The company sees and evaluates that the performance of the author for the client is excellent, therefore the author gets the opportunity to work as a technician. The two-month internship programme is scheduled for October 2 and December 2, 2023. Working days at the Youth Independent Horizon are from Monday to Friday. The internship model applied at PT Cakrawala Muda Indiri is full-time. In carrying out his duties as an internship student, the CMM party divided it into two sections: administration and technicians, so the writer gained work experience during the internships taking place in the technician section. No full textStudiens syfte är att synliggöra lärares inställning till läslust samt hur lusten för läsning omsätts i undervisningen. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats, då den ämnar besvara våra forskningsfrågor genom djupgående intervjuer. Studien bygger på den insamlade empirin för läsfrämjande undervisningsmetoder som tre lärare i svenska för årskurs 4–6 upplever fungerar i deras klassrum. Studien grundar sig på den sociokulturella teorin där lärande och utveckling sker via sociala och kulturella redskap. Hur skapas en lust för läsning i grundskolan och vilka metoder uppfattas fungera bland lärare i den verkliga skolan? För att besvara detta har studien följande forskningsfrågor: · Vilken inställning har lärare till läslust? · Vilka aspekter påverkar elevers läslust enligt lärare? · Vilka undervisningsmetoder använder sig lärare av för att främja elevers läslust? Resultatet visar att lärare i svenska främst arbetar med gemensam läsning, detta är högläsning i grupp och helklass. Det visar även att det kooperativa arbetssättet i läsundervisningen främjar elevers läslust, läsförståelse och möjliggör till interaktion. Dessutom visar resultatet att läslust är personlig. En inre känsla som väcker nyfikenhet till att vilja veta mer och väcker lust till nya kunskaper och upplevelser.
An EmrB multidrug efflux pump in Burkholderia thailandensis with unexpected roles in antibiotic resistance

The antibiotic trimethoprim is frequently used to manage Burkholderia infections, and members of the resistance-nodulation-division (RND) family of efflux pumps have been implicated in multidrug resistance of this species complex. We show here that a member of the distinct Escherichia coli multidrug resistance B (EmrB) family is a primary exporter of trimethoprim in Burkholderia thailandensis, as evidenced by increased trimethoprim sensitivity after inactivation of emrB, the gene that encodes EmrB. We also found that the emrB gene is up-regulated following the addition of gentamicin and that this up-regulation is due to repression of the gene encoding OstR, a member of the multiple antibiotic resistance regulator (MarR) family. The addition of the oxidants H2O2 and CuCl2 to B. thailandensis cultures resulted in OstR-dependent differential emrB expression, as determined by qRT-PCR analysis. Specifically, OstR functions as a rheostat that optimizes emrB expression under oxidizing conditions, and it senses oxidants by a unique mechanism involving two vicinal cysteines and one distant cysteine (Cys3, Cys4, and Cys169) per monomer. Paradoxically, emrB inactivation increased resistance of B. thailandensis to tetracycline, a phenomenon that correlated with up-regulation of an RND efflux pump. These observations highlight the intricate mechanisms by which expression of genes that encode efflux pumps is optimized depending on cellular concentrations of antibiotics and oxidants
Automated Traffic Detection System Based on Image Processing
No full textThis paper proposes a low-cost automated traffic detection system based on image processing. Dhaka is one of the crowded cities in the world with highly challenging traffic system. There is substantial lack of awareness among the drivers of transport system. As a result, citizens do not follow the rules and regulation while driving in Dhaka city. The tendency of violating the traffic regulation is noticeable throughout the country. As a result, the whole traffic system collapses very often and sometimes it ends-up with severe accidents. In recent days, the government has taken different initiatives including enlargement of pedestrian walkways, building new flyovers and foot-over bridges, expansion of existing roads. But, violation still the outcome of all these initiatives could not improve the situation significantly. The proposed system will automatically detect the traffic through live streaming video so that the detected images can be used to detect traffic violation. Later on, the law enforcement agency will be able to take necessary legal steps based on the stored information on the database

Le tentazioni dell'altrove. Erotismo e alterita'
No full textLa tesi cerca di rispondere alla domanda: perché l'esotismo si lega spesso con l'erotismo? Attraverso le teorie di Francesco Orlando e di Matte Blanco per la letteratura e di G. Bataille per l'erotismo si tenta una soluzione attraverso il concetto di formazione di compromesso e di ritorno del represso. Si cercherà di dimostrare, cioè, che l'erotismo è in grado di inserire nel testo letterario zone di ambiguità e contrasto rispetto alla linea principale del pensiero dominante, quello imperialista. Il rapporto erotico con l'altro si rivela capace di contrapporsi in varia misura all'ideologia coloniale creando una contraddizione tra attrazione e pregiudizi razziali. Si creerà nel testo quello che è stato definito un ritorno del represso erotico, in cui è, appunto, l'erotismo a veicolare delle spinte in grado di dar vita a un contro-discorso. In questa senso certa letteratura legata all'esotismo e al colonialismo concede voce all'alterità, facendone un'alternativa possibile al mondo occidentale. Attraverso una breve rassegna storico-letteraria si passerà poi all'analisi di tre romanzi ritenuti esemplari rispetto all'argomento affrontato: Aziyadé di P. Loti, The Beach of Falesà di R. S. Stevenson e An Outcast of The Islands di J. Conrad. Queste tre opere aiuteranno ad avvicinarsi meglio al paradigma tematico che la tesi tenta di impostare: un ritorno del represso erotico è portatore spesso di un ritorno del represso culturale ed è per questo che erotismo ed esotismo si sono spesso legati in una comune tentazione verso l'alterità
Medical home care and educational service use in children and youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD): A scoping review protocol
No full textChildren and youth with ASD have complex primary and specialty medical care needs to community and other support services. Families of children and youth with ASD navigate multiple intricate service systems, from early childhood through young adulthood. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) asserts the medical home as a best practice standard of care for all children, and particularly autistic children and youth, for accessible, continuous, comprehensive, family centered, coordinated, compassionate, and culturally effective care (AAP, 2002).
While AAP policy and prior conceptual work support the relationship between medical home care and educational service use (Adams & Tapia, 2013), there is lack of evidence on the association between medical home care and educational service use for the pediatric autism population (Shahidullah et al., 2018) conditional on select sample demographic (e.g., predisposing, enabling, and need factors) (Andersen et. Al., 2013). Therefore, a scoping review is an appropriate method to examine the breadth of available research on medical home care, as defined by the AAP, and its association with educational service use or children and youth with ASD

The purpose of adding this construction is to increase the strength of the bow of the barge because the bow is often docked to the jeti (dock) and is easily deformed. The purpose of the author in this case uses a solution using the Ansys application. ANSYS is one of the software used to analyze various kinds of structures, fluid flow, and heat transfer from several other analysis software, namely Nastran, Catia, Fluent, and others. No full textThis investigation was carried out to study the effect of calcium chloride and storage period on fruit quality of Golden delicious apple cv. Collected at mature stage from private farm at Elbeida region. The fruits were stored at refrigerators of Horticultural Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Omar Al-Mukhtar University. Through the growing season of 2014/2015. The University, through 0.5 and 1% treatments contained three CaCl2 concentrations vis. 0, at five storage periods (0, 1, 2, 3, 4) weeks. Obtained results revealed that using CaCl2 at both concentrations improved most fruit quality parameters throughout storage periods
