The Role of Digital Transformation in Moderating The Influence of Green Innovation Capability on Supply Chain Resilience and Competitive Advantage
Digital transformation and breakthrough innovations that contain concern for the environment can answer the target of reducing logistics costs and regulatory provisions which ultimately become a source of excellence for companies and maintain company’s supply chain resilience. The aim is to explore digital transformation role and the ability to innovate in generating supply chain resilience and competitive advantage for companies. This research was conducted on 168 stevedoring service companies in 5 major Indonesian ports that are members of the Association of stevedoring companies in Indonesia. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires via Google Forms, and subsequently analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study found that companies with strong green innovation capabilities had higher supply chain resilience and competitive advantage. Digital transformation for companies weakens the ability to innovate green in gaining supply chain resilience as long as the breakthrough innovation made is not related to technology adaptation. Different results show that digital transformation strengthens the ability to innovate green and generate competitive advantages for companies. The findings of this study provide further evidence to support the theory of competitive advantage based on the resource-based view (RBV).

Investigating Farmers’ Preferences For Crop Insurance Product Attributes in Indonesia Using The Bayesian Best-Worst Method
Background: In 2015, the government of Indonesia launched a crop insurance program to anticipate the economic impact of crop failure on farmers due to the climate crisis. Despite the government\u27s high premium subsidy, farmers\u27 participation rate in crop insurance remains very low. Therefore, a study is needed to determine which product attributes in an agricultural insurance product are important to farmers and can affect their participation rate. Purpose: This study aims to investigate the factors that farmers consider when selecting a crop insurance product. Design/methodology/approach: The study focuses on the features of the Rice Farm Insurance (AUTP) product: total sum insured, product type, premium, risk coverage, and claim. The research was conducted by sending questionnaires to 110 farmers in 15 villages in Sliyeg, Indramayu. The Bayesian Best-Worst Method was used to analyze the data. Using a scale from 1 to 9, the best and worst criteria are compared pairwise.Findings/Result: The findings indicated that the total sum insured is the most crucial consideration for farmers when choosing a crop insurance product, followed by the premium, risk coverage, terms of claims, and product type. The top two positions of the product attributes are finance-related, indicating a need for improved understanding of agricultural risk management among farmers, extending beyond dollar amount, through continuous education. With the findings in this study, the government and other stakeholders need to develop effective strategies to increase farmers\u27 awareness of the importance of insurance in managing their business risks. This study\u27s added value comes from convincingly showing that farmers prioritize the amount of sum insured over premiums and other aspects. Other researchers can use this research as a springboard to learn more about the importance of product attributes in creating crop insurance products.Conclusion: The top two positions of the product attributes are finance-related, indicating a need for improved understanding of agricultural risk management among farmers, extending beyond dollar amount, through continuous education. Purchasing Behavior and Its Determinants Toward Chicken Eggs in Different Consumer Segments: Evidence From Indonesian Millennial and Z Generations
As the demand for chicken eggs continues to increase, currently Indonesian consumers also have many choices in the decision to purchase good quality eggs in the context of type, quality and place of purchase of eggs. The diverse quality of egg products in the market shows that the Indonesian egg market is increasingly segmented. This research aims to analyze the purchasing behavior of chicken eggs and the factors influencing purchasing decisions in the millennial and Z generations as Indonesia\u27s largest consumer segments. This research used primary data from both online and offline surveys of 365 respondents in Greater Jakarta. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and partial least squares-structural equation modeling. The results showed that the millennial generation tends to purchase eggs more in a month and consider nutritional value, while the Z generation tends to be price oriented. The results also showed that price, purchase location and consumer knowledge significantly positively affected egg purchase decision for both the millennial and Z consumer segments. In addition, millennial consumers also consider product qualities and lifestyle in their chicken egg purchase decision. A better understanding of consumer behaviour for chicken eggs among different segments is vital for marketers to efficiently meet the expected and dynamic consumer demand.

Effect of Knowledge and Awareness on Cooperative Membership: Role of Socio-Demographic Profile in Cavite, Philippines
Background: Membership in cooperatives is crucial for fostering collective strength and sustaining the organization, enhancing its ability to serve members effectively. By comprehending the factors influencing membership, cooperatives can develop targeted recruitment strategies, bridging gaps in effective recruitment and involvement in Philippine cooperatives. Purpose: This study delves into how knowledge and awareness levels impact cooperative membership while examining how socio-demographic factors like age, gender, education, and income moderate these relationships among members and non-members. Design/methodology/approach: Data from 764 respondents, including cooperative members and non-members from the top 30 cooperatives in Cavite, Philippines, binary logistic regression and diagnostic tests were utilized. Findings/ Results: The study reveals that educational initiatives are vital for promoting cooperative engagement, with higher knowledge levels significantly increasing the likelihood of membership. Demographic factors such as age and gender were found to moderate the influence of education and income on cooperative membership, indicating the need for more tailored and inclusive policies. The research shows that older individuals were less influenced by awareness efforts, while those with higher education were more likely to join cooperatives when well-informed. Although there were mixed effects of demographic factors on the relationship between awareness and membership, these effects were not statistically significant, suggesting that more detailed examination is needed.Conclusions: The study concludes that educational initiatives significantly enhance cooperative membership, particularly when tailored to specific demographic groups. Age and gender moderate the effect of knowledge and education, emphasizing the need for customized policies. However, further research is needed as demographic effects on awareness and membership were not statistically significant.Originality/ value (State of the art): The study stems from its novel examination of the interplay between knowledge, awareness, and socio-demographic factors in influencing cooperative membership, particularly in Philippine cooperatives. It adds value in providing actionable insights for cooperative policymakers, enabling the design of more targeted, inclusive recruitment strategies that address demographic diversity and promote sustainable cooperative growth.

Competitiveness of Indonesia\u27s Agricultural Exports To China: Trends and Strategic Insights
Background: Economic development in open economies like Indonesia was marked by international trade. Starting with the restoration of diplomatic relations in 1990, China emerged as one of the biggest trading partners for Indonesia. However, Indonesia\u27s competitiveness in the international market remained at a concerning level compared to other major exporters.Purpose: The research was conducted on the competitiveness of Indonesia\u27s agriculture exports to China during 2019-2023, for certain commodities, and described Indonesia\u27s current market position and growth prospects.Design/Methodology/Approach: The paper applied the Revealed Comparative Advantage and the methodologies of Export Product Dynamics in order to judge Indonesia\u27s competitive position in major agricultural products, such as coconut, cashew nut, Brazil nut, coffee, nutmeg, cardamom, palm oil, copra, and natural rubber.Findings/Result: The analysis showed that nutmeg and cardamom showed outstanding growth, placing them in the "Rising Stars" status in the Chinese market, as evidenced by their high export share growth coupled with a high increase in global market share. On the other hand, palm oil and copra recorded negative competitiveness, leading into the "Retreat" quadrant.Conclusion: The study suggested that to build Indonesia\u27s competitiveness in agricultural exports, it was important to improve quality and value addition through processing, besides non-tariff barrier understanding. These strategies would further fortify Indonesia\u27s market position and trade performance at large with China and globally.Originality/value (State of the art): For the first time, this research performed updated research on agri-food products export competitiveness of Indonesia to the Chinese market, by using updated data availability (2019-2023) and combined methodology approach between RCA and EPD. The obtained insights would be very important guidance for policymakers in the formulation of endorsing better trade policies in agricultural commodities within Indonesia to increase its presence in world markets.

Export Destinations Mapping of Indonesian Tea Products in The International Market
Indonesian tea products have become an export-oriented commodity. However, Indonesian tea products trade performance, particularly the exports, has shown a persistent decline for the last decade (2012–2021). Therefore, this study aims to analyse the competitiveness of Indonesia tea products export as well as map the export destinations for Indonesia tea products. This study employs secondary data regarding tea product export value from UN Comtrade during the 2012–2021 period with analysis using revealed comparative advantage (RCA), export product dynamic (EPD), and X-model potential export product. The RCA results suggest that Indonesian tea products exhibit an overall strong comparative advantage in the international market, albeit still lagging behind India. Additionally, Indonesia also exhibits a strong comparative advantage in all tea products, except tea extract and preparation products. The EPD results show that Indonesia possesses a competitive advantage in packaged black tea, bulk green tea, also tea extract and preparation products. The export destination mapping reveals the 28 potential destinations serving as the focus for Indonesian tea export expansion. These potential destinations are dominated by the non-traditional.

Determining The Commodities and Primary Areas of The Plantation Crop Subsector in The Meranti Islands Regency
Background: To enhance a region\u27s economy, it is essential to implement a development strategy focused on key sectors. This includes identifying and leveraging the potential of the plantation crop subsector to create competitive, high-value agricultural activities that can increase regional income. Purpose: This study aims to identify the key commodities and areas within each plantation crop subsector in Meranti Islands Regency, Riau Province. Design/methodology/approach: It utilizes five years of production data (2017-2021) from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Meranti Islands Regency. Analytical methods used to identify the superior products of plantation crops include the Sectoral Contribution Index (IKS), Growth Ratio Model (MRP), Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Composite Index (IK) and Hot Spot (Getis-Ord Gi*). Findings/Result: The results indicate that the leading plantation crop commodities in Meranti Islands Regency are sago, coconut, coffee, and areca nut. These commodities are identified as the most promising based on their contribution, growth rate, production capacity to meet regional needs, export potential, and future prospects. The flagship areas are Tebing Tinggi Timur District for sago, Rangsang District for coconut, Rangsang Pesisir District for coffee, and Rangsang Barat District for areca nut. The Impact of Fish Farmers’ Group Participation on The Catfish Sector Income in Pringsewu District
Background: Challenges farmers face such as low bargaining power, difficulty accessing information regarding farming and marketing of production can be overcome if catfish farmers are active in fish farmers’ groups. Fish farming groups were formed to increase their members\u27 farming income, through implementing fisheries businesses supported by infrastructure assistance from the Government. Purpose: This research aims to analyze the role of fish farmers groups towards members, analyze catfish on farm income, and analyze differences in income based on participation in farming groups. Design/methodology/approach: This study used a non-probability sampling method to sample 100 catfish farmers which is divided into 51 members and 49 non-members of the fish farming group. The method used is quantitative analysis using Endogenous Switching Regression (ESR) model analysis. Findings/Result: The results of the research show that the fish farmers group has a sufficient role as a place for teaching and learning, a place for cooperation and production units, and the rho (ρ) value in the ESR model estimation shows that participation in farmers group has a positive impact on the income of members of catfish farming, namely that members\u27 on farm income is greater than the income of random sample individuals and the income of non-members of the fish farmers group.Conclusion: Role and participation in fish farming groups have a positive impact on members\u27 on farm income, namely members\u27 income is greater than non-members, and members\u27 on farm income can increase.Originality/value (State of the art): This research uses exogenous and endogenous variables which together in the ESR method can influence participation decisions in fish farming groups. Research by Mutiara et al. (2023) used a questionnaire to analyze the role of cultivation groups qualitatively, while in the research, apart from using a questionnaire with a Likert scale, empirical evidence was also carried out using the ESR model.

Farmer\u27s Decisions in Selecting Superior Shallot Seeds in Solok Regency West Sumatra
Background: Shallots are a commodity that is exceptionally strategic and economical regarding farming profits. One way that farmers can increase production results is by adopting technology, such as using superior seeds. Purpose: This research aims to describe the implementation of the SOP for SS Sakato red onion farming, identify factors that influence farmers using superior SS Sakato seeds, and analyze differences in performance between shallot farmers who use SS Sakato seeds and Non SS Sakato seeds.Design/methodology/approach: The methods used are qualitative and quantitative analysis, logit regression analysis, and propensity score matching (PSM) analysis. Findings/Result: The results show that the SOP adoption rate for shallots is 82%, with the highest SOP adoption being plant maintenance and the lowest SOP adoption rate determining when to plant. Factors significantly influencing farmers\u27 decisions to use superior SS Sakato seeds in Sungai Nanam are farmer education, farmer income, access to production facilities, agricultural extension, land area, and seed resistance to pests and diseases. The use of superior SS Sakato seeds significantly positively impacts shallot production and farmer profit in shallot farming. The use of superior SS Sakato seeds can increase the income of shallot farmers even though the costs of farming are higher. The use of superior seeds should be able to reduce the costs that farmers have to pay, but in this study, the costs incurred by farmers remained high.Conclusion: Increasing the productivity of shallots can be achieved by using quality seeds, using shallot varieties that are highly productive, adaptive, and resistant to pests and diseases, and improving cultivation techniques according to SOP. Farmers who use superior SS Sakato seeds should comply with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to maximize shallot production. With an emphasis on increasing production, there should be support for farmers from seed breeding institutions to innovate in order to be able to provide superior seeds, support from technology-producing institutions, and support from extension services both from the government and the private sector.Originality/value (State of the art): This study describes that the use of superior seeds will impact the production and productivity of shallots, costs incurred by farmers, and farmer profits. Technology is an essential factor in influencing the production function; utilizing technology will have implications for increasing efficiency. Superior seeds are a technology that can have a long-term impact.

The Roles of Smart Fertigation in Chili Farming
Smart farming technology has been developed with Agriculture 4.0 to improve productivity and yield quality and solve challenges such as climate change, labor shortage due to regeneration difficulties, and resource efficiency. The objectives of this study were to analyze (1) the characteristics of farmers and chili production using smart fertigation and (2) the cost structure, revenue, profit, and efficiency. The study used primary data from interviews with 83 farmers in Central and East Java. Analytical methods included descriptive statistics, Cobb-Douglas production functions, and R/C. The results showed that smart fertigation farmers, who represented 2% of the total, had higher education (17 years), longer training (124 days), and significant participation in farmer groups (100%). The role of smart fertigation in chili production is to increase productivity (from 8.35 t/ha to 20.67 t/ha), reduce fertilizer use (from 26.730 t/ha to 8.540 t/ha) and reduce labor requirements from 748.17 HOK/ha to 609.33 HOK/ha. Despite the higher farm costs/ha with smart fertigation, the higher total revenue (due to increased productivity and selling price) results in higher profit and efficiency (R/C).
