Seyyid Alî el-Bursevî's (ö.931/1524) work named Şerhu Dîbâceti'l Misbâh. This vertification has been written by Ahmed b. İmâd el-Hanefî el-Âyıntâbî who is one of the Ottoman scholars. The subject of my thesis is about the verification of Hasiye, known as Hamdiyyewritten by Ahmed b. Imad el-Hanei el-Ayintabi, which explains Şerhu Dibaceti'l Misbah that was written by Yakup b. Seyyid elbursevi on el-Misbah which is belong to Mutarrize. We could not reach any information about him in our search, it is likely becauseof Author Ahmed b. Imad el-Hanefi being in rural area. However, we indicated the lists of books that we searched under the method of research. Islamization of Knowledge: A Methodology

Islamization of Knowledge: A Methodology By Imad al Din Khalil, Herndon, VA & London, UK: IIt, 1991, 28 pp., Occasional papers Series.   This well-Written book comprehensively outlines the basic precepts on which on concept and a program of Islamization of knowledge must, according to the author, rest. In his attempt to outline these directions, the author first defines the concept of Islamization as ... practing (i.e., discovering, compiling, piecing together, communicating and publishing) intellectual activity based on the Islamic concept of the universe” (p. 5). He further states that “Islamization‟ covers everthing within the realm of the true belief in the existence of Allah SWT” (p. 5). This definition is enhanced by Khalil‟ unequivocal reference to the Shariah and fiqh, the derivative of the Quran and the Sunnah, as being the principal background for the Islamization process. Another important aspect of Islamization

L’impact économique de la langue française au Maroc : Cas des centres d’appels

    No full text

Investigating the Impact of French Grammar Knowledge on English Grammar Acquisition in Moroccan EFL University Students: A Correlational Analysis

    No full text
This study investigates the relationship between French and English grammar proficiency among university students in Meknes, Morocco. A statistically significant positive correlation (r = 0.797, p < 0.01) was found between French and English grammar test scores. This suggests that students with stronger French grammar skills also tend to perform better on the English grammar test. Aligning with research on positive grammar transfer, this finding highlights the potential benefits of a strong foundation in French grammar for Moroccan students learning English. However, the study acknowledges the limitations of a correlational design. Further research is needed to explore the underlying mechanisms that contribute to the observed relationship and the impact of instructional methods. The findings hold valuable implications for various stakeholders in education: educators (utilizing comparative grammar exercises and promoting cross-linguistic awareness), researchers (investigating mechanisms and effective instructional methods), and policymakers (optimizing bilingual education by emphasizing transferable grammar skills in French instruction and curriculum design). By acknowledging the transferability of grammar skills, stakeholders can collaborate to improve overall language proficiency among Moroccan students

The business, economic and policy implications of e-commerce: Lessons for MENA countries

    No full text
The Business, Economic, and Policy Implications of E-Commerce: Lessons for MENA Countries, by Imad Moosa, identifies the likely effects of the development of e-commerce on the countries of the region. The author disaggregates these effects into the institutional and organizational changes that are required in terms of: networked firms and consumers, interactive markets, advertising, consumer search, product choice and pricing, and the emergence of new competitive, product, price, and communication strategies. He then underlines the economic effects of e-commerce in terms of output, prices, productivity, and interaction with a more globalized world. The author also points out some of the illusions pertaining to the impact of the ?new economy? animated by the spectacular developments in the Internet, informatics, and telecommunications services. He argues that the potential increase in productivity generated by the ?new economy? has been exaggerated. The policy implications of the development of e-commerce cover a wide range of areas, notably, technology, trade, regulation, society, finance, and the relationship between government and business. All these implications are important for MENA countries, but the best lesson for the countries of the region, Moosa argues, is that e-commerce is not a magic cure for their economic problems

Steel Slag Aggregate Characteristics Evaluation as Railway Ballast

    No full text
The use of recycled materials is a new tendency in the field of railway engineering. Steel slag aggregates (SSA) are one of the recycled materials derived from the steel industry. The application of SSA in ballasted railway tracks requires mechanical examination. In the present paper, the shear behavior of the ballast layer constructed by SSA and basalt aggregates was considered to assess the use of SSA as a substitution for basalt. In this regard, a series of large-direct shear tests were performed on basalt and SSA under various normal stresses. Based on the results, basalt aggregates have higher shear resistance than SSA for all normal stress. However, steel slag has sufficient shear strength as well as particle abrasion resistance. Overall, it was proven that the SSA has suitable stability against shear forces that could be applied on railway ballast.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository 'You share, we take care!' - Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.Railway Engineerin

Transferability of Privacy-related Behaviours to Shared Smart Home Assistant Devices

    No full text
Smart assistant devices (such as Amazon Echo or Google Home) have notable differences to more conventional consumer computing devices. They can be used through voice control as well as physical interaction, and are often positioned as a shared device within a home environment. We conduct an exploratory online survey with 97 UK-based users of smart assistant devices, to examine the differences users perceive between smart assistants and more familiar devices (such as smartphones and computers), in terms of shared use dynamics, privacy-related behaviours, and privacy concerns. The survey explores typical usage, setup practices, perceived ease of use and control, privacy concerns for multiple users, shared usage of existing devices, and smart assistant privacy control usage. Approximately half of participants were unsure of where to access privacy settings on their smart home assistants; basic device controls and informal privacy controls saw general use. Those who had used privacy controls with previous devices used at least one smart assistant privacy control. Results have implications for supporting transferable privacy behaviours from computing devices to smart home devices, and improving privacy-related design for smart assistants.Accepted Author ManuscriptOrganisation & Governanc
