To this end, this paper investigates the issues associated with such negotiation in facilitating agent mediated mobile commerce (many of which also apply to the wider electronic commerce domain). Specifically, we discuss the protocol and strategies for evaluating and generating sets of issues when negotiating for a service in a future generation mobile telecommunication environment

Estimating the parameters of globular cluster M 30 (NGC 7099) from time-series photometry
No full textAims. We present the analysis of 26 nights of V and I time-series observations from 2011 and 2012 of the globular cluster M 30 (NGC 7099). We used our data to search for variable stars in this cluster and refine the periods of known variables; we then used our variable star light curves to derive values for the cluster's parameters. Methods. We used difference image analysis to reduce our data to obtain high-precision light curves of variable stars. We then estimated the cluster parameters by performing a Fourier decomposition of the light curves of RR Lyrae stars for which a good period estimate was possible. We also derived an estimate for the age of the cluster by fitting theoretical isochrones to our colour-magnitude diagram (CMD). Results. Out of 13 stars previously catalogued as variables, we find that only 4 are bona fide variables. We detect two new RR Lyrae variables, and confirm two additional RR Lyrae candidates from the literature. We also detect four other new variables, including an eclipsing blue straggler system, and an SX Phoenicis star. This amounts to a total number of confirmed variable stars in M 30 of 12. We perform Fourier decomposition of the light curves of the RR Lyrae stars to derive cluster parameters using empirical relations. We find a cluster metallicity [Fe/H]ZW =-2.01 ± 0.04, or [Fe/H]UVES =-2.11 ± 0.06, and a distance of 8.32 ± 0.20 kpc (using RR0 variables), 8.10 kpc (using one RR1 variable), and 8.35 ± 0.42 kpc (using our SX Phoenicis star detection in M 30). No full textPenelitian ini membahas pemahaman ‘Abdulla>h bin ‘Abdurrahma>n al-Bassa>m (w.1423 H) terhadap hadis-hadis khiya>r yang termuat dalam kitab Tawd}i>h} al-Ah}ka>m min Bulu>g al-Mara>m. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada analisis kontekstual atas penjelasan al-Bassa>m dalam kitab Tawd}i>h} al-Ah}ka>m terkait berbagai bentuk khiya>r dalam transaksi jual beli. Dengan kemajuan teknologi telah mengubah wajah transaksi jual beli di masa kontemporer, maka hal ini menimbulkan persoalan mengenai bentuk khiya>r dalam transaksi jual beli.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui syarah al-Bassa>m tentang hadis-hadis khiya>r. Syarah tersebut kemudian dihubungkan dengan transaksi jual beli kontemporer. Penelitian ini menggali sejauh mana pandangan al-Bassa>m dapat diterapkan dalam transaksi masa kini. Kemudian melihat pensyarahan al-Bassa>m dalam menjawab problematika transaksi jual beli khususnya pada praktik khiya>r.
Kerangka berpikir dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan menelusuri hadis-hadis khiya>r dalam kitab Bulu>g al-Mara>m, kemudian menganalisis syarah yang terdapat pada kitab Tawd{i>h} al-Ah}ka>m, dan mengaitkannya dengan praktik khiyar dalam konteks jual beli kontemporer.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan kontekstual-historis. Penulis mengumpulkan hadis-hadis khiya>r dari kitab Bulu>g al-Mara>m, kemudian menganalisisnya dengan meninjau syarah Tawd}i>h} al-Ah}ka>m dan interpretasi al-Bassa>m serta merelevansikannya dengan praktik jual beli masa kontemporer.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa al-Bassa>m memaknai khiya>r sebagai prinsip perlindungan konsumen yang menekankan keadilan, kejujuran, dan keterbukaan dalam akad jual beli. Bentuk-bentuk khiya>r seperti khiya>r majlis dan khiya>r gaban dijelaskan dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi sosial ekonomi masa kontemporer. Khiya>r majlis sebagai hak jual beli sebelum berpisah, al-Bassa>m memaknai nya bukan hanya berpisah secara fisik tetapi transaksi yang belum selesai. Khiya>r gaban artinya hak ketika terjadi ketimpangan harga dan salah satu pihak dirugikan besar saat transaksi. Al-Bassa>m tidak hanya menukil pendapat ulama klasik, tetapi juga memberikan penekanan pada penyesuaian hukum Islam yang terdapat dalam hadis Nabi saw dalam merespons perubahan zaman. Hal ini menjadikan syarah Tawd}i>h} al-Ah}ka>m relevan dalam konteks fiqih muamalah kontemporer
