    Production of P-cs (4459) from Xi(b) Decay

    Inspired by the P-cs (4459) reported by the LHCb collaboration recently, we investigate the P-cs (4459) production from Xi(b) decay in a molecular scenario using an effective Lagrangian approach. With different J(P) assignments to P-cs (4459), the magnitude of branching fractions of Xi(b) -> P-cs (4459) K is estimated, which is of the order of 10(-4). Together with the decay properties of P-cs (4459), the present estimations could be further testified by precise measurements and contribute to a better understanding of the molecular interpretations and the exploration of J(P) quantum numbers of P-cs (4459).Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Grant No. 11775050), and the Scientific Research Foundation of Graduate School of Southeast University (Grant No. YBPY2028)

    International audienceUsing data samples of 102 million Upsilon(1S) events and 158 million Upsilon(2S) events collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+ee^+e^- collider, we search for [udsccbar] pentaquark states decaying to Jpsi Lambda. Using the first observations of Upsilon(1S, 2S) inclusive decays to Jpsi Lambda, we find evidence of the P_ccbars(4459)0 state with a significance of 3.3 standard deviations, including statistical and systematic uncertainties. We measure the mass and width of the Pccbars(4459)0 to be (4471.7 +- 4.8 +- 0.6) MeV/c2 and (21.9 +- 13.1 +- 2.7) MeV, respectively. The branching fractions for P_ccbars(4459)0 production are measured to be B[Upsilon(1S) -> P_ccbars(4459)0/ Pbar_ccbars(4459)0 + anything] = (3.5 +- 2.0 +- 0.2)*10-6 and B[Upsilin(2S) -> P_ccbars(4459)0/ Pbar_ccbars(4459)0 +anything] = (2.9 +- 1.7 +- 0.4)*10-6. The inclusive branching fractions of Upsilon(1S, 2S) -> Jpsi Lambda/Lambdabar are measured to be B[Upsilin(1S) -> Jpsi Lambda/Lambdabar + anything] = (36.9 +- 5.3 +- 2.4)*10-6 and B[Upsilon(2S) -> Jpsi Lambda/Lambdabar + anything] = (22.3 +- 5.7 +- 3.1)*10-6. We measure the visible cross section σ(e+eJ/psiΛ/Λˉ\sigma(e^+e^- \to J/psi \Lambda/\bar\Lambda + anything) = (90 +- 14 +- 6) fb for the continuum production at s=10.52\sqrt{s} = 10.52 GeV.     The Pcs(4459)P_{cs}(4459) pentaquark from a combined effective field theory and phenomenological perspective

    International audienceThe observation of the Pcs(4459)P_{cs}(4459) by the LHCb collaboration adds a new member to the set of known hidden-charm pentaquarks, which includes the Pc(4312)P_c(4312), Pc(4440)P_c(4440) and Pc(4457)P_c(4457). The Pcs(4459)P_{cs}(4459) is expected to have the light-quark content of a Λ\Lambda baryon (I=0I=0, S=1S=-1), but its spin is unknown. Its closeness to the DˉΞc{\bar{D}}^* \Xi _c threshold – 4478MeV4478\,{\mathrm{MeV}} in the isospin-symmetric limit – suggests the molecular hypothesis as a plausible explanation for the Pcs(4459)P_{cs}(4459). While in the absence of coupled-channel dynamics heavy-quark spin symmetry predicts the two spin-states of the DˉΞc{\bar{D}}^* \Xi _c to be degenerate, power counting arguments indicate that the coupling with the nearby DˉΞc{\bar{D}} \Xi _c' and DˉΞc{\bar{D}} \Xi _c^* channels might be a leading order effect. This generates a hyperfine splitting in which the J=32DˉΞcJ=\tfrac{3}{2}{\bar{D}}^* \Xi _c pentaquark will be lighter than the J=12J=\tfrac{1}{2} configuration, which we estimate to be of the order of 515MeV5-15\,{\mathrm{MeV}}. We also point out an accidental symmetry between the Pcs(4459)P_{cs}(4459) and Pc(4440/4457)P_c(4440/4457) potentials. Finally, we argue that the spectroscopy and the J/ψΛJ/\psi \Lambda decays of the Pcs(4459)P_{cs}(4459) might suggest a marginal preference for J=32J = \tfrac{3}{2} over J=12J = \tfrac{1}{2}
