms. However, those obligations are not always undertaken by the States and, therefore, the goals of the integration process cannot be reached. As 2005 was very crucial for the conformation of the Andean Common Market, it is quite important to study the different mechanisms for application of the Communitarian Law within the Member States and the comparison of them with those of the successful European Union experience. This historical context is the frame within which we are going to undertake the study and investigation of the political and legal reforms that facilitate the application of Andean Communitarian Law made by Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. This research is not going to consider the case of Colombia because that issue is being addressed in other broader and deeper academic investigation
How the bedrock structure determines development of translational landslide? An example of the Włodowice landslide in the Nowa Ruda Basin, Central Sudetes
No full textIn this contribution the author presents the results of geological and geomorphological field mapping and structural analyses conducted within the area of a newly recognized landslide situated near Włodowice, in the southern part of the Nowa Ruda Basin (Central Sudetes, SW Poland). The landform is located within the eastern limb of the Intra-Sudetic Synclinorium (Nowa Ruda Monocline) built of Upper Carboniferous to Lower Permian (Rotliegend) sedimentary rocks. Geomorphological characteristics of the landslide are presented, but the greatest attention is paid to the way of transformation of individual structural elements of basement rocks (bedding surfaces, sets of fractures) by mass movements. The study allows recognition and interpretation of landslide type according to failure mechanism - the analysed form represents a typical translational landslide with a flat, structural slip surface related to bedding planes. A model of the development of a translational landslide under specific geological conditions (monoclinal structure built of different lithological varieties of sedimentary rocks with different rheological properties) is presented. Due to the partial exposure of the slip surface in the upper and lower parts of the landslide, the form should be considered unique among the previously identified landslides in the Sudetes Mts. During this study the author repeatedly confirms the usefulness of analyses of LiDAR models in landslide investigations
