No full textThe etymology of the word author refers to an act of creation, an act of augmentation, from the Latin verb augere. Author instantiates creation, the expansion of the pre-existing. In 1967 Roland Barthes declared the death of the author in his famous essay to state once more that the crisis is that of the author as a single subjectivity and as a term that condenses prestige, undermined by the de-subjectivation strategies of automatism, fortuity and fragmentation of the historical avant-gardes, as well as by the machinic act and by the reproducibility of the second avant-gardes.
Fifty years after Barthes’ paradigmatic formula, this lack of authorship appears to be a successful brand. The ten- sions between the anomie of matter, the law that establishes authorship and the economy that makes the work pos- sible, invoke discordant perspectives. Artists make the self-destruction of their work the real work, and appeal is made for the demolition of architectures, whether by a recognised author or not, in order to re-design, or better still, re-claim the territory. Artificial intelligence consolidates its logics and its design by progressively shedding human ingenuity. The space of criticism becomes, finally, increasingly ephemeral. However, there is an acceptation of criti- cism that is, rather than an individual ‘signature’, an exploration and explanation of how design makes theory.
The binomial author-matter seeks to mark these tensions and contradictions: the featured term author is main- tained to underline the persistence of that prestigious subjectivity, at the very moment when the rhetoric of “mat- ter as an author” promises other forms of authorship

No full textRispondere alla riflessione che il gruppo di ricerca Tedea propone attraverso il convegno Affresco Italiano richiede uno sforzo, quello di svestirsi per un attimo dalle certezze che nel corso degli anni ci siamo costruiti addosso, tentando di guardarci dall’esterno per capire cosa siamo diventati. Chiamata ad assumere una posizione in merito al rapporto tra teoria e progetto, credo che questo rapporto possa essere saggiato analizzando la figura dell’autore. Ritengo infatti che la domanda più urgente non sia tanto quella relativa alle modalità di costruzione di teoria attraverso il progetto, o di fondazione di un progetto di teoria. Mi pare sia più urgente questionare la costante anamorfosi di un autore che ormai annaspa nel relazionarsi con un sistema di comunicazione divenuto ipertrofico, un autore confuso, stordito da un eccesso di stimoli esterni o in costante stato di allerta, assediato. Per questa ragione, analizzerò la posizione che Michel Foucault espresse nella breve conferenza tenuta nel 1969 al Collège de France, dal titolo "Che cos’è un autore?

No full textIn this article we critically analyze Marini\u27s work, taking into consideration the concepts of labor superexploitation and subimperialism, their evolution in the author\u27s work and the main debates that have been established about them in order to evaluate their relevance and to advance the development of the Marxist theory of dependency. We also highlight the author\u27s readings on imperialism and his approach to world-system analyses to delimit the frameworks and strategies of the struggle for socialism.En este artículo analizamos críticamente la obra de Marini, teniendo en cuenta los conceptos de superexplotación laboral y subimperialismo, su evolución en la obra del autor y los principales debates que se han establecido en torno a ellos para valorar su relevancia y avanzar en el desarrollo de la teoría marxista de la dependencia. También destacamos las lecturas del autor sobre el imperialismo y su aproximación a los análisis del sistema-mundo para delimitar los marcos y estrategias de lucha por el socialismo.Neste artigo analisamos criticamente a obra de Marini, tomando em consideração os conceitos de superexploração do trabalho e subimperialismo, sua evolução na obra do autor e os principais debates que se estabeleceram sobre eles para avaliar sua pertinência e avançar no desenvolvimento da teoria marxista da dependência, Destacamos ainda as leituras do autor sobre o imperialismo e sua aproximação das análises do sistema-mundo para delimitar os marcos e estratégias da luta pelo socialism
Authorial variants in the lyric poems of Pedro de Padilla, between manuscript and printed transmission
No full textLa obra de Pedro de Padilla ha suscitado gran interés, gracias a la edición de muchos de los manuscritos e impresos que conservan su poesía. Sabemos que algunos de estos testimonios estuvieron al cuidado del propio autor: contamos con un cartapacio autógrafo suyo (Madrid, Real Biblioteca, Ms. II/1579), y con manuscritos destinados a la imprenta (Palma de Mallorca, Biblioteca March, Ms. MA16-6-10), además de los impresos supervisados directamente por él. El artículo tantea la viabilidad de la aplicación de los principios de la filología de autor a la poesía de Pedro de Padilla. Como botón de muestra de las posibilidades que brinda este método, se eligen dos sonetos que presentan variantes de autor. Gracias a un cotejo puntual de los testimonios, es posible plantear problemas ecdóticos y proponer modelos de edición que se ajusten a las distintas exigencias de representación genética y evolutiva de sus poemas.The works of Pedro de Padilla have sparked significant scholarly interest, thanks to editions of both manuscript and print collections of his poetry. We know that some of these witnesses were controlled by the author himself: we have an autograph (Madrid, Real Biblioteca, MS II/1579), some manuscripts used by the printers of his poetry collections (Palma de Mallorca, Biblioteca March, MS MA16-6-10), and some printed books that the author directly supervised. This paper demonstrates the possibilities of applying authorial philology to the poems of Padilla. We focus on two of the author’s sonnets, in order to highlight problems of textual criticism found therein. Ruy Mauro Marini: Ditadura, política e debates intelectuais
No full textNeste artigo, abordamos a trajetória de Ruy Mauro Marini, importante intelectual brasileiro que, em virtude da perseguição de que foi alvo durante a ditadura, acabou mais reconhecido no exterior, especialmente na América Latina, que no Brasil. A trajetória intelectual de Marini, um dos principais elaboradores da teoria marxista da dependência e autor do clássico ensaio Dialética da dependência, é comparada à do sociólogo Fernando Henrique Cardoso. Analisamos a relação entre o desenvolvimento da ditadura civil-militar no Brasil e sua dialética entre o Estado e a oposição, como fundamenta Alves (2005), e o debate intelectual em busca da interpretação da realidade econômica e social brasileira e latino-americana, que pode ser sintetizada na formulação das teorias sobre a dependência. Com base nessa contextualização, abordamos o papel dos intelectuais nas disputas políticas, o exílio e a volta ao país depois do auge da ditadura. This paper addresses the trajectory of Ruy Mauro Marini, a leading Brazilian intellectual who was more recognized abroad, especially in Latin America, than in our country, because of Brazilian dictatorship\u27s persecution. The intellectual history of Marini, who was one of the main authors of Marxist Theory of Dependency, author of the classic essay Dialectics of Dependence, is compared with the trajectory of the sociologist Fernando Henrique Cardoso. We analyze the relationship between the development of Civil Military Dictatorship in Brazil and its dialectic between state and opposition, according to Alves\u27 proposition (2005). We also analyze the intellectual debate in order to search for an interpretation of economic and social reality in Brazil and Latin America that can be synthesized in the formulation theories about dependency. No full textSon poco usuales los estudios que, desde una perspectiva sociopolítica, abordan temáticas que convencionalmente se consideran circunscritas al campo jurídico. en este escrito, Marini se propone un estudio a fondo de la Constitución brasileña de 1988, requisito que él considera indispensable para proyectar, sobre bases sólidas, el rumbo que tomará el actual proceso de revisión de que es objeto la Carta Magna y cómo influirá en el futuro del proceso democrático brasileño. Desde los conceptos de la teoría política clásica, Marini da cuenta de la "historia constitucional" del país y analiza ampliamente la coyuntura de la que surge la Constitución actual.Evaluations that look upon thematics that are conventionally considered restrictive to the legal sphere seem rtaher unusual when seen from a sociopolitical perspective. Here Marini puts forward a concise evaluation of Brazil's Constitution of 1988. A study that the author considers indispensable to project the path that the revision process. Marini gives account of the Constitution's historical background from the concepts of clasic political theory
